APA Hotel Saga Ekimae Chuo

Near the train station

Air conditioner is unstable. Sometimes warm. Sometimes cold.

It is good base to get to Yoshinogari park, Nagasaki or Fukuoka.They have everything that you would expect from any APA.

Good location and a surprisingly large room for APA standards.

It was very loud with little to no soundproofing. Could hear people in the room next to us and got woken up multiple times by police sirens.

The room is actually pretty new ( there are two buildings, i m on the other walkway side)

We had to change rooms because our bathroom had a problem. The staff were helpful and changed our room straight away.

Loud inside the hotel and even noise coming from the street. Room temperature not controllable. It was too cold or too warm with L, M, C control switch.

Overall a good budget hotel for a short stay. There are many parking spots around - check the prices because they can significantly differ. The hotel parking was full but finding an alternative space was easy (and it turned out to be cheaper). Location is a short walk to Saga station.Room was quite small but fortunately we only had a cabin size luggage. Bathtub looks small but it's actually sufficient for a comfortable shower. Beds and pillows are comfortable.I enjoyed the Japanese style buffet breakfast - it was basic but included rice, miso, side dishes, a piece of fish, fruit etc. There were more items that I didn't try, incl. some Western style food such as croissants, toast and jam. I appreciate that allergens were listed for each item, which is quite rare in Japan!

Bathroom was a bit damp smelling and not easy to ventilate.No natto for breakfast.

The rooms were small, as expected, and nice looking, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was well stocked with amenities, the breakfast was good, and the location was great. They also had BBC TV in English which was fabulous. Bonus feature was that suitcases would fit under the bed!

Nothing in particular

Price, location, and comfortable bed. The hotel accommodated my preference for a quiet room away from the elevator.

Be aware that there are two APA hotels near the station! Check the name and address thoroughly before walking there…

Cheap and clean

Short walk from train stationThe rooms were bigger than stated in description, or it has good feng shui, because we could open two suitcases in the corridor, it had deep space there for keeping it. In other APA hotels I was, rooms were smallerCheap washing machines with detergent

The aircon system is old and basic, just a switch on the wall with 4 settings. The rooms were hellishly hot when we checked in. And it took half a day for the aircon to cool it down.In the second room my friends kept in at max in all times, and still it was just a little bit cooling.This need updating

Exception service at every level. The staff are really helpful! I got put in one of the quieter parts of the hotel which was really nice. Had no problems at all. I had a room with a big bathtub which was really nice.

The coffee and tea is not the greatest, but most hotels more expensive than this also use the same quality beverages. There is a convenience store nearby for those wanting better quality products.Perhaps a multi language check in system would be helpful as it’s difficult to use the katakana sometimes.

Very small room. No fitness, no sauna, nothing besides a room basically.

Not too many selection. I stayed 5 night continuously, the same breakfast really made me tired from the third day. I suggest APA to shop among other competitors and see what can be improved.

Most staff at the front desk won't smile, looked very cold, just like the weather in Saga.The room temperature is un-adjustable, once I turned the switch on, L M H, the heater was too hot, turned off the heater, the room became very cold. The whole night is just like a sauna bath. The A/C heater system is really ridiculous.

My domestic flight was cancelled due to the bad weather.I came across APA which Paolo from Tokyo covered on YouTube and the staff exemplified the same service standard as the Shinjuku branch.

Uncomfortable anyway

Very noisy especially from door. Room making staff is continuously making big noises and talking loudly. Felt very uncomfortable.No breakfast was provided even thouth there is description it is included when reserve. I couldn't realize until entring the room.A bed is so high that it is uncomfortable. Luggage under bed is not good idea.Small room concept is ok but too much. For example a tap is sticking out over the washbasin so very hard to wash my face.Members card has wrong Kana of my name which can't correct anymore therefore the membership couldn't be registered.No chance for 2nd time.

Staff at the front desk is really rude and unhelpful. She didn’t explain things well and she is really impatient when we are trying to figure out things. The room was super super tiny, but it has everything you need and handy enough to grab. Like the charger spot is on the bed board. The bath tub was the cutest one I've ever seen, that it was the smallest tub I have ever seen.

The room was not cleaned well. I had to wipe off dust from desk, and above our beds.
