Pros +
- Friendly staff
- They are a 4-star hotel according to their own definition.
- The location is just perfect, very close to the main square, the staff is friendly and helpful.
Cons -
- Location busy street, difficult to park at the Hotel to check in.
- - no English- internet didn't work in our room, the only solution they could provide was to work from their conference room on the first floor which is quite noisy. Once they locked me inside this room and it took a while to open- only one plug in the whole room- their announced restaurant works only for lunch and only on weekdays- the breakfast area had blasting loud music that kept pausing because of a bad connection. No hot food is offered, just snacks and fruit- there is not a single kettle in the whole building and there's no way to make yourself a hot drink. they kept saying that instead there's a coffeeshop but it only works on a full moon when the stars are aligned- different staff members say different information and it's super confusing- they claim there's a lot of help for tourists with transportation and bookings but in fact, when we asked about the buses they said 'go to the terminal, they will help you'. Thanks.
- It could be modernized a little

It could be modernized a little
I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The room was large, clean and serviced daily.Sleep quality was excellent....The staff were friendly and I want to thank Paola in particular for the help she gave on my first day to contact a tour company...Breakfast was very good and the location was perfect-a short walk to Plaza Colón...Worth returning to....
I liked everything.
The location es really excellent, just two blocks from the main square in the very historic centre of Cochabamba city.
Actually the hotel in nice, comfortable, clean and with a good view on the high floors.
Reasonably good location. Air conditioner worked well and bed was fairly comfortable.
Wi-Fi was intermittent at best.No warm/hot water for shower, and shower itself wasn’t great.Attempted to charge me an extra bed for a guest, even though there was no extra bed placed in the room which is far more expensive than a room for two. Not only this, but they attempted to charge two nights even though my guest didn’t stay over both nights. After a fair amount of back and forth ( an hour ) it was conceded that it was in fact not an extra bed, nor was it two nights. Use caution on what they try and charge, I’ve now read several reviews of the hotel pushing charges and extras.* there is a small sign in the room in Spanish that states if there is another person staying over they will have to charge for the extra person. After looking at the breakfast offered I decided not to eat at the hotel.
The atmosphere is retro. Very old fashioned. Staff is kind.
During my stay, the coffee shop wasn't working. And the staff didn't fix some power plugs in my room.
Location, breakfast, large room. Views from the windows. Silence. Good breakfast. It's very old high class hotel that never saw any upgrade.
Check in and check out takes really long time. Receptionist tried to charge for a coca cola from the room fridge, but when i told her that i've read complaints about it on booking she agreed that i didn't drink anything.
Great location
Super outdated. Check in shouldn’t have taken that long. Same with checkout…only one person doing checkout when it was busy.
poor very poor
old, smelly, staff rude
Excelent locationAffordable priceCleanliness of the room
The air conditioner wasn't working wellThe shower box had some spikes that could have hurt meThe hot water was not stableThe shower box didn't keep the water from splitting to the bathroom floor
Good location close to a market and the central park.
Almost no English spoken. Hot water not always available and WiFi not too good.
The staff was not related to the word politeness. The last day, they made me wait because they had to verify I hadn't consumed any of the drinks they offer in the room. I understood that, but they way they treated me was bad.
Nothing!
Even with COVID measures the blankets were not clean, found many long hairs on the bed. They changed my room and what was the surprise only the TV electric socket works to charge the phone. The manager was extremely rude! Behind my bed rest table was full uncovered electric cables. They want to see themselves has a retro hotel but in reality it is an old hotel that was not renovated. Also there is no Spa!
location in the city was good.
breakfast was the worst. Moldy bread, dangerous coffee pots. Booked for 3 nights but ended up leaving on the second day because this hotel is so horrible. Rooms were dirty and the hotel was in a bad state overall and very outdated. Really recommend to not stay in this hotel if you visit Cochabamba.
The location is the best part of this property.
Receptionist. Mediocre Breakfast. Cash only. Outdated.
the position
mould in the bathroom, old dirty carpet in the bedroom. absolutely not according to the pictures with nicely painted walls. Sauna not working but still advertising in Booking.com with it.
Nice vintage place in a good central part of Cochabamba.
The staff were incredibly kind, in particular the man on reception who offered to go to the pharmacy in the middle of the night for us when my partner was unwell. I am so sorry I didn’t catch your name but thank you! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were warm but had new AC systems for summer months. The hotel was clean and in a very central place (right beside the beautiful Plaza 14 de Septiembre) which made it easy to move around and get food at any time of the day.
The breakfast was a little lacklustre compared to other 4/5 star hotels but it was sufficient anyway. They had the essentials such as coffee, cereal, fruit, some breads and cheese/ham slices.
Very historic place with lots of patina, feels like living inside a museum. Ceiling has cracks and even some cement was coming down in the bathroom, which adds to the historic feel of the place. Equipment is a show, looks like luxurious technology from the early 70ties, some of the stuff is even working. Old light bulbs used, even the WiFi uses a historic security method (WEP). Friendly staff, good breakfast, all that in the very center of Cochabamba.Best of all: the great view from over the city which is just timeless.
The TV was a flat screen, a tube TV would match the style of the room better.
