Hotel New Nagasaki

Great location adjoining a mall and very near the train station and trolley station, large room, Nespresso machine in room makes great coffee, welcoming lobby, availability of news channels in English

Great location. Close to shops and restaurants. Tram and bus is just across the hotel. Shinkansen and local train is a 5-10min walk. Breakfast was good too.

Although the room is big and spacious, it is outdated and the bed is a little springy. The bath drain in ours was too slow to drain.

Unlike most of the recent hotels in Japan where there is a hybrid of human interface and machine self checking-in/ checking out type. New Nagasaki however has very much human interaction with their guests from point of entrance. All staffs were smiling and pleasant whenever they see you, and they are helpful and available whenever you want to find out anything. Rooms are of good size too although seems a little old school but comfortable and clean. Right next to or rather behind the hotel is a big mall, Amu Plaza, train station including JR Station. Tram stops is almost in front of the hotel. Diagonally across the road is the bus station (however one can't tell it is a bus station from the outside as the building looks like just any normal office building!). Good to ask the staffs if you are planning to take the bus to another prefecture. The hotel has a side entrance that leads to the mall whilst there is a massive web of pedestrian bridge connecting the mall, train station as well as to tram stops and crossing roads without having much to cross on the road. All said the location of this hotel is very good! Hotel is also along the shuttle route provided by Mt Inasa Ropeway operator. Free shuttle to foothill of Mt Inasa for the Ropeway going up to the top for 360 view of Nagasaki. Check with the reception as to how to book for the free shuttle and its schedule.

Very handy location next to the station. Room was spacious.

The beds were very firm and there were no laundry options other than the pricey laundry service so we had walk 10 mins to the nearest coin laundry dry.

Very comfortable, the rooms are big and the location is the best! I totally recommend, and the Staff are the best, very friendly and SUPER proactive.

Great location, 10 minutes walk to the port and a few minutes walk to the train station. The room is big for what we paid for and well maintained. Although the room was facing the main road, we could not hear the traffic below, it was great for a good night's rest.

Would have been great if there was a shelter built to the next building that will allow travellers to walk to the train station without facing the elements.

Clean, spacious and fully furnished rooms. Parking was easy and convenient. Major shopping mall and train station located just next to the hotel.

Located next to Nagasaki JR train station and streetcars, the department store with many restaurants is right next door.

Optimal location. Though the facilities seemed old, it’s still in pristine condition. Front desk staff were approachable and helpful.
