Chocolate Hotel

The staff was incredible, extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is close, by car, to the downtown and main restaurants. Beautiful view of the city from the hotel and very good breakfast. Good space in the rooms, as well as clean and organized.

Food and cocktails are a bit overpriced.

I was met with a glass of cacao juice and shown all around the hotel including the organic garden and where they dry their own cacao beans. The hotel is full of beautiful detailing and made me so happy to be there.

Stunning view overlooking Itacaré and the sea, rooms are clean and new, the staff was very professional and accommodated our every need. I had a wonderful stay with my wife and spent most of the time in the amazing pool. We always ate at the hotel restaurant because the food was exquisite and refined. I vividly recommend this hotel.

Great setting, extremely central, beautiful views, fantastic pool and the best restaurants in the region !

The hotel is beautifully built on a hill overlooking the town and beaches. It’s just removed enough to be peaceful, but close enough to town that you can quickly drive down or walk, if you don’t mind the steep hill on the way back up. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. The cocoa theme was super fun and made for some delicious cocktails and breakfasts. The pool was also a fantastic place to relax after long, hot days on the beach or hiking. The whole hotel is so wonderfully designed.

The only negative point I would say is the walkability, since there’s a steep hill to get back to the hotel. However, the whole area around Itacaré is very nice to walk in and we enjoyed getting the exercise.

Beautiful hotel and surrounding area, felt like an oasis. Breakfast was very nice and fresh! We didn't mind the walk to the city or beach.

None of the staff speak English. I understand a bit of Portuguese, but it was a bit difficult at times to communicate.Whenever we were at the pool, the staff members would just gather there and talk very loudly, which i find quite unprofessional. Would be good to add more light sources in the bathroom, as it was quite dark.

Communication : staff only speaks Portuguese and no-one was available when checking out which is a bit awkward. But I would recommend the place

The property is amazing, very clean and well located… staff is really friendly, specially Thiago, who was always proactive in assist us in any request or question we had. We really recommend the place, and surely will be back soon to check out our cacau tree we planted near the footvoley court. ☺️

Food and drinks a bit overpriced

Everything since we made de booking, the communication from the hotel is amazing, when we arrive we are served a welcome drink and chocolate, the view from our room is fabulous, the best pressure shower ever, the staff make sure you are felling at home I never will forget that experience.

Nothing at all

Drinks on arrival and absolutely lovely staff throughout. Beautiful location overlooking Itacaré and the Contas River. The restaurant staff were just as lovely, and the food was amazing (the ceviche was the best we've ever had), highly recommend!

The only thing we felt was missing was a mosquito net, as we did get bitten a bit at night. Everything else was perfect ?

The chef and kitchen staff were fantastic. Breakfast was awesome with a great selection of fruit, pastries, cakes and eggs and bacon. Dinner and Lunch were even better. Best food in Itacare (and we spent 2 weeks there)Location was perfect. Close to the buzz and life of the town but just far enough away to relax and chill when you needed. Great view, even saw whales breaching from the restaurant

The property was amazingly designed and represented the very authentic cocoa experience and the deep love the owner has for it. Staff is so helpful to get a taxi at anytime and the service was impeccable.

The Experience provided by the Chocolate Hotel creates lifelong memories. I have travelled to Itacaré each year for a decade and am so pleased to have discovered this sweet gem. It is the new favorite destination for my entire family. The view of the city and ocean are unmatched. The food kept us excited to return each meal and the staff remembered everyone's preferences. The short drive along new roads provides easy access to the picturesque beaches and downtown nightlife. The most surprising part of our trip was that on a rainy day when no one else in Itacaré had anything to do, the Chocolate Hotel arranged an in house chocolate making experience for it's guests. Absolutely saved the day and created another lifelong memory for our family. We look forward to our next experience at the Chocolate Hotel!

Itacaré can be noisy at night, especially during Carnival. However the Chocolate Hotel's location provides a natural barrier and peaceful ambiance.

Amazing resort with breathtaking views of Itacare. Staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The Chocolate Hotel is a unique place that has been built with love for cocoa and for teaching the world about it. An overall experience we will never forget! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bahia.
