Pros +
- The hotel was clean and the room was spacious. The staff was friendly and professional. Money exchange was available at the front desk, a nice perk. Breakfast was served at reasonable varied time and there was plenty to choose from.
- We had a wonderful experience at Royal Tulip Canaan Nairobi. The ambience was excellent, and the reception staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Whenever we had questions, they were always ready with clear and friendly answers, especially regarding the food.We also visited the massage center, and it was a fantastic experience. The massage therapists were highly professional, skilled, and followed traditional techniques. They truly did an outstanding job.Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Royal Tulip Canaan. I am very happy to give a 10-star rating to this hotel.
- Location is great
Cons -
- I had a lot of issues with water temperature in my bathroom; The water shower will only spew out cold/warm water every so often and I had to get an engineer each time to address this. This was very inconvenient and impacted my schedule a lot of times. There were no washcloths in the bathroom and the quality of towels were lacking for a 4-star hotel.
- I checked in at 12 midnight after an 8 hr long flight. I had so many bags so the front desk stuff asked someone to help me with my bags to my room. Anyway I did not have any cash on me to tip the guy so I told him I will tip him in the morning, I just wanted to shower and go straight to bed. the guy said i should use my card to tip him that he cannot wait till tomorrow. He stood outside my door. So I had to go down to the front desk to tip him. I had no problem tipping him however I thought that was very unprofessional and rude. Anyway we were a group of 5 and we booked our stay for 7 nights but the service in the place wasn’t good at all. If anything most of the staffs were rude and not accommodating at all. They kept making up new rules everyday. We were not allowed to take pictures in the lobby, even though we are staying there, they told our guests that they are only allowed to visit for 2 hours, what kind of a hotel tells you how long your allowed to have people over. And it’s not like we were partying, The rooms are way smaller than advertised, the drainage in the bathroom wasn’t working, some of my friends rooms had brooked locks that they didn’t bother to repair before we checked in, that’s a 3 star hotel at best
- Hot shower did not work until the next day when I was checking out. Sheets were dirty when, the carpet is stuffy and old.

“I liked the natural light, the quiet neighborhood, and the overall cleanliness. It felt like a comfortable and welcoming place to live.”
Location is good and accessible
Hot shower did not work until the next day when I was checking out. Sheets were dirty when, the carpet is stuffy and old.
The food was halal which was great. Room service was fairly decent.
The bathrooms are poorly designed and afford little privacy especially if the family involves a child. There are no hooks to hang clothes within the bathrooms. Some stuff in the room service was overcharged upon checkout so make sure that this is handled.
Location close to the city, Westlands, and other facilities.
The food is average, especially the breakfast.
Excellent location and caring staff
Spacious rooms but the layout could be improved
Location is good, not so far from centre. There are some restaurants & a supermarket nearby on walking distance.Staff is wonderful & made us feel so welcomed. They even packed the breakfast since we had to leave early morning for safari.
Lack of public transportation. We took a local sim so it was easier to get Uber otherwise the location is not exactly on Main Street.
Location is great and the rooms are nicely done
They were short of staff at night and we had to wait more than an hour for water
The type of food served are nice and well prepared, customer care is good at the the restaurant.
The way customers are harassed when time for serving breakfast is over. I don't find it a good treatment to customers at my side.
The breakfast was great, many options and every option was delicious
The first staff that checked us in was a bit rude, but the others came to our rescue and even upgraded us so it was great.
Very good location and easy access to everywhere around Nairobi Beautiful room comfortable and excellent & helping staff. Especially Joan , Edward and Victoria + all workers were friendly and so professional. Also breakfast was very good .
One has to pay for the water
Location, decor, room itself
Power cuts, room overlooking apartments, hot water takes too long to flow,
The location, the food quality in the restaurant, restaurant staff, front desk staff willingness to help. Security staff kindness was also unsurpassed.
The hotel was short in gym staff.
ES UNA ESTAFA CUIDADO!!!!!!!! IT IS SCAM BE VERY VERY CARFEULL. The person who was supposed to give me the keys, did not responened my calls at the begining then, after waiting an hour he changed the address for me to go to another polace, I started to be very concerned as the location was in a dodgy area. I was very concerned for my life and my mother´s life who was living with me. Be very carefull and never book trough this person.

The structure is quite good. I had very good meal at the restaurants and the SPA was very good.
The room has a carpet. Generally speaking I don't like carpet in the room but if there is a carpet it MUST be absolutely Clean. The carpet in my room was having bad stains!
breakfast option is not good because they charge a good amount. But options are limited.
Rooms are not clean.
We enjoyed our stay and everything was exactly as shown. Also, I would like to personally thank Margaret who was organizing for us transport around Nairobi and to the Airport. She was the best!
Spacious room, courteous staff. Good pizzas.
Limited food choices in the restaurant.
