The room needs updates

Location

They put the girl from my team on a “family room” in the ground floor and one of the windows was broken. She was obviously agraif and asked to change room. They alleged they didn’t have and have nothing to do with. It was necessary I involve myself (I am brazilian) asking to cancel the reservation and than they “found” another room. However I paid for a family room (the only one accepted in the checkin) and paid for a 1 person room, not to mention all the stress with the situation.Terrible client experience.

The room was nice and the location was excellent.

The breakfast didn’t have much we liked, except for the fresh beet, carrot orange juice!

The bed wasn’t that great.

- Location: close to the bridge especially to the ones who need to leave the city.- Clean room, good smell of the bed clothes- Staff was friendly and helpful- On-line check-in: fast and avoid lines

- Rooms are a bit outdated, especially the locking systems. Nothing major, but it deserves an investment.- Check-out: if you are there in a rush time, it may take some time to get through it. On-line or speed checkout would help’

Location was fabulous, right besides Beira mar norte, which is nice because you can go grab dinner anywhere within walking distance. The staff was kind and helpful. There's also valet service which you don't see everywhere around there. The lobby was modern, clean and spacious.

The room we stayed in looked more like the janitor's closet, it was moldy and strange. To be fair it did looked like they were trying to renovate the space, but is just looked dirt cheap, rushed and half hearted.

I was not asking for a whole meal preparation. It was only milk. But I guess at night there’s only one staff member for the whole hotel.

Mold on the wall, room had a window but it was fully locked so it had no airflow neither sunshine, poor lighting. Room needs to be renewed

The room is old and stinks a little. The bathroom ceiling liking water. The ac was loud.

The location is close to the continent and easy to get the BR101. I recommend it for people like us that choose Florianopolis as a place to rest and get back to the rod next day.

There was a mistake. I understood the breakfast was included. However it wasn't. Fortunatelly my children were charged half price. Everything else were fine.

The location is undoubtedly the hotel’s biggest asset.

It seems that the system they have in place is outdated, causing unnecessary delays and frustration right at the start of the stay.In conclusion, Castelmar sits in a goldmine location and has the potential to be a highly attractive destination. However, its poor maintenance, lackluster interior, and inefficient administrative processes turn it into just another hole in the wall. This hotel is a classic case of a great missed opportunity. With some much-needed updates and better care, it could truly be a gem.

The staff is unprepared and unpolite. The hotel is old and needs an urgent upgrade

I liked the welcome, the people are very friendly and cool?. The food is delicious ? without forgetting the breakfast it was class congratulations to the team.

what I did not like was that the rain fell during the whole stay, I could not swim in the swimming pool, enjoy the beaches, visit the city well but it was not the fault of the hotel but of nature. What I personally did not like about the hotel is two things. 1- I booked a room with two single beds, they gave a large bed. 2- They did not clean my room during the stay, yet they told me what it would do at 12 p.m. and I leave the room every noon.

Huge room with separate bedroom and balcony.We had a quiet room on the 12th floor with a nice view.Rather quiet but central location.Large bathroom.Clean.Friendly staff.Breakfast ok but only artificial fruit juices.Strong WiFi throughout the hotel.

Very noisy aircon.Bed and pillow were uncomfortable.Worn furniture (for example, the cover of the sofa was torn in several places).
