Ibis Florianopolis

Our check in. It was wondefull.

Great location, the area is safe and beautiful, it is within walking distance to the sea belt, the market, and the bus station. Breakfast was delicious. The room was confortable and had a working table and two chairs. Wi Fi was fast enough.

Fout things we didn’t like much. Of course one knows Ibis are low budget hotels, but it would be nice for managers to check from time to time the shape of things in the room. 1) There are not night stands but a little piece of fake wood that was poorly attached to the wall and I was very afraid to use (I never did). The lamp above was also poorly attached and kept coming off the wall. 2) There were two twins beds (we requested one queen bed), which you can move closer, but that was not comfortable. Also the matresses were really thin and kept falling out of place. 3) The AC system is very old and it has not remote control. 3) The flushing system in the toilet did not work properly.

Location

Lack of face towels in the bathroom, the main reception was blocked by cars delivering goods and when I complained in the reception they said "it is not up to us"

Clean and comfortable hotel. Great location. Helpful staff.

There's no luxury, but the three things I consider essential in a hotel are present: good shower, good bed and clean. In addition, there's a 24h bar, the staff is very friendly, breakfast is good and there is a valet service available if you are driving. It is also a 20-minute drive to the airport.

Was not a problem for me, but this is a downtown hotel. If your plan is to go to any beaches, this is not a good choice.

Amazing hotel. It was written 3 stars hotel in the booking, but it looks like a 5 stars hotel. Amazing staff, wonderful location, in center but very quiet.

I liked everything about the hotel

Nearness to the city itself.

Some of the staff were uninterested in their job, poor service and treatment again guest. Also there is a lack of flexibility among some of the stuff. Bad WIFI in the room. The best WIFI was in the restaurant. The music there, was played loudly. It was 14:00 hours, I asked stuff to turned down volume so I could work, they refused to do this, even thou I was alone in the restaurant. I had to do my job on line, wired with USA connection, whith ongoing high volume music. And nobody was listenning to the music!In addition, there is a bar in the hotel that is open 24 hours, for both guests at hotel and people outside the hotel. On several occasions there where very loud presence at the hotel. On the floor 8, in the corridor late at night, when you need to sleep, we had hard time to do so. Staff were called 1 time to disperse crowds that were making a lot of noise, lower the volume from the TV becouse a drunk guest was watching soocer game from the TV in his room. Alcohol drunk people unfortunatelly.

The place is in a nice neighborhood with cafés and restaurants a few minutes walking. The hotel is new and clean and the staff very nice and helpful. The breakfast is ok.

The rooms are noisy. They have a central air conditioning system that produces a background noise that is quite annoying and does not go away when the air conditioning is shut off in the room. I was on one of the top floors and the noise would certainly disturb my sleep, so I asked to change rooms and I was put in a lower floor and it was better.

Good location, bed was great.

Check-in was not good, wifi was not released to us as visitors so we couldn't pay by PIX, we came from other country so we didn't have mobile internet at the time. The person at the check in was not prepared or in a good mood to help customers which gave us a really bad impression of the place. I would not recommend this hotel.

It's a great location in downtown Florianopolis. The room was very clean and comfortable. I had to leave early in the morning before the breakfast hour, and they could make me a special coffee and snack.

The room was small, and the window was in front of another building, so I couldn't even open my window because of privacy. The bathroom was okay.

I particularly liked the friendly staff, the great breakfast offerings, and the convenient location with easy access to the city center and car parking facilities.

I pay for a good view and no receive the service. When I arrived the Shower door was broken, I have to ask for other room.

the breakfast and especially the coffee is horrible, the bathroom mirror was almost falling apart. there was all day a whining dog in the neighbour room and the staff did not do anything about it.

It was a great room, exactly what you'd expect at Ibis, clean and comfortable. The staff at this hotel were very friendly too

Bad

The room did not have a laptop table. I tried to ask for one at reception, without success. There was a leak in the bathroom.

the pillows, the receptionist got me a lovely room on the 11th floor with a nice view.
