Cons -
- No air conditioning or mosquito nets (so no chance of having window open)

Breakfast is always so good. Big ups to the Chef.

This was the second time I stayed at the After 40, and it was as comfortable as I remembered from the last time. I enjoyed the breakfast and the unique view from the dining room. Also, the hotel is in a very convenient location, right downtown. The staff are competent and kind. I also booked a conference room for two days, and found the facilities and service to be good quality.
My colleagues had issues with mosquitos on a lower floor, though I did not have any problem on floor 8.
I like the location only.
When I booked the room, it shows room size is 430 square feet but room sizes are around 150 square feet only. Room was so bad. I told them to change the room and they changed it after a day. Linen were so dirty. Cockroaches, mosquitoes are common to see in the room. We couldn't sleep due to mosquitoes in the room. We requested them to rovide us fan and they provided us only in the last day during our 3 nights stay. It was our first visit in Nairobi and it was like nightmare. It is not worthy at all as we paid. We don't recommend to stay this hotel.
Location,good value for money..
Upgrade television channels
Rooms are clean, and quiet. Breakfast was good.
The room was clean and the staff were nice. This is a 3 star hotel and it met our expectations
All good
Location and value.
I wish I had a bit more of hot water and better TV quality but those little things were not that important.
The location was great, especially for us as two females from South Africa. The rooms were very.clean, as well as the bathroom.
TV had no decent channels, and the worst part, when I asked for a bit of milk for my coffee, I was told they have to charge me. I'm a frequent traveller, and never did I have to pay for milk.
The personeel is professional and friendly. Customer care is really good.It was my second time staying here. I sure will come back next year
Location. If you want to be downtown in the heart of the city, where it is alive and vibrant, the hotel is a great place to stay. It is located on the back streets, off the main Moi Avenue, so it is quieter than the hotels on Moi Avenue. The area is safe, so don't worry about that. The hotel is located close to a couple of interesting open markets, selling crafts etc. The rooms are small, which is ok if, like me, you are out most of the time. They have a nice bathroom, and the beds are comfy. The staff are pleasant and helpful, and the laundry service is of excellent quality.
The bar/restaurant is ridiculously expensive, considering that it is an average hotel. For example, I was quoted 350 KSH for a bottle of water to take to my room. A smart restaurant, for example, would charge 200 KSH, and a cafe 100 KSH.
The room I was in was noisy, and the following day I booked for hotel taxi to drop me off but the driver kept lying until he delayed to pick me up by 47 minutes than the initially planned 20 minimum
Very nice hotel, easy to access with a Taxi/Uber: They block a little space in front of the hotel so that one can park easily for some minutes. They have a 24/7 restaurant in the 10th floor which is quite beautiful.
The staff were courteous and always trying to help. The location is great.
My stay was somewhat eventful! I was checked into a room whose WiFi connection was intermittent. I also had a safe in the room for storage of valuables, but the safe didn't work. I asked if it could be fixed or if one could be provided, so they asked if I was okay with being moved to another room instead, to which I responded in the affirmative. I was moved to a different floor where the internet was working just fine. However, when i tried to use the safe in the new room, it was similarly non-functional. Late in the night, perhaps 2 or 3 a.m., I was suddenly awakened by a stranger entering my room using a key card! He expected the room to be vacant. When he realised the room wasn't, he mumbled a few words and left closing the door behind him. I was deep asleep when he came in! When I enquired about it the following day, I was informed that when I was moved to a different room, it only happened physically, but they forgot to do it on the system. The gent that came in was apparently an auditor doing his rounds, I presume, to confirm that rooms marked as vacant on the system indeed were! I wondered why they don't just use CCTV review, which captures all room entrances! On one of the mornings, I had an invigilated exam to take, which I planned to do in my room. So I put out the "do not disturb" sign. To my dismay, I was "disturbed" when housekeeping came knocking at the door despite the sign! Realising that the housekeeper was unrelenting, I said to him, "Come back later." He came back later and was at it again, knocking with the sign still there! I later removed the sign and asked that my room be cleaned. When it was completed, they didn't leave a fresh towel, so I had to request one. The towels, just like some of the beddings, were clean but visibly old. A colleague I travelled with spent only one night and relocated to a nearby hotel! My general impression was that the hotel was not being well managed!
The staff is very courteous, supportive, and has a good location..
Lift, just one lift for the entire building
The location was excellent—convenient and easy to commute, making it effortless to explore the area. There were plenty of restaurants nearby, many within walking distance, offering a great variety of dining options. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help, making the experience even more enjoyable.
It was a bit narrow/small in terms of space.
Generally clean and convenient location
The shower was faulty. No response to correct even after informing the staff.
Great location downtown, all you need.
No fridge when I arrived but one was brought, but it smelled. Worked ok, though.
