Rafain Palace Hotel & Convention Center

Great service and amenities; the food was delicious with a wide variety. We had a very pleasant stay.

- Room space- Cleanliness - Swimming pools- Breakfast- Staff (especially the cleaning team and team at check-in, despite the long line)

- Long line for check-in- Staff at Mundo Encantado

Amazing pool, comfortable rooms. The meals are excellent.

You have to buy ice. No hot tub. Location is not great. Games room is depressing.

Not the best experience

I think the hotel should have flexibility with the check out. I had requested to check out late and to pay if needed but the staff was rude and just said no completely. We arrive le late just minutes before the restaurant closed and they didn’t want to attend to us, we have to literally beg to prepare something to us since we couldn’t get chance to arrive early enough. No flexibility at all.

Making the reservation there were few options for the amount of children. so at the hotel I had to pay extra because we had 1 more child then was allowed for a room. but young children are not supposed to have to pay, so that was the 1 thing I dislike.

The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was huge and so was the breakfast room. The American bar has some smaller and bigger options for dining. The staff was very friendly and supportive when we had an issue with our first room.

The location is not so great if you don't have a car to get to the old part of the town.

Lot of games for children (but no temperate pool)

Breakfast was bad, only ultraprocessed products.Gym was poorly mantained. No water was offered for passengers: water provided in bedrooms had to be paid and no water source in the gym.

My clothes got stolen from my suitcase that was inside my room while I was away for a day tour .

A little out of the way but totally worth it

I liked the room size and food in general

I didn’t like that almost nobody speaks English and when tried to speak Spanish the result was almost the same.We had a group that was making noise on the pool until midnight and when complained about noise they sent me a guy to fix the noise in my room. They charged my mother in law something that she never had on her final bill. So besides the room comfort and food overall experience was very bad as I think that having 4 stars in a place that lives out of tourism you should at least have basic English and se ce of hospitality

Breakfast was good.

The room wasn’t so clean, mold smell and they put two singles beds together to make a couple one.

Very friendly and helpful staff members. They took extra care to make us feel home.

The staff was very friendly

There was loud music at all times in all areas (breakfast, bar, dinner, pool area). So loud it was sometimes even difficult to talk.We could hear the loud music from our room until late hours so it was impossibleto rest.The facilities are outdated, the hotel is very dark and the ceilings are very low.The garden of the hotel was closed so it reduced the space to almost none.The water of the swimming pool was really cold.

this is called a hotel/convention center but it’s all but this. they should call it: hotel/kids club. the moment we walked in it was completely full of running and screaming kids, there’s a huge kids club area so if you’re looking for that, this is the place to go. checking in took long, the room smelled bad and was uncomfortable, also here in the hallway there were many screaming kids (and they get up very early) food was not good, overall we were just extremely happy to leave this place again.

A bit far from the city center. We had a problem with wifi in our room and they were not able to solve it during our 5 days stay.

The lady at reception when we arrived was very helpful.The breakfast buffet was excellent. The rooms clean if not sparse..no tea or coffee facilities..ie small kettle to get hot water.This is normal in most hotels.The cofre...I had to ask for a key.I think the problem is I was expecting much higher standards for a 4 star Hotel. It is a good Hotel but it could be great.Please accept my comments as constructive not negative.Thank you

On our journey into Foz the sign for Rafrain was broken and looked tired.This gave a poor impression. On arrival the foyer was clean but the swimming pool area was also tired looking and the tables dirty.The breakfast buffet was excellent but the evening meal limited in its selection.Lastly the bill at the end was disorganised.I was honest and communicated all that we had eaten and drunk but others would not be so.It had not been automatically added to our tab.After I had communicated this I was then told it was my fault! No thanks was offered for my honesty. I was not seeking thanks but I was surprised by the arrogance of the staff to pass the blame back on me.I fear your hotel is hemorrhaging money as not everyone would be as honest.Your image needs to updated and your administration checked.
