As a chain hotel, it was broadly consistent with my expectations. The room was clean and comfortable but didn't have any character.

Absolutely nothing
absolutely dirty, house keeping got into my room at 11:00 pm, the lock didn’t worked and safe box either. I’ve spent 2 days and asked for house keeping to properly clean up my room, asked for the lock to be fixed and nothing happened. They don’t even gave me a receipt.
Clean and tidy as you would expect for Ibis
Wine was Shockley expensive, checked in on line but had to do it all over again when arrived.
The supermarket just across the road, very convenient.
I contacted the hotel beforehand to ask of they had luggage storage, they said they did. So I book one night before going to San Pedro and one night when returning to leave our big luggage there. When I checked out the first night they told me they couldn't store the luggage for more than 24hs. When I contacted them.begore hand, that was not informed. They told me they did, and even gave me a price per day per item. I was extremely disappointed. If I go back to this region I'll go directly to San Pedro, much better service overall.
Staff was helpful, decent room, good breakfast, next to jumbo supermarket

We were sleeping at dawn when someone suddenly opened the door and came in. I was so surprised that I went to the reception desk, but I was so sorry to deal with this. I asked the manager to call me, but he was not there now. The staff told me to come back to the reception desk at 5 a.m. to refund the overnight stay, but when I went there, we couldn't communicate and only two staff members kept talking. We couldn't spend any more time because of the flight time, so we couldn't even get a refund and checked out. The last staff member said he would give me a refund within 10 days if I wrote down my credit card, but it's not accurate because we talked to each other using a translator..I'm waiting now.
Good location.
Very small room, too much money for a very small and very bad atention of the people.
Easy check in and out. Free parking in secure area. Helpful staff
convenient location, supermarket and restaurants nearby
Very good location for travelers. Walking distance from bus station and plaza mall. Next o a supermarket with money exchange. Very Pratical. Room with good shower pressure and hot temperature. Air conditioning in good conditions. Cold Drinks available for purchase in the reception desk. The ibis calama and ibis budget are in the same building, although in google maps they show different locations. Taxi to airport 8.000 pesos. (feb 2024)
Shower drain clogged, stained bed sheets, low security. TV was useless, all channels scrambled. Staff not very helpfull to resolve these issues.
Comfortable establishment, good breakfast. Bathroom clean, great shower/warm water/water pressure. Mortal Kombat II arcade game in the “budget” side lobby??!
Room was so small, it made us wonder what the “budget” accommodations were like!
IBIS Calama is generell a good option. Rooms are very clean with comfortable beds and nice shower with hot water. The location is okay and it's walkable from/to the bus terminal and the center with restaurant and markets.
But i had a disappointing experience with the reception staff upon my arrival. I arrived at 6.30pm after a 12 hour bus ride from Bolivia. I had already booked in advance via my booking.com app. I am Genuis Level 3 and for the last 5 years i always made my bookings with my debit MasterCard. But upon my arrival, IBIS refused to accept my debit MasterCard. And I was told if I paid with Chilean pesos there would be an additional 19% tax! The only way to avoid the tax would be to pay cash in US dollars. So what really annoys me is the fact that debit cards are not accepted and the wrong interpretation of the tax law by the reception staff! Bcs it actually says there: "Based on local tax laws, all Chilean citizens and resident foreigners must pay an additional fee (IVA) of 19%." But a resident foreigner is "any person who lives in any foreign country for an uninterrupted period that includes an entire tax year". So this does not apply to my situation as an foreign tourist! All this led to a discussion with the reception staff. I'm German and traveling in Latin America for almost two years, so my Spanish is basic but not good enough to have a discussion about tax laws. So when I asked the front reception staff to please switch to English, they couldn't. Well, that's actually very sad for a company like IBIS, which operates worldwide. The least I can ask for is that the staff at the reception desk speak English!Well luckily i had some US Dollars in cash and could save to pay the tax. !!!Important things like no acceptance of debit cards should communicated in advance and not just upon arrival and the reception staff should interpret the tax laws correctly!!!
Convenient for car drop off & airport.
Booking says free shuttle but it is not free. They use Uber to pick you up from airport.
Very clean and spacious. Nice bathroom, towels provided. Comfortable bed.
Staff could’ve been a bit more enthusiastic.
