Comfortable room, great location and view - enjoyed using the pool and amenities!

No control for the television.

Great location for surfers, nice staff, great coffee from espresso machine, and they gave us a suite even though we booked a superior double room

The hotel seemed a little run-down, the toilet didn't work when we first arrived (though staff promptly fixed it), there was rotten food in the microwave, the gas stove didn't work and the batteries of the remote control didn't work

Location, service, cleanness.

Beautiful pool at the back of the property, the restaurant was full so we were able to sit back there and order/eat. Food was good. Room had a great view of the beach. Friendly staff, needed to use a translator app.

A few things … 1. Our room “might” have been cleaned? The beds seemed OK, but the bathroom trash was NOT emptied (and that’s where the used toilet paper goes!). 2. The bathroom light constantly turned on and off, every few seconds. Tightening the bulb didn’t help. 3. The toilet handle barely worked, and eventually broke off - we had to reach into the tank to pull the chain to flush … 4. We didn’t know breakfast was only available until 10:30. We showed up at 10:25 to be told it was over, and lunch didn’t start until noon. But at least they gave us coffee, bread and jam :-) (we were starving after surfing).

The property had no air-conditioning and no fans and as such the room was very hot. The property also had no screens so if you opened the windows the flys would come in.There was also a lot of spiders in the room which I had to kill.

We really only lacked fan(s) to make this an exceptional stay. We were told that these are to be included in upcoming renovations to the property. The setting is beautiful. The food in the restaurant was very good. The hotel staff were excellent, as were the local people. We truly enjoyed it, and look forward to return visits.

The hotel is right on the beach. You have a balcony overlooking the beach. The restaurant was excellent. The best on the beach. We tryed other places and went back to the hotel restaurant.

Staff was incredible. Location is perfect. We had a suite with a kitchen. Nice to have coffee and refrigerator.

This is a nice three star hotel. Some little things could have been improved, for example, our shower curtain was too short so the bathroom floor was always wet. There was no handle on the bathroom door. No knife anywhere in the kitchen. No big deal for us, but small details

The location is amazing, the pool is nice though we couldn’t use for our last 2 days as I think they were adding chemicals and had a temporary fence around it. The fresh water showers beside the pool were a nice addition not just the pool but after surfing before entering room. The food was a little expensive at restaurant but was very good. Parking for car was secure and next to rooms for easy unloading and reloading bags. Easy access to surf and to view the surf break

Tricky to find entry for car, no fridge of jug in room to make coffee or tea, and was only available at breakfast or you could buy from them

I liked the location and the staff.

The restaurant has only 3 vegetarian options.

Very clean and friendly staff; generous continental breakfast. Great view of the water and sunsets.

Great location, views from top floor, food and staff

The property is being renovated so there was construction happening the entire 3 days we were there. Loud and dusty all 3 days and couldn’t use the pool because of it. No discount offered and it wasn’t disclosed prior to booking. We paid for day passes at the boutique hotel next door and spent most of our time there when not surfing. Think surf/summer camping when booking this. Wouldn’t stay here again.

The location, and more importantly the staff was very nice and keen to help all the time

The rooms didnt have fans so it was very hot during our stay, at night we had to leave the door open in order to create airflow and sleep better. During the day a lot of people were at the pool listening to very loud music and we couldn’t rest our esrly surfing in quiet. (not sure if everyone was staying at the hotel)

All the food at the Avalon restaurant (breakfast, lunch, dinner) was next level good!! And the close proximity to the sand was amazing!!

I liked everything about defines...except the wind, which is obvs not under their control...there was too much wind for my liking...hahaha

The room is confortable, with a very nice sea view.

The hotel is generally worn down. The furniture in the room (seats, table, recliners) needs to be renewed. A new coat of paint is needed overall.The swimming pool was not clean.The restaurant is ok, convenient but really expensive for the quality of the food.

Such a great place with amazing people as staff. Great location and great food.

Everyone working there was very facilitating and polite. Very nice and comfortable rooms! Great location for surfing.

They were doing renovations on the room above ours from early in the morning until 9.30 pm sometimes. There were other empty rooms at the other side of the hotel that they could have offered for our stay, to avoid the constant noise and have a more pleasant stay.
