Pros +
- The view is great and the architecture is interesting.
- The layout of the hotel buildings scattered on a (albeit very steep) hillside gave it a generous appearance. The architecture of the entire complex is rather striking and a great plus for those who look for top notch contemporary Japanese architecture (after all, it’s a work of Kengo Kuma).Dinner and breakfast were rather average.
- Customer service is on point. The pool and lounge are fabulous. The views are breathtaking. Overall great stay. Big rooms! Nice amentities.
Cons -
- I was really disappointed in the room. While the architecture is neat, the very large room just comes across as empty. The bed was okay, but every other piece of furniture (couch, desk chair) seems designed to be as uncomfortable as possible. The ceiling was incredibly filthy; it was covered in dust, and some black stains that I really hope weren't mold. In one of the sinks, the cold water didn't work. The shower had a hand-held shower head and one attached to the ceiling, and the latter just sprayed water in every direction except down, making it unusable. The staff was friendly, but didn't speak much English, which is unusual for hotel staff. I was okay since I speak some Japanese but if you don't I can imagine this would make things difficult.
- Some corners of my room have seen better days. The steep slope can be quite slippery and isn’t ideal for people with a mobility handicap . The location is beautiful but remote from the lively city atmosphere. Last shuttle was around 7pm (but Uber works).Staff is friendly and helpful but their English skills are amazingly low for a hotel of this price bracket. When calling from the station to get information about the shuttle bus the person in charge of phone calls wasn’t able to understand or form even a simple sentence in English.
- The only thing I could say is that we checked in a few hours early and we weren't able to utilize the amenities until 4pm so we ended up leaving the property to grab something to eat.

The design. The amenities. The restaurants. The sauna and swimming pool andclub lounge. The views. A marvel.
This is an excellent resort style hotel with the level of amenity, comfort and service you would expect from a hotel like this. Having access to the club house with gym, pool and sauna facilities and an outstanding view of Nagasaki harbour was well worth it. The hotel is well set out to ensure the harbour view is accessible to all guests. Staff were helpful and kind; exemplary really.
The location is a bit distant from the city centre, though there is a pretty regular free transfer service available.
bathroom is very nice
sofa in the room was so stiff breakfast ( western style )was not very good
The Staff was so friendly, accommodating and kind. My girlfriend has worked in the hospitality industry and was blown away by the service. Great job! The view was amazing, the food was great and the free inckides club lounge with drinks and snacks and a high class touch. They also have a free shuttle to Nagsasaki JR as a stopping point for exploring the heart of the city. Thanks!
Some of the accommodations showed a little age and wear, but it looked like touches and renovations were done.
This resort makes for a wonderful and relaxing stay. The night view of Nagasaki city is spectacular. The breakfast was amazing and dinner at the Forest restaurant was excellent. It’s a quick drive or taxi ride into Nagasaki city from the hotel, but there is also a shuttle available. One would not regret booking a stay here.
The swimming pool is the best! The city view can be seen in the pool and it felt so chill.
Nothing! Everything is perfect!
