Pros +
- Staff was generally friendly and accomodating. Common areas have a nice ambience in general.
- The only good thing was the location — a decent part of Kileleshwa. The property itself is spacious, though the way they use the space is, to put it mildly, unimpressive.
- The bar was professional, well stocked and priced. Bar staff was professional and helpful. Walk-able to National Arboretum. Close enough to Uber to everything you might want or need.
Cons -
- Facilities were much more run down that indicated in the pictures or description. The sheets were not clean (there was a very obvious armpit smell on the edges, I ended up flipping it around bc couldn't be bothered to alert the staff) and the sheets had that weird sticky residue feeling. Room wasn't set up for a mosquito net (but I saw that most other rooms were) -- it had the hook, but no headboard but I jerry rigged something, and there were definitely mosquitos.
- Tiny rooms, old furniture, terrible food, no electricity — which meant no hot water and no internet. We couldn’t even charge our phones. The Booking app said that a baby cot for a 10-month-old was provided free of charge, but on arrival they asked us to pay 10,000 shillings for it ? We refused. The cot was still in the room by default ? and in absolutely ruined condition ? The rooms smelled strongly of marijuana. We checked out a day early. They refused to refund us. A disgusting place.
- Different WiFi points all over the property. Signs posted with passwords were incorrect - you had to go find help to get the correct logins. Mattress not comfortable, but found that it was a pretty standard phenomenon throughout Kenya stays. Similar issue with towels and bedding - scratchy. Bathroom poorly lighted. Room could have used a fan.

Property is good with good green cover and is accessible.
When I arrived in the morning Night receptionist was rude asking why did you come now it's 2 hrs early, Staff was unaccommodating, did not even provide water despite of asking multiple times, cleaning was done only when I requested multiple times. while leaving when I asked for receptionist to the staff the so that I can return the key, the receptionist rudely said you don't need to call me just keep the key and go.
It’s a Resort type Stay1.Good location at hill area, also near to Supermarket2.They have in-house restaurant, offer 20% discount for in-house guest3.Garden open space for walk4.Big parking5.Staff good, also 24hrs. security staff at main gate6.Overall Worth for pay
1.No good internet2.Room size very small
A complete horrible place
Extremely Disappointing Experience – Do Not Stay Here!I booked a Superior Deluxe Room for two nights for my family at Sochati Casa Resort, but what we got was a basic Deluxe Room—completely different from what was advertised. The issues started the moment we checked in, and it just kept getting worse.1.Room Downgrade & False Advertising – The room I booked was supposed to have a garden view, but the one we got had no view at all. On top of that, there was no fan, no AC, and when we requested one, they gave us a broken standing fan that was completely useless.2.No Wi-Fi in the Middle of the City! – Imagine booking a stay in Nairobi and finding out that there is no working Wi-Fi! This is completely unacceptable, especially when internet access is a basic necessity for travelers.3.Filthy & Unhygienic Rooms – The mattress, bedsheets, and pillows were extremely dirty, looking like they had been used for 15-20 years without replacement. We did a late check-in, expecting the room to be ready, but we were shocked to find it unprepared!4.Disgusting Towels – The towels provided were smelly and dirty, making them completely unusable. I wouldn’t even use them to wipe the floor!5.Overpriced for the Quality – If the owner thinks they are offering budget-friendly accommodation, they are completely mistaken. The per-night charges are way too high for the terrible condition of the rooms and lack of basic facilities.I was so disappointed that I checked out one day early despite paying for two nights—just to escape the horrible experience. Maybe the extra money I left behind can be used to fix at least one room.To the owner: Running a hospitality business isn’t just about having a building—it’s about providing basic cleanliness, maintenance, and facilities. If you can’t even offer that, then you should rethink being in this business. For families: Stay away! If you care about hygiene, comfort, and even the basics like Wi-Fi, this place is a nightmare.
Cool and located in a good place
Paying by card option doesn’t exist eat n drink then you are told machine is broken
Large, comfy room in a hotel with a large, shady garden in a quiet neighbourhood. Had a delicious tilapia for dinner, after the first four choices on the menu were not available.
Staff needs some hospitality training. Music in the dining area was so loud I needed to don earplugs. In the end, I had to take my dinner in the garden, where the sound was bearable. Most items on the menu for dinner were not available.
Decent price for the location.
Tiny room, no sitting space contrary to what is advertised. Uncomfortable bed. Not very clean. Zero flexibility from the management concerning your booking.
I liked how they were friendly and welcoming.I liked their bed it was comfortable.
I didn't like the fact that they did have bathrobes.
Green spaces
The room looks far better on the website...It's terrible not even a chair to sit .The surrounding is far better than the rooms
Comfy rooms, nice setting, great staff
The best price/quality ratio in Nairobi. Nice rooms, great breakfast. Excellent service.
Great location. Everything you need 15min by cab. Great chef ?? ? food is really good.
Hotel Wasn't accepting cards. That was upsetting. Needed to go to the city and withdraw cash. Once I asked if I could break 1k shilling in half and after they occused me I took 2x500 + 1.000 back. It made me cry. I didn't come to Kenya from UK to steal. Whole trip was great, though.
nothing good to say
bath room not possible, no soap or shower gel, no hot water at the handwash basin, broken doors
The room was beautiful and quiet plus the bathroom was big I loved it.
The bed was so noisy
The staff was very kind and helpful, our all special requests were completed.
Even according to the original information paying by car is possible, but it was difficult and basically the staff did not want to allow it. But finally we could pay by card. The accommodation has several different quality building and rooms. In the main building the rooms are good, but very noisy, because the restaurant and bar is near here. In the new building the rooms are very good, but int the back building only so-so.There are a lot of mosquitoes. It is difficult to find the location, the googlemap navigates to the other side (Mandera road), but the entrance is on the Kandara road side.
The room was clean, nice wooden floors, simple classic design, nice shall garden and large open space, doesn't feel like you're in the city
Very loud music from the bar playing all day and evening which I could hear from my room. Couldn't sleep. Seems like they're running the place as a bar for external customers.
Serene location.Quietness.Cleanliness.
Somehow staff not enthusiastic and didn't handle us very well, throughout.
everything was good, specially Mr sam and Mr Mango were extremely welcoming
just it’s better to add some water, tea, or instant coffee to the rooms
