Taj Mahal, Lucknow

It’s a well maintained property with a sense of grandeur. Staff were very courteous.

We needed a thermos for hot water for my mother but they couldn’t provide it after repeatedly asking for it.

Hospitality is top notch, food options were great, and location is good considering lucknow. Diner and Breakfast buffet was well elaborated, and items were tasty. Rooms were nice and clean and were adequate in size with nice garden and pool view.

Since we had our kid with us and there was no kids play area that is one thing missing.

Architecture

Falling apart . Rooms were dirty . Bathroom too small .

All the staff in Reception and Dining Hall were very helpful and delivered warm and true Indian hospitality. Zainub and Fardeen went that extra mile to make our experience memorable. Breakfast time was very tranquil with live flute music played by the lady in the hotel foyer. My wife said the lady who gave massage in the Spa was very experienced and great.

It was a lovely place to have stayed during the winter.

A wedding in the property, which automatically reduces the overall experience when you aren’t staying there to attend the wedding. Also when you aren’t informed about the event in advance while making the reservation or prior to the visit.

Location,ambience,room ,food

We got very sick and the hotel arranged a doctor and for the medication to be delivered.

The pool wasn't heated.A long way from town

The towels were large.

The room and bathroom were too small

I loved the big rooms and ammenities. The staff were super helpful, Ayesha and Shantanu from the helpdesk, our drivers Prince en Tajamul were exceptional. They knew a lot about the history, things to do or see or to eat and they provided us with a lot of tips and knowledge. The hotel itself is gorgeous as well with the staff receiving you warmly, in the morning there is a flutist playing as you get your breakfast and in the evening you can lounge by the pool. It is close enough to everything in Lucknow but also a bit secluded so you can get the rest you need after a long day.

the variety available at breakfast was quite good and location of the property is great

1.) the lady wearing a black coat suit (jacket and trousers) incharge of buffet breakfast was very rude and unhelpful, while the people serving were quite good and helpful.

Everything was fantastic! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always smiling and ready to assist. Whether it was at reception, room service, housekeeping, or in the restaurants, everyone was welcoming and provided excellent hospitality.

Good breakfast and excellent food at Oudhyana restaurant. Lovely grounds with large swimming pool. Very good service in both restaurants

Room was very tired with worn carpets and cupboards. The level of cleanliness was poor with lots of dirty dishes in the corridors and on tables in communal areas. There was noisy music from a wedding going on til midnight and people talking in the corridors all night so difficult to sleep and our complaints were ignored. Apart from in the restaurants, service was poor. I used to think Taj was on a par with Oberoi but we had just come from the Oberoi Amarvilas in Agra which is at outstanding hotel with outstanding service and the Taj Mahal Lucknow was a big let down in comparison.

Very comfortable roomWide selection for breakfastExcellent customer service/hospitality

Passable

Small room. Smelled of cigarettes. No shampoo. 13k for all this

The staff was nice and the place itself is very beautiful.

I did not like how soon they literally close everything.

The Taj Mahal Hotel Lucknow provides a charming blend of historic elegance and modern comfort. The rooms are beautifully appointed, offering a serene retreat with classic decor and thoughtful amenities. The dining experience is exceptional, with a range of delectable options that highlight both local and international cuisine. The attentive and courteous staff ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making your stay truly memorable. With its central location and exceptional service, the Taj Mahal Hotel Lucknow is a standout choice for anyone visiting this vibrant city.

Nothing as such.

Taj in general wonderful hotels to stay in, I ve never get disappointed on staying at taj hotels, incredibly welcoming pure Indian hospitality and staff are always there to help you about anybody you need with a big smile on their face 7/24. Whenever and wherever I am in Taj I feel very welcomed and extremely safe. Unlike other 5 stars hotels staff are not overly acting to get good tip. Also I had 2 diners at the restaurant in hotel called oudhyana, amazing! Still remember their amazing food , big big thank ?? also I think Lucknow is very underestimated city however there are a lot to visit with a deep historical background ! I ll definitely go back to this city and again stay at Taj Mahal ?

Everything was good ?

Taj has it's brand value and this is the sole reason I booked this hotel provided we have many other 5 star hotel options now in the market.

Only reason I am giving low rating is because thermostat was broken & room was extremely cold. We requested at the reception to check the issue, the technician after checking the aircon said there is no issue and the room temperature will automatically be adjusted to normal temperature in an hour or so, but the temperature went from 19 degree to 20 degree only, until morning making it very uncomfortable. Bathroom doors need some maintenance too, they were difficult to open and close.

We loved staying with you , there was a gentleness about your hotel . We want to thank Ayesha and Bhagot at the travel desk for all their help and patience they were incredible!!! We took a driver and car from your hotel his name was Amit , a big thankyou to him as well. Great service everywhere . Would definitely recommend this hotel ?

beautiful grounds, beautiful interior, room was amazing and not too outdated
