Simple clean rooms. Right near the station. Extra pillows were available which I liked because the beds were quite firm.. Good value and lovely staff..

Location is superb

The room was so, so cold. Don't book in Winter.

A full size bath, and an ensuite large enough to roam around in! Most of our other hotels had ensuites that looked like space capsules and which were designed to make use of every micro-millimetre.... so having a shower meant knocking elbows against the basin which, in these modern toilets, is considered suitably-placed overhanging what passes for a bath nowadays. Not fun for an old guy! But the Royal Inn was obviously designed in the sixties or seventies (the bath and toilet were bright GREEN!), and we were grateful for the luxury of enough room to move freely. Sure, the carpet in the hallway looked as if it was as original as the full-size bath, and the hotel, in ultra-modern Japan, is something of an anomaly. Some reviews have taken exception to its unrefurbished age and condition, but we judged that -- after two weeks in the modern-style hotels all over Kansai -- as its major plus... it is already a bit of history!

Very close to the train station and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. A 24 hour 7/11 is just around the corner and the most lovely little yakitori grill is directly across the road.

Beds were rock hard and floors were pretty grubby from wear and tear. This hotel has smoking rooms and the smell does permeate into the hallways.

Literally a stones throw from the train station with a 7/11 around the corner. The lady at reception was very friendly and welcoming during our stay. The room was an OK size, very clean and there was a microwave on one of the floors. Free amenities at reception were a very nice touch.

The rooms are dated and tired looking, but that's simply just aesthetics.

Compared to the old-fashioned western style rooms, the traditional japanese rooms are excellent value wit a lot of space, clean, comfortable and well-conceived. The breakfast is excellent.

The outside carpet is totally worn down and needs renewing but this is but a minor flaw.

I like it right next to the train station and bus station. Restaurants nearby have good food. The staff are very kind to assist. The room has lots of space for luggage to be out of the way. Laundry machines are offered.

I understand that it is a dated hotel and needs a few modernizations. But nothing you really need is just spending your nights there. The only issue for me is the old toilet.

The staffs are welcome. The location is only 5 minutes from the KDDI hall and Shin-Yokohama station.

The WiFi is bad.The carpet is not well clean.

Old, the hotel is in need of a whole renovation. Y gf complained about the hot water, it took a long time. the bed was hard, you could feel the springs, were the springs or something else. I dunno.

The car parking was free and near to the hotelThe bathroom was wide and very nice.The staff was also very helpful.

The television was a little bit small.The toilet has no bidet.

The location is just infront of JR station and there are a lot of restaurants as well as comvenience stores. The room is bigger than your usual hotels that even cost more. I slept well at night and enjoyed the spacious shower and big deep bathtub. You can tell the building is not new but so are the other hotels in general. If you are looking for a place to stay for the night and you won't be spending the whole day in the room of a hotel, then this place is worth it because it costs cheap. The staffs are friendly and accommodating and the food is good enough for the price. I am a simple guest with no great expectations when booking non luxurious hotels and this I can say about the place. It is good enough for me.

I wasn't expecting anything more than the price so I have no complaints since it is okay for me. Only maybe that the parking area designated for the hotel guests need more space.
