    Pros +

    • Hotel is lovely restored colonial building with lots of open spaces to relax. Front desk staff was very helpful. Room was large. Restaurant food to order was good.
    • Fantastic location and beautiful hotel. Staff was very helpful organizing transportation and activities.
    • perfect location. thoughtful and responsive staff. beautiful building

    Cons -

    • Shower drain was clogged and very slow; hotel was unable to fix. Instead of key cards hotel uses key with HUGE key ring that you have to carry around. Restaurant service is very slow. Runnny scrambled eggs at breakfast.
    • Two of the rooms had a strong furniture polish smell. The AC units didn’t work well but the staff was quick to bring an alternate unit up to make sure we were comfortable.
    • the rooms do not have the sunshield and was letting light into the room, i suggest light blocking curtains or blinds so guests can sleep better. the sunlight and the hotel lights affect the brightness of the room. other than that, the staff is so kind and lovely. Loved the chess sets around the compound and the service quality. Rooms are abit small but its worth the price and location

Real old world charm with modern facilities. Excellent location. Great breakfast!

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is amazing. They go above and beyond. Our group of 12 only stayed one night, and the staff made sure that we would be around for breakfast. If we would have had to leave before breakfast began, they were going to make us a breakfast to go! The kids loved the loft area with separate beds.

Two of the rooms had a strong furniture polish smell. The AC units didn’t work well but the staff was quick to bring an alternate unit up to make sure we were comfortable.

The staff was so friendly, thoughtful and attentive, the food was amazing for breakfast. The location was perfect near to the old town and all the attractions.

Great location in historic centre on relativelyflat street which makes walking there easy!

Temperature control is a bit of a challenge. When it’s cold it’s really cold and when it’s really hot the aircon is a bit variable.

    Good location and nice property.

All services are not good. Room AC didn't work, room cleaning, and restaurant services were bad. Food quality was 60%

    10JuanPosted on: 3-25-2025

The staff was friendly, helpful and resourceful. They went beyond our expectations.

I would have liked a variety of pillows for the bed.

Great location, clean accessible room, welcoming front desk, excellent breakfast.

Central location in the historic district. Clean, charming old building.

Charming hotel nicely decorated. The staff was very kind and the breakfasts were delicious!

The rooms face out to the courtyard so one night it was a little noisy. There are no windows looking ouside which didn’t bother me as the courtyard was very open, but did overhear someone complaining about it.

The breakfast was good. Simple and not too tasty.

    They dont have elevator.

Stunning old world villa property giving us a taste of a bygone era. We were given a choice of rooms and what we chose was better than expected. Filtered water recepticles just outside our room to top up drinking water when needed. The meals were good value and waiter service was friendly . We had a very early airport transfer booked through the hotel, and the porter was waiting outside our door to help with luggage when we emerged at 4am. We have stayed in some very expensive hotels around the world, and have never had this level of service anywhere else! Top effort!!

It is an older building and there was a water problem that took a while to fix. Has to happen sometimes.

location wa very good and the staff was good.

the bed was very low and hard. Also, having to put toilet paper in trash is a bit of a nuisance. I understand the reason but odd if you are from the states or Europe.

    8AnnaPosted on: 11-29-2024

    Very friendly and helpful team.

No windows to the street. Two stories room was too warm. But we were offered a different room that was totally OK.

    10HannahPosted on: 11-26-2024

Fantastic hotel in a perfect location. A beautiful colonial building, converted to a charming hotel. The staff were fantastic, especially Roger on reception, who helped us very much. Nice breakfast and the welcome drink was a lovely bonus!

    All was good!

It’s a boutique hotel. Beautiful and full of character. The minute you arrive you feel welcomed and they can’t do enough to make sure you are happy.

Perhaps the restaurant had some hit and Miss issues. I think there is room for improvement.

    9CathyPosted on: 10-9-2024

This property is lovely and in an excellent location, so close to the main square. Our room was huge and comfortable and very quiet. Breakfast was included with lots of great options. The staff throughout the hotel were very service oriented and helpful.

    No elevator.
