    Pros +

    • Very convenient, clean and quiet, the staffs are approachable
    • Breakfast was pretty good. Lots of space in the bathroom. Location is near Taichung main station as well as many other bus stops and attractions. Staffs are friendly. Reception desk opens late.
    • I like how close it is to Taichung Main Station and how clean the rooms are. The staff are also very friendly and the amenities are completeSpecial shout out to Miss Lo for being so helpful as well as the others :)

    Cons -

    • Checkin at 5pm is insane, and I still have to make my own bed. Even when I couldn't checkin earlier, the lounge area has like 1 couch which is hardly welcoming. Room was a little stuffy as AC wasn't on.
    • Nothing to mention
    • - Wifi is slow. I couldn’t even watch clips on Youtube using the Hotel’s wifi.- The male dorm room has a moldy smell.- The light in the dorm room is very dark. The light for each bed is also dark.- The rooftop cafeteria is unavailable for several hours during one day of my stay due to regular maintenance, but the staff did not inform me in advance. I need the place just to sit and eat my own stuff, but the hotel failed to provide the guest just an alternative decent table to eat during this hour. They even suggest me to eat in the locker room with just the sitting bench, no table, which is unprofessional and degrading.- Hotel receptionists are not very friendly and supportive in general, although the issue of attitude is subtle enough to pass and it is still fair compare to the price.

    - Location is very good, super near the Taichung train station.- Toilet has many rooms for specific purposes and therefore no waiting ever happened.- Cafeteria space is large.

    - Wifi is slow. I couldn’t even watch clips on Youtube using the Hotel’s wifi.- The male dorm room has a moldy smell.- The light in the dorm room is very dark. Beds and capsules were a good size and comfortable. Locker was not big but can fit a carry-on.

The washroom and shower facilities seemed generally just not taken care of. Made it off-putting to shower in there.

I knew the staff already,Ive been there so many times every months.. this time I forgot my personal belongings oh wow the staff duty in the morning helped me and gave a key card so I could come inside the room to get my things..it was so amazing ??. Thanks So Much! And I found it.Kiwi hotel is a safest that I have experienced.

Staff was friendly. This place has the ideal toilet/shower area and slipper/shoe separation.

Bedding was visibly worn, outlet was loose, not ideal storage for cramped room

Value for money. The private rooms are actually quite big with a bathtub. I checked out the shared showers too and they are quite clean as well. 3 washers and dryers on the top floor, with plenty of entertainment (board games, consoles, pool table). Service was great too. After getting my room i realised the window was unable to close due to a small opening and they immediately gave me another room (windowless but I prefer it anyway). There is a FANTASTIC breakfast rice ball place a minute walk away.

Location is not great but I think that is the nature of Tai Chung as public transportation is quite limited. However, there is the famous ice cream shop (tourist attraction) about 5 minutes walk away.

Great location walking distance from the station with plenty of convenience shops and restaurants around. It feels more like a hotel as it's very polished. Good amount of showers and toilets and the pods felt really private.

Not super social but depends what you're looking for in a hostel.

    Bed was nice

    1. 5pm for check in is a bit late. 2. The toilet had a bad smell. The next day, I asked the reception about it, but the staff said she wasn’t working yesterday and rarely used the toilet, so she didn’t know. However, as a guest, this isn’t really the answer we were looking for. And another staff member told me there was an issue with the water tower, which they discovered yesterday afternoon and were fixing today—but no notice was given. In the meantime, we had already bathed and brushed without knowing.

Very convenientl location, but I expected that room hotel has 2 twins bed ,but just1 full bed ,and it's a different price... Nohair dryer inside the room.

    Unexpectedly

    Location, Price

The bed was not really clean and there was blood (from mosquitos I assume) on the walls which is not acceptable. Bathrooms could have been cleaner as well.

Walking distance from main station. Comfortable and hygienic rooms.

Stayed in a female only dorm. The design resembled a capsule and was rather spacious with more spaces to place your stuff than usual hostel beds. Also provide very basic breakfast (I would really recommend trying out local taiwanese breakfast outside though)

I'd like to think that my standards for bathroom conditions in hostels are not that high but there was this stench that wouldn't go away in the 6th floor toilets - I believe it's from the sewers? Was honestly quite unbearable.

Everything was nice- staff, breakfast included, community area big, many showers, and kitchen.

We had the triple room and the bed was comfy. The third bed was just a very thin futon mattress so I don't recommend this room for 3 people. Common area has a pool table and games. Very simple breakfast provided for free if you're on a budget and desperate. The hotel is very close to eateries, including a roast pork restaurant a few steps away, and the best mochi shop (the name is Joy way if I remember correctly).

The room has a funny smell, probably from the drain in the bathroom. It would have been unbearable if we closed the window. Luckily the weather was cool during our stay (February) so we left the window open 24/7. The smell still bothered me so I'm glad we only stayed there for a few days. The room was so cheap so can't complain, but I would pay more for a better accommodation.

Staff is friendly and kind, and the place is great for spending a few nights while exploring Taichung. It has a nice lobby for working, gaming, or enjoying coffee. ?

Sometimes, the cleanliness feels a bit lacking, and for some reason, a few toilets are always closed. However, the hostel is packed, so it may not be easy to keep everything clean all the time. ?

It's my first time to experience capsule hotel and they didn't disappoint ?, clean, warm, with locker for backpacks, staffs are nice, clean bathroom / washroom.Free bread/breakfast and coffee in the roof top with nice view.

I got placed at the top bed even though there's a lot of lower bed vacant, it's a bit of a hassle going up and down just to get or do something.

The room had a musty smell. Stayed for 2 nights, had to open door to air it after a long day out.Could see the dust at the bed head and i climbed up to take a look at the aircon vent and shocked to see thick layers of dust there. 1 side of Room wall was original concrete with that area not covered.
