Novotel Sorocaba

Very helpful staff, the breakfast buffet was quite good and it had a great location across the street from a great mall. It was the perfect landing pad for my brother's wedding that was nearby.

Overall the rooms were quite basic, I would have liked some better lighting - the lights in the room were quite flimsy.

We stayed 10 days and felt at home. The staff was outstanding. The breakfast was amazing! The location was incredible right across from a great mall and near great food and neighborhood.

Maybe because it is all glass and the windows are huge and open out from the bottom, it has a megaphone effect and the street noise is so loud on the 10th floor where we stayed that we could never open the wibdows to get some fresh air. That was a let down but the only issue.

we booked 3 rooms via this site. on arrival dates were wrong on 2 rooms. had to go back to front desk 5 times over 2 days because swipe cards were worthless for opening room or activating elevator. tv busted in 756. purchased breakfast add on via this site and had to argue with front desk both mornings for them to honor it. nice mix of disappointment from both this site and the hotel itself.

If I’d had to name somethjng (because it was really really perfect!), the bar closed a bit early for us, we were there with the band and when we came back from the show, we wanted a last beer. But thats probably not somethjng most people would miss.

Staff entered the room when my daughter cried, which I thought a bit invasive.

Fist visit to Brazil, Sorocaba, pleasant staff, very helpful on reception.spoke very good English too.Restaraunt at breakfast very good selection, fruit, cereal, tea.coffee, juices, bread, toast, hot food, cold meats, cheese, waiter even asked if we would like an omelette, Would definitely stay again as so close to the malls, shopping areas, supermarkets.In the hotel Jon & Uvaron exceptional in the restaraunt, :) ?

Nothing to worry about it. Perfect stay for 1 or a couple of nights. Executive suites are amazing. Room utilities and staff reception are a plus.

It is anoying to give my info again everytime I have to check in. Booking and/or Accor should improve this.

Loved the breakfast

Cleanliness was not great (old soap marks on the shower glass and shoe prints on the floor that weren't ours - we do not like wearing shoes from the outside in our room, and definitely not in bathroom where we have to be barefoot). Comfort: Also, sheets did not fit well on the bed and came off both nights we stayed, exposing the mattress :(

the staffs were rude, the bedroom wasn’t well cleaned, it looked dirty.not all the amenities were available, we had to change the room 2 times.the second time that we moved to another room,a rude staff didn’t ask our opinion and moved us to a king size bed room,even though i have solicited that my room must have a sofa-bed;she didn’t even consider our opinion, I paid $40 reais for this. there were pubic hair in the bathroom, signalizingthe lack of cleanliness.

I was with my wife and kids and the hotel didn't have enough extra blankets for all of us.

Bed linen consisted of only the fitted sheet, no flat sheet above it, comforter going directly on your skin. That did not feel higienic, as it seemed unlikely they replaced the bulky comforter for each new guest.Bed sizes for the same room category are not consistent, I got two rooms with king sized beds for my family, the first one had a real big bed that matched the pictures shown in the Booking App. The other room, same category, had a visibly much smaller bed (quite different from the pics). The staff said that in their system, both rooms were the same and beds should be as well. As I insisted they were different and one much smaler, they agreed to give me another room. However, the bed in the “replacement room” was also of the smaller type, so I gave up and kept the original room with the smaller bed. The staff even gave me free breakfast to compensate for my frustration, they were nice. I concluded that although the staff was trying to be helpful, the root of the problem was that in the NOVOTEL system, they have two different room categories labeled as one, causing this inconsistency that only customer’s that book two rooms, as I did, could eventually notice. Those two points did not contribute for a good customer experience for me.
