Unexpectedly had to find a place to spend the night in Makhanda at short notice and this hotel did the job for the money spent. Location is excellent. Close to the university, restaurants and the main supermarket complex. I frequently arrange for visitors to the town to stay here and do not feel bad about doing so having experienced it now for myself.

It took an unusually long time for hot water to arrive when I took a shower, but it did arrive eventually. All the cold water wasted while waiting is not ideal in a town with chronic water supply issues. Other than that, you get what you would expect for the budget range involved, even if the decor feels a little vintage for the 2020s.

Beds were very comfy I didn’t even want to wake up . Staff very helpful and kind . Breakfast was wonderful.

A bar is very close by so the music can get a bit much at night.

We went there as a couple but in our room the washing material was for one person, there was no air freshener in the bathroom and sugar sachets for tea were so limited. It's even worse that they put a plastic spoon for us to use when making tea in the room.

There were enough beds for all of us, the rooms are bigger. My girls enjoyed the space. On the room, hubby and I could move freely. He got to relax on the couch as well. I love your hotel

When I ordered mushroom starter at the restaurant below, it was raw, and I ended up cancelling it. Otherwise, the rest of the food was nice.

Bad experience at the Graham Hotel, Makhanda

Dirty blankets and smelly sheets. They took their time to come and assist us to open the sleepercouch. This was really frustrating as we vere very tired. The water from the bathtab was flowing very slow They locked you inside the opposite parking yet they opened for you to come and park your car

The location was convenient and the breakfast was delicious.

Our room was very noisy from the bars ,nightclubs , people standing around their cars drinking and shouting. On Friday night the noise eventually quietened down at around 4:30am.On two occasions one of our bath towels was dirty.

Thanks for a lovely stay - super convenient, the staff were very friendly & helpful, it was clean and comfortable and the room was a good size. We'll definitely be back!

Staff are super friendly and the bar/restaurant is great.

We had a room on the street side and it was incredibly noisy with intoxicated, loud people shouting and singing. Did not get much sleep.

I loved the lication as well as the fact that it had air-conditioning

The door to our room was very thin, could hear everyone walking down the hallway. The windows are also not soundproof. People were outside the entire night and I could hear them, being a lght sleeper.

Every thing was good,clean and comfortable beds

People loitering outside the hotel asking for money, food and pretending to look after your car…a bit unsettling

The close vicinity to the university. It's a walking distance. Friendly staff and clean rooms. From reception, housekeeper and butter. So helpful and friendly. Feels very safe Food was great ...room service ???

The loud music coming from nearby establishment and it goes on all night. Was told they've been trying to get it sorted but it's a struggle...not their fault but it's truly disturbing. Note: I was moved to a much better located room far from noise after I complained. 100%??Towels a little musty and need some fabric softner and proper drying. Bar fridge would've made our stay even greater but we did get ice cubes from the restaurant.

Breakfast was served on time and I was able to check out early for my travelling. The food was good.
