Pros +
- This hotel was epic, as the name implies. It’s a very nice large skyscraper building with excellent rooms and amazing, welcoming staff. For the first time ever at a hotel accommodation I had food (even though it was a small meal) waiting for me on my room table when I checked in. The restaurants within the hotel served amazing food and drinks and had great vibes. The lounge/restaurant on the top floor was lovely and had amazing panoramic views of the city. There’s also a pool on the second floor, spa & wellness center on the bottom floor, and more. Breakfast served in the morning was superb!
- The staff are really friendly at check-in and in the breakfast restaurant. The room is comfortable and the bed is decent. Generally speaking, it is a good standard, but could do with an update
- The location and many of the staff - gym and spa
Cons -
- Unfortunately I’m gonna take 1 point off because I thought the airport transport service they offered was way too much. For a 15 minute ride to the Luanda Quatro 4 de Fevereiro international airport they charge $165 USD one way while I found other legitimate drivers on TripAdvisor outside the hotel that provided the same transport for wayyyyy less. I know this hotel caters to the high end individuals but when a 1 hour massage in the Spa at this same luxury hotel cost just half the price that really stood out to me… too much for a 15 minute airport transport.
- Like most things in Luanda, it offers poor value for money with high prices. The staff at the pool bar could be more attentive and quicker when taking orders.
- Food - minibar - some staff need revisiting. The Rooms are relatively well maintained (except for some minor mould in the shower - which was already there during my 2018 visit), that said they are starting to feel dated.

The front desk staff are fantastic! And the location is great and the beds are comfortable. The room is good too, it’s spacious and has space to relax and to work. It’s also lovely how you get little “welcome to Epic Sana” treats. Little touches like that are sk lovely.
Some small things could be improved. For example, don’t have the cleaner try to come into the room 3 times before you check out. And have more than one mug in the room and have better quality cutlery. Provide little milk sachets for your South African (inspired by the British) guests :) so we can have coffee or black tea with milk. It’s not a lot to ask for the price…!
Location and friendly staff.
Very less vegetarian food options
The Staff serving in the Restaurants were really outstanding. They were extremely helpful.
I ordered Room service Breakfast on my last morning as I had to leave at 06h30 for the Airport. Despite 3 confirmations, it never arrived. Not only was this disappointing, but I paid for it.
Nice hotel, nice staff, excellent food, safe place.
The buffet menu was vast quite impressive.
Restaurant area in level 2 and ablushion rooms need a thorough cleaning and hourly maintenance to ensure cleanliness and staff uniform.
Breakfast was Marvelous, OMG , loved it, restaurants, spa treatments was really superb
They dont place charges on room if you didnt leave credit for same, they seem to have a culture of not trusting clients. They should advise client on check in that they should leave credit for using their facilities
Location, restaurant, meal, staffs.
The Air conditioner could be cooler
Lovely facilities and very friendly staff
The room was not worth what we paid for it. Too small for what they charge. There was a light outside the room that was on 24/7 and unless you closed the curtains all the way you had a bright light in your eyes. Not good for business travelers who try to get accustomed to time changes from natural light/waking up naturally.
Excellent location in Luanda, rooms were clean, good wifi connection. Nice rooftop bar and restaurants. Without traffic very fast access to airport.
very pricy. Also, pick up service from the airport USD150 dsnt make any sence
Staff
Price & LocationThe pickup cost was exorbitant at $169. Instead, I opted for a Yango App at the airport, which only charged $3 for a 7-minute ride to the hotel. The pricing for a short 7-minute drive seemed unreasonably high and felt like a form of exploitation.
Amazing hospitality!!Rooftop restaurant is very good with magnificent night views over the city. The pool had a massive screen to watch the wod cup while tanning and swimming !!
Clean, central.
Staff.Nobody speaks English at all. Even the waiters in the restaurant do not speak English, and they are not helpful at all. You pay more than 400 Usd per night and deserve a better approach. TV at my roon was so old, even remote control buttons had some issues.
The rooms were fairly nice and clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
The breakfast was mediocre and the posted cost of transport seemed outrageously over priced.
Breakfast was good. The staff were very friendly. Nice pool bar outside of the food and drink prices.
The hotel's transfer rate is extortion; $170 one-way airport transfer (2.2miles); $500 half-day and $1000 full day rental fee. The location is poor; not much entertainment or restaurant options close by. Reliable taxis are difficult to find.
This hotel is well-located in the heart of the city center. The views are lovely. The hotel is immaculate. It is expensive but they gave us a tremendous value by upgrading our room. I have never seen staff so friendly and kind. They are attentive without being intrusive, willing to do anything to make us comfortable and safe. The restaurants and breakfast are very nice. I hope I will have the opportunity to stay here again.
It was perfect.
The food and the services have really improved from The time I stayed there last.
The showers need to be improved and the toilets need upgraded.
Great but the AC DIDNT WORK WELL, 1120. Love it will stay again
