Pros +
- The pool area and beach access are fantastic. The hotel location is excellent.
- Great location, immaculate rooms, fabulous breakfast, and kind and helpful staff. Located right on the promenade - pleasant walking path and lots of tasty food trucks nearby.
- price as advertised
Cons -
- The family rooms were outdated and not very clean. The wifi did not reach our room. The safe and the room phone did not work.
- Name of hotel is confusing! As here you call it Panamerica but cabbies etc. only recognize Hotel Arica as the sign indicates on the hotel itself. Batch tube floor extremely slippery.
- Not much, but we live in Australia, so equivalent places in Oz may not appear as run down. For example, the cracked tiles at the front entrance and driveway, and things that were rusty, which look dirty.

On the beach front, clean, and services for holiday makers.Breakfast included and a restaurant and bar that was open when we wanted.

The location was great, right by the ocean and next to two good beaches. It’s a pleasant short walk to town along the promenade. Our room was large with a direct sea view and terrace.
A convention or party was held every night which meant we sometimes felt like bystanders at someone else’s social event.
El hotel es lindo
Que no habia el sificiente staff para la atencion y en mi habitacion no funcionaba el ac
The room is spacious and clean. Breakfast was very nice and the view is beautiful.
I would have liked easy access to purified water
Excellent breakfast with lots of choice.Pool was a welcome change, but was very cold in the morning!
The room key was hard to use...
The food was excellent always fresh delicious Chilean food
You don’t have turkey breast or chicken breast to make a sandwich
Great Location, good complementary breakfast available.Safe parking lot, guard available.Comfortable, clean beds.Great view from swimming pool area, private easy access to local beach.Good quality hand liquid soap an body wash provided. Not noisy portable air condition unit in room , greatly appreciated.
At the first room assigned door didn't locked .. I asked to change room. Staff offered to fix door, but I decided to get a better roomHotel safe deposit box in room not available to use unless I call the front desk. It should be ready to use upon arrival.Bathroom bathtub and shower without safety anti-slippery material of any kind on bottom surface.I used to be a local, this time I booked with American passport and international credit card, it will be nice to inform on the web site, that the IVA tax discount ( almost 20%) is available only if I entered the country as a foreigner, since front desk clerk asked for PDI document.
The room was very big and quite comfortable.
Breakfast was a huge disappointment, the restaurant was packed and they were constantly out of food and beverages. They were obviously overbooked and had may events happening at the same time.
Staff were great, key staff spoke English. Good breakfast buffet, pool etc perfect.
Buildings are a bit tired
Good sea view from the room. Good staff - friendly, helpful and polite. Property clean and in good working order if a bit tired. Attractive scenic areas in bar and restaurant for breakfast and drinks. Good scenic location within 1/2 hours walk of town and a nice Sandy beach.
Fences around pools prevented direct access to the beach and spoilt the views. Fences were necessary for security as a couple of homeless people in tents were on other side of fence for the duration of our stay. Multiple broken tiles around the infinity pool and property ‘tired’ in general.
Very clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent location (close to beach and a short walk from the centre).
The hotel seems to host lots of private events/functions. More than once, we felt that the communal areas (pool area and bar) were off limits to hotel guests due to an ongoing private event. This was very inconvenient as the pool is definitely a draw card (the nearby beach is OK, not amazing). One of the nights we're were there, the loud music from the event (live DJ) continued until midnight, which was disruptive and, I felt, pretty disrespectful of hotel guests. Finally, while room service is apparently available (it appears as a service the hotel offers in their description), we could find no information about it during our stay, and so we couldn't take advantage of the full hotel experience.
Breakfast was good buffet I found everything I like to eat. The view was fantastic.
The price you pay for night is kind of expensive
breakfast was ok compared to other hotels.
the bar played music so loud that it resembled a club. having my room overlooking the bar was a nightmare. I called the front desk to complain every night and even went there in person. the staff couldn't care less.
its location is fantasticproperty is old but well maintained
no xomplementry water or cafe o tea in room
Great location
no hot water for 3/5 nights and no interest by the staff to get it fixed asap, a very run down hotel that has already seen it’s best years 20 years ago
The location was great, right at the beach, which was suitable for swimming. The room was nice, had a great view, and the staff was friendly. Good breakfast and a good restaurant. Free and safe parking. I highly recommend it.
Excellent location. Nice and clean even though it looks old. Mattresses could be replaced….. a bit worn
The mattress was a bit worn out
