Hotel New Tsuruta

Well located, close to train station. Breakfast included. Big spacious room for four people. Very comfortable.

Needs new carpeting and paint in common areas. Looking quite aged.

Great location - near to the shopping malls (YouMe, Tokiwa and Don Qujote), Beppu Tower and Beppu Kitahama Bus Stop.I only stayed here for one night after 3-nights at Daiiti Hotel. They gave me a nice Japanese style room (403) with the sea front view, which I highly appreciated. There's a public onsen on the L6, which I also enjoyed and was not crowded at all when I visited. My stay deal also came with the free breakfast. The breakfast offered was a buffet style with many choices of Western and Japanese. It was really good ?

Except for the cleanliness of the lift (particularly the one next to the Reception Counter), everything is just good to me.

Was noisy from inside the hotel. Could hear everyone moving around in the morning. Plus side, did not sleep past my alarm! Would recommend using the offered earlier plugs.

Facility is a short walk towards the beach from Beppu Station. Breakfast was ample and sufficient. Lar room had tatami floors and make-your-own futon bed, seating area facing the marina and sea. Recommended restaurants and bars close by.

Need to refurbish the buildings

The new Tsuruta hotel was located very conveniently in he heart of Beppu close to the historical bathhouse. The room, despite being slightly dated, was a comfortable tatami room with a great view over the bay. The bathroom appeared to have been renovated recently. For the price of around 10.000 yen per night for two people, breakfast and free parking were included, which is rare at this price point! The Onsen was nice and not too small and had an outdoor pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. As a foreigner I felt very accommodated at breakfast, where all descriptions where in English as well and allergens for all dishes were displayed. As someone with allergies, this is a rare and very pleasant sight! Overall, great value for money and amazing service. Can fully recommend

Location is strategic

The hotel is refurbishing building. Interior building seems to be mold.

The ryokan style room was exactly what I was looking for as a getaway, so spacious for one person. I was really impressed with the bathroom, looked newly renovated, I almost wish I used it but I went to the onsen every night - amazing!

I think the listing could have been clearer about the onsen, what amenities are provided. I assume there is generally a kaiseki option at ryokans but I didn't see this listed clearly on your listing or inside the venue so I didn't book this - I'm still not sure if this was an option but wish this was clearer.

The location is good and appreciate the carpark. Really save our day. The breakfast was delicious and has a variety of food choices.

can be rather old and dusty at some spot in the room. But it is fine, it was a very decent Japanese-style living experience.

Spa(sauna) facilities was so amazing.Japanese style room in this hotel is more huge rather than other beppu hotels. Breakfast is delicious.

Slightly cramped toilet, and futon maybe a tiny bit uncomfortable for an averagely heavy foreigner like me
