    Pros +

    • Tranquil and lovely! We had a wonderful stay. As soon as we entered the gates we immediately felt relaxed and comfortable. Everything is spotlessly clean and the staff were so helpful and friendly. We also loved the location- so close to all the things we wanted to do in Karen. Also as an extra bonus, they donate 100% of their proceeds to a local childrens charity. Definitely recommend Acacia Tree!
    • All clean. Bathroom good
    • Absolutely beautiful hotel. Great location, close to everything we needed. The staff was very accommodating and helped us with checking us in late, laundry etc. Would love to stay again some day.

    Cons -

    • Nothing, it was perfect.
    • Bed was very uncomfortable. Fan broken so you couldn't stop it turning. As it was warm we needed the fan but it kept clicking when it turned.
    • You do need to be mindful of noise; the corridors can echo and if you have rooms the side of the cafe then you will be aware of them setting up in the morning. There is also a very annoying high pitched noise connected to a pump that will annoy if you have rooms at the back - I believe they are sorting this though - they need to! I would recommend putting mosquito nets in all the rooms as they seem to have been removed and are needed. Service from the kitchen can be slow and their is no alcohol license so you need to take your own if you want wine or a beer with a meal.

Clean, quiet, beautiful landscaping, flowers, plants. All staff are friendly and helpful. Have stayed here 3 times and have never been disappointed. Food is really good. Nice outside dining area. Gift shop is a good addition. Great location.

When travelling through Nairobi we always choose to stay at Acacia Tree Lodge. It is perfectly located in the Karen, is very secure and a safe area and provides a very 'home away from home' personal service. It is relatively small so as not to be too busy and with the addition of the cafe now provides food and beverage options throughout the day. Service is always very friendly and helpful. We book airport transfers through the lodge and they can also assist with booking any local tour arrangements etc.

I really liked the friendly service and attention to detail. When wifi was choppy the staff went out of their way to ensure this issue was sorted. I like that this place is in Karen and surrounded by nature and close proximity to the Giraffe center and other cultural shopping places.

Just the choppy Wifi in the farthest rooms Otherwise all was good

Acacia Tree Lodge is located in a serene area in Karen. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff is super friendly. They have a beautiful garden restaurant, where they serve delicious meals. I've been here multiple times and keep on coming back!

The kindness and always happy faces of the staff. Everybody was trying to make our stay as memorable as possible. "our group and also friends will always come back.

We didn't like that at one morning the gras was sprayed with anti insect fume. It was a terrible disturbance, knowing that that fumigation material is toxic when breathing in.

Our stay at Acacia Tree Lodge was wonderful. All members of the staff are always very kind, helpful and attentive. The property and rooms are well furnished and always clean. Breakfast and dinner la carte were delicious.

Unfortunately, the building is not very soundproof, so that you'll hear people checking in and out at night if you have light sleep.

The lodge is at a great location. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good.

We really enjoyed our stay here, especially in regards of the serene and quiet location. Sitting in the garden and just enjoying the sound of birds chirping was really soothing. The staff are really excellent and accommodating. The breakfast was very nice, being served outdoors with an egg station. No crowds whatsoever, making us feel we are alone at the hotel.

Above each door, there is a one inch open gap, meaning that sound propels directly from the rooms into the shared corridor. This seemingly completely unnecessary opening means that one could hear talks from other rooms. This has been shared by many reviewers and I do not understand why it cannot be fixed.

Beautiful grounds. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Staff is friendly. Great place to stay

    9AbiodunPosted on: 11-21-2022

The staff are generally kind people. They are eager to be of help always. The food is great: either the complimentary breakfast or la carte.

The vacuuming of room should be thoroughly done after each guest because of little particles and hair that might be left over by outgoing guests. The pillows and mattresses are good but could be firmer for older people with osteoporosis or arthritis.

We couldn't have been happier with our choice of Acacia Tree lodge. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The staff were efficient, helpful and welcoming. The lodge and surrounds were a welcome and restful retreat from the dusty and crowded streets of Nairobi. A special thank you to Collins in the restaurant for his special efforts in responding to our questions and requests - we won't forget the white-thorn acacia!. We wish you well in the future Collins.

Great room with a comfy bed. Clean. Good food.

Beautiful grounds with a fabulous restaurant that served breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Rooms were lovely and spacious with a super comfortable bed. Huge shower with plenty of hot water. staff were very helpful and friendly. Loved my stay there!!!!!

The location is a little remote but it is close to the town of Karin, a large mall, and many restaurants.

    8StephaniePosted on: 10-2-2022

Excellent restaurant and very kind staff.

From certain rooms you hear a consistent clanging noise every 20 seconds. Sometimes it goes all night. Bring ear plugs just in case.

    9AndreaPosted on: 9-30-2022

I love that they are connected with helping children go to school! Foundations and non profits also stay here, as I talked work people from 2 different entities staying while I was there. The staff is wonderful! John helped me out in a rough situation, for which I'm very grateful! Unfortunately, I didn't get everyone's name, or I would give each and everyone I interacted with a shout-out!

They have communication in the bathroom that states if you don't want new towels, hang them up. I did, and they still changed the towels. No "do not disturb" to say you don't want service for the day. There was hair on the floor that wasn't mine.

    8LaurentPosted on: 9-25-2022

very well decorated and fully furnished

it was a bit noisy during the night. nothing critical but it might be disturbing

    7EdwardPosted on: 9-25-2022

Weve stayed here a few times and it always serves purpose well. Clean, well located and staff are friendly.

The new breakfast set up is not as good as the old one. Please go back to the buffet with ordering hot food. Table service for tea, cereal, fruit etc did not work; have it laid out for people to help themselves.
