- Just simple Comfortable Relaxed Gracious Accommodating Made travel arrangements for taxi
- I stayed at ACK Guest House for one week and appreciated that it offers good value for money. The location is very convenient, being close to my training venue. Although the hotel is old, it is clean and well maintained. The staff at the reception were very helpful and always went the extra mile whenever I needed assistance. I especially liked the shower, it was hot and powerful.
- I was eating breakfast at the venue of my workshop.
Cons -
- Old School But very much maintained to good standards
- What I didn’t like: The housekeeping missed clearing the tissues from the bathroom, so I found tissues left by the previous guest when I arrived. The safety box is very old and not user-friendly; I tried to get it maintained, but it was not successful.
- Water in the shower was not hot it was just warm. I think you should also provide some shower caps. The Guest House should notify the guests that they will be paying for their own transport on arrival from the airport.

Quiteness of the place, breakfast, supportive staff
TV not workingSafety lock not functioningFew amenities (e.g, no shampoo and conditioner)
Twas OK.
Shower - was hard to get the temperature right. I'd hoped to find more church people, but was told that these days its much like a regular hotel. I ended up overpaying.
ACK Guest house is my "home from home" when in Nairobi. The staff are all friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Just 30 minutes from the airport it's a handy place to stay when in transit.
The location was good for me and the rooms were comfortable.
When I booked via Booking.com it said free airport shuttle and breakfast included. However, when I asked them to arrange an airport shuttle upon arrival, I was expected to pay $19 (which was also more than double the price of the same ride with Uber). I also was told that I had to pay separately for breakfast ($8). I recommend that the information on the Booking.com site is updated to manage expectations.
Peaceful and quiet, nice bed and good wifi. Food was also tasty and freshly made. Breakfast was great, was a buffet during our stay.
I expected a buffet breakfast but it appeared changes had been made but no-one explained that. I have used the facility several times before and the buffet breakfast was fantastic
There weren't towels in the room , kettle , tea bags and or coffee but had to order soft drinks tough checked in late
Safe and quiet
Located in the middle of nowhere and the restaurant inside was not really helpful
Big changes since our last visit. Rooms comfortable
Couldn’t get hot water. But we arrived late and was leaving early. Didn’t have time to sort.
Breakfast was great healthy choices. kenyan tea was the best. We loved the location and it's proximity to the city.
The shower needs some attention. Too much water spills out making the floor fall risk. They should invest on shower doors to prevent water spilling on the floor outside the shower.
convenientwell run
no exercise gym needs more diversity on menu
Actually, I don't want to be too negative. I like the place. I have stayed with you 2-4 times over the years.. The price is affordable. The ambience is good and generally good natured and friendly. You can feel comfortable in a place that is not overly commercial and flashy. That appeals to an old timer like me. It is very secure. I have just stayed with you for 3 nights. These are my issues: 1. While there was hot water in the basin, there was only cold for the shower. I told the maid and reception but it stayed the same. 2. The room, which I booked online, was advertised as having hi-speed internet. At least half of the time I couldn't even connect. I got a safaricom sim card with data and had perfect coverage with my d'link. But that was only on my third day. 3. Socket under the desk loose and possibly dangerous. Finally, the pillows on the bed are rock hard. Put me in mind of Jacob having a stone for a pillow! Genesis 28:10-22. I will stay with you again (if you'll have me!) But I will write beforehand asking to be sure to get hot water for a shower and to show some mercy in the pillow department. I am glad to have the opportunity to offer some feedback ana kwa ana. I wouldn't want to say anything negative on something like Trip Advisor. On the contrary, I would very much like, after my next visit, to send a very positive review. Have you considered upgrading some of your rooms? Better mosquito nets, better desks and bedside tables with lamps. I am an owner/manager of a small, similar sized 90 year old country hotel in TZ. I appreciate the cost issues involved in upgrading. I think in Nairobi you have an assured market. Moderate investment in upgrading, section by section, would pay off, I think. Somewhat higher prices for better rooms would be appropriate. You have a really important place, wonderful location, and I wish you all the best.
I had an exceptional experience. The place is a bit far from the airport and I was initially worried about missing my connecting flight, but staff were very helpful in arranging transport
Not
The staff were professional, responsive and the hotel was flexible to my needs as I was visiting during demonstrations and had to change a few things.
Staff was very cooperative and helpful. Room was very clean with a good view.
breakfast can be improved. the hot water pressure in the room was fluctuating though the Reception staff was very keep to help.
Breakfast was excellent, nutritious and wholesome. Breakfast is also ready early which was good for those who have earlier start times to their day.
Make the rooms warmer. Heater, warmer duvets etc could all be options.
Friendly customer services
Rooms were to cold should consider extra blankets.
The location is very good The room is comfortable and clean Friendly atmosphere Feels safeGood connections to the city and surrounding
The quality of breakfast has gone down I have used the guest house for the past twenty years when visiting Nairobi. Previously, the breakfast was excellent.I hope the management can improve
