HOTEL MYSTAYS Oita

Room smelled of body odor. We requested another room immediately, which was ok. Chose to stay another night but had to relocate due to different rate. This room’s bathroom also had persistent foul odor, unclean toilet, unemptied waste bin.

Nice hotel room with everything you need. Quiet and comfortable. Nice staff. Location is also good. 15 min from Oita station and there's a lot of konbinis and shopping streets around.

The hotel location is good as it is near to a shopping street and many restaurants. The breakfast is nice too.

The hotel parking was full so we had to park nearby.

Staff were so incredibly helpful with parking and recommending restaurants in the area. Facilities were clean and washroom was sufficient. Beautiful lobby as well, and breakfast looked delicious.

Nice amenities with a great view from the penthouse room. The car stacker was a new experience which I enjoyed too

A double room with one double bed was a bit cramped for 3 people however

The room was comfortable and good size. Had good sleep.The staff was polite & helpful. When asked for extra pillows, provided within 10 minutes.Love the toiletries.Will recommend family & friends to stay.

Location was a 20-minute walk from JR Oita Station. Would have been difficult if it had been raining. Thankfully, the weather was cool.

Room is tiny , no facilities, only paid carpark available, the staffs hardly speaks english

I stayed at the top floor with a balcony and for two nights i saw cockroaches crawling outside so i was so scared to go out . I took pictures and showed to the staff. I really dont understand why there’s cockroaches on the too floor balcony

The hotel is situated in a quiet area, not far from the railway station.

When ordering (if you are European), you need to pay attention to the size of the bed. Two Europeans cannot fit in a double Japanese bed. Also, be careful, the hotel also offers rooms in smoking parterches, which are disgusting and stink.The staff is smiling and trying to help. Unfortunately, their ability to speak English is very limited.The breakfasts appear to be very rich in the pictures. The offer is rich, but quite unusual for a European. The offer is the same every day, so for a week's stay I would definitely choose a different hotel after experience, and that's because of the breakfast.Likewise, the cleanliness and facilities are very below average. The furniture is many decades old and smells. The cleaning is taking place every day, but the dirt still remains.By European standards, this is a maximum average quality hotel.

Great stay! Delicious food, kind staff, and a great location. Close to the station, shops and reaturants. Highly recommended!

Great location

Some dirt and spots on the carpet. The style in the room wasn’t really taking off shoes like most Japanese places.

I am always worried about the parking situation whenever I make a decision to stay anywhere, and I saw there was parking available on-site for this hotel. I was aware that it would be limited, and upon arrival, the lot was already full. But, there was a staff member outside of the lot, that directed us to another accessible lot nearby. He gave us a map and explained the price breakdown based on the duration of our stay, even comparing it to the hotel's own parking fee and it was comprable. I was very pleased and appreciative of his help!!

The carpet was unclean. A garbage was left in sanitary bag at toilet. There is a need for improvement on hygiene level of room service.

The location is very convenient, lots of bus stop nearby, and the breakfast is delicious, with all of the friendly and very kind staff...they accommodate us with warm genuine smile on their faces...amazing place to stay..I will definitely come again...

Nicely soundproofed, bed was comfy and all amenities provided (like in every Mystays Hotel).

The staff‘s English was beyond bad, not one sentence was possible. Very tiny and outdated bathroom (even for Japanese standards).Due to availability we booked a smoking-room and at arrival we asked if we could get a non-smoking one, it was possible with no issue but only with a downgrade in room for which we didnt get a refund, which is a pity.

We really enjoyed how close it was to the station, there are many shops and convenience close by too. We did karaoke near by and it was so much fun!Our best experience with staff too in Japan as we left a bag on a train in Kumamoto and the staff at my stays helped us get it back by translating what it looked like and the time of the train arriving etc. Thank you so much!

sound insulation not great. gap between the bath and wall, so water accumulated there, otherwise very good for the price. We always have a good time at my stays.

This is the second time I stay at this hotel. Of course I like it because the price is easy so I can stay longer to enjoy a holiday in the Oita area. Not only that, but basic needs facilities have also been met as well as easy access to various modes of transportation such as stations, bus stops and restaurants. The staff service is also very friendly, adding to the positive impression of this hotel. and maybe I will still choose this hotel when I visit Oita again, or the hotel branches spread across other areas of Japan to enjoy my next holiday.
