The Piccadily Hotel Lucknow

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was very good.

The facilities are old. But they have kept up with facilities. We had 3 very comfortable rooms. Food was excellent. Great room service by Shiva, as we preferred to stay in the room for dinner.

The really negative marks are to 1. Spa. They have no clue what steps to be followed in a pedicure or facial. Quite unprofessionally managed by taking phone calls during the treatment. Highly priced with no skills. 2. Had a nightmare of a checkout where the staff don't have their act together and try to blame us for stealing somethings from the rooms. Missing Flasks, we had never seen in the room. Finally, I had to walk out without collecting my receipts from checkout since it was taking them a very long time determining the absence of the missing flasks from the 3 rooms. I hope they have the decency to send my receipts by post. I urge the hotel to have a checklist or a video and get signatures from the customers on what is there in the room before moving in. For a place like Piccadilly, one would expect better professionals in service and better communication at the front desk.

Good facilities, huge king sized bed, they gave additional bed on request. Room service was very fast and prompt. The breakfast spread was very good.

I enjoyed the breakfast and facilities at this site. Its proximity to a subway/metro station makes it easy to get into the busy parts of Lucknow and the airport. I did not eat lunch or dinner here, but I enjoyed their full breakfast buffet every day for a week, and it never disappointed me. The room was also great and spacious. It was cleaned regularly and the staff was always gracious.

The Wi-Fi situation was disappointing at best. With a family, I could not log onto more than one device at a time, which meant either my phone or my wife's phone, or my kid's tablet got Wi-Fi but never all 3. Even when I did have a connection, it felt slower than 3G. I could download videos using my USA T-Mobile sim card faster than Wi-Fi. This lack of connectivity was enough to drop some points in my book for a hotel in this price range and five stars.

Lamb shank ordered in room was awful. Our pleasant stay was ruined by this shoddy meal.

The buffet was ok, not worth the price.

Water accumulated on the bathroom floor after bath, which made it difficult to use. The room floor had lots of shoe marks as if it wasn't clean. Some of the electric points were not working.

Lovely hotel, location and staff. They also packed our breakfast since we had an early morning flight.

The rooms could be upgraded a bit, I think they have started but our room was a little dated.

Arrived late night in Lucknow after long day traveling, and the initial hotel we booked was not meeting our expectations. We had to look for another hotel and wanted to book Holiday Inn, but while very tired from the journey the day, by mistake I booked this hotel as they are very close to each other on the map and both 5 star. Because the booking was confirmed we went here. When I arrived, the place wasn't looking 5 star in any way. It's looks and feels more like 3 star. Perhaps 30 years back, it was at that level. Because of the doubt, I requested to check the rooms first and same thing, old and run down. At the reception I asked if I could cancel my booking at no cost. The person helping me confirmed that if I would request by the platform, they would cancel it without charges. So I requested the cancelation as agreed. This all happened within half an hour, from booking to cancelation. The next day, they told me that they would charge me the whole amount despite our previous agreement to waive charges. Probably, they need the money much harder than I do, and hopefully, they will use that money to invest and fix up this place as it really needs it. We had a very good stay in the Holiday Inn and don't regret that we left from here.

The staff were fantastic. Very kind and attentive. It was very clean in the hotel , the staff work hard to it clean and tidy. The rooms and beds were very comfortable. Slept very well. It was great to have a beauty salon but it would be good to invest more money in that to make it even nicer. The main restaurant was good and there were lots of choices for breakfast. The service was great and so were the staff. If you’re arriving at Lucknow airport, It’s a great place to stay when arriving or leaving as airport is close by.

The punjab restaurant was a bit pricey for us. The food was good but we had perhaps ordered too much. We later ate at the main restaurant (the next evening) and which worked out better in terms of cost for us. Unfortunately the toilet downstairs in the ladies bathroom was over flowing and had flooded the entire ladies rest room. The staff responded as quickly as possible which was good.

Basic facilities like , bathroom slippers were not made available.

Good food, excellent linen, newspapers at your room & real marble use in bathroom and room, which is not possible in now days in even any topmost hotels and their experienced hospitality will satisfied as you needed.

But it’s aging. Need thoughtful renovation considering its past and future. May God bless.

Staff was very old people and they was not modern , rest all ok

The Hotel is a good choice with value for money in terms of accommodation. However, it is just about 5km from airport and they charged me Rs 900 for airport taxi. They claim that it is an outsource service. Still, there should be some rate reasonability. Getting an Uber from Hotel is difficult as it always shows some traffic signal as pick up point.

Hefty charge for airport taxi, I paid Rs 900 for just a 5km drive! Rest, no issues in terms of room, cleanliness, toileteries provided and breakfast.

Reception staff was very very non co oprative. However the kitchen staff was good
