Pros +
- The location is great for walking around the city. The best places we found to eat were Oliver Brown for breakfast and Los Electronica for the famous Tucuman milanesa sandwich. The rooms had hot water for showers!
- The staff was wonderful! Service was the kindest, most considerate, and helpful compared to many of the places I've stayed, and we travel a lot. I appreciate the willingness to accommodate us and kindly respond to our requests.
- The location. And the helpful staff. Upon checking in, I was allocated a room that had a very noisy air conditioning system. The receptionist was very obliging and gave me a choice of three other rooms from which I selected one and moved to with no additional cost. The breakfast room was friendly (I met a couple of Argentinians and had conversations) and the breakfast offer ok to get me going for the day.
Cons -
- The Hotel is old school, which gives it charm, but the walls are paper thin. We could hear a plastic bag being opened through the walls. The internet in the rooms was very poor, but worked in the lobby. We parked in the parking garage that the hotel has a deal with. Someone parked in front of us and did not leave the keys.....we had to wait until the rude people just decided to leave the garage. So, if you use the garage, park where no one can block you in.
- I was disappointed that they didn't have an iron or a hair dryer. Must needs for trips.
- The hotel is really tired. Must have been grand in the day. Loved the old elevators with manual double doors. Haven’t seen this kind of elevator in years.

Staff was kind and responsive. Location is outstanding. The adjoining cafe/restaurant provided an excellent free breakfast and good lunches at a fair price.
Upper floors are in need of renovations; rooms (along mop boards) and bathrooms (behind/near the toilet) should be cleaned more carefully; internet routers need to be replaced/updated; air conditioners must be in good working order; some bed linens and bath towels had holes or permanent staining and should be replaced.
Excellent location for the main square, things to do and places to eat. Staff friendly and helpful. Big bed and good-sized room. Breakfast buffet in the on-site restaurant was ok. Great value for money stay
Traffic noise started early - ear plugs a good option!!
Everything what a hotel need. I guess for the standards on those days some parts must be renovated for example heater, tv with netflix, hairdryer (i dont use it but for 3* hotel should be basic). At the end depends on everyones belongings.
Breakfast, central location, outstanding value for price, courtesy late check-out
A bad experience not to repeat ¡
The problem with this hatel was that a sign on the closed door informed clients that it was CERRADO for works. One was instructed to go to Hotel Carlos V near the main square of San Miguel de Tucuman, where indeed all the booking.com information about my stay was available, at a slightly higher price than what I had booked for.Question: why was no advance notice about this situation given ¿
They went to the effort of telephoning me to tell me the hotel would be closed !! Luckily they kept trying as initially I did not answer my phone. I was rebooked to the nearby Carlos V and that went smoothly.
Location
Dirty toilet bowl, toilet seat wouldn’t stay up, tv remote didn’t work, noisy AC
This hotel is exceptional...Check-in was handled speedily. The room was large and super clean.Breakfast was superb-one of the best I've had in a long time.Top marks to Samir,Ignacio,Soledad and all the staff.
The breakfast was quite good. The staff was very friendly.
The way that the shower is set up caused quite a lot of water to end up on the floor. Also, the tub was high off the floor, so getting in and out of the shower would cause problems for someone without good balance.
Staff were excellent. Very accommodating. Rooms cleaned every day. Location central, not noisey. Easy to book excursions via reception.
Wi fi in room was poor. Reception area good. Room not as booked but was resolved.
Overall good.
On our last day the was a power cut. We being offered an alternative room after a little while.
They offer to me a bigger room for the same price. It is highly recommended for a few days stay.
Breakfast is not like a few months ago. But it is fare enough.
