Too little counter space in bathroom

The room was clean and large. Everything was close, when using a "Grab". The breakfast was excellent, everything you could ask for.

Be aware, when you first arrive, the hotel is not visible from the street, you need to walk around behind the apartments facing the street. This not a problem.

The people running the hotel were incredibly nice - their English wasn't great but they called the owner when I needed help booking a car, she spoke perfect English. I didn't know what to expect but felt so safe walking in the area by myself as a woman - and being welcomed by staff as they were preparing meals or doing the washing up outside on the street. Breakfast is probably the most varied we've had in 3 weeks Vietnam (so far) with Phở, eggs (cooked to order), different fruits, dumplings, bacon, sausage, baked goods, you name it. This was our first stay in Vietnam (2 nights) and we found the beds harder than we're used to - but realised now they were softer than in most other hotels. Location couldn't have been better: apparently District 3 is close to everything without being too noisy and too touristy. There are shops, bars, excellent banh mi (and other street food), and a nice park nearby as well as most of the major museums and must-see locations. I would come back here if I stayed in Saigon again.

We found it a bit annoying that we were asked to pay for our stay in cash, but later learned that most hotels seem to prefer that.

The personnel were very kind. Very comfortable rooms and the shower was great! Best location in district 3. Walking distance to the remnant war museum.

The service and the whole staff does a very good job! They really welcome the guests and available for help 24/7

The price of the hotel is way to high. I am sure that you can find other hotels with at least the same comfort for half the price.

Everything! From the room to the staff. Room gets cleaned daily as well as the towels. Great food places around and close to every possible attraction in District 1.

The place is a little bit hidden. It’s behind the 107 apartments in District 3 and you will have to take the small street on the left to get to it, but it’s not a bother. The hotel itself is small but very well maintained. The staff, especially the husband and wife who run the place are very friendly and will assist you on everything you need. They have a cute dog mascot who sometimes walks with you. I transferred here after getting a moldy old room in District 1 and I can’t highlight enough how much I love that decision! Lost money but gained a very good hotel. Very clean and the bathroom and water pressure is great! This is better than some 3 star hotels I’ve had in the US! And the best budget hotel I’ve been so far in my SEA travels. The food itself is a small selection but tasty. Try their pho! It’s better than some restaurant pho I’ve had so far. Definitely recommend!

Good location comfortable modern

No gym

The staff was welcoming and gave us a warm welcome, during the stay, she also was very helpful. Hotel’s location is in the central, convenient for doing everything and going anywhere in just a few mins.

I loved the room with a balcony. Clean, spacious, quiet and cozy. Was nice to be in a fairly central location without noise pollution. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Good breakfast and convenient/quick laundry service.

Some construction in the building but this seems common in the city

My initial reservation fell through at the last minute, so I booked a room at Hoang Lan in the taxi on my way there. Fortunately, the staff was super accommodating, welcoming me warmly and helping me to get settled. I was so impressed with the level of comfort provided. That, combined with the location and overall value, would definitely make me choose Hoang Lan Hotel next time I am in town!

Comfortable bed, sparkly clean, every staff member is nice, good simple breakfast, nice location. This was a perfect place to stay.

Quiet , ample breakfast spread considering how small the breakfast room is . Very homey , loved having the canine company from the owners dog . Beds were very comfy by American standards . Front desk was friendly .

Only negative was finding the place as my taxi was very confused the given address since it’s behind other buildings in tucked away corner of a group of buildings

Excellent location, everything was very clean. The room allowed for the windows to open so air could circulate, and when closed the external noise was completely cancelled.

breakfast was excellent and the staff always smiling and welcoming. it was very warm and i was always asking about ice to cool my drinks down, and they were happy to comply. as i was leaving and the taxi could not find me, the lady at the reception immediately helped out

This hotel is located in District 3, tucked away in a quiet side street. To find it, you walk through a parking area, pass a coffee shop and a massage place, and then you reach the hotel. We really liked that it was a bit hidden because even though there are lots of restaurants and a busy street nearby, the hotel itself was very quiet. That was a big plus for us.The area has many great places to eat, and it is easy to walk to District 1. We also did not hear anything from the neighboring rooms. Maybe we were lucky, or maybe the rooms are well insulated. Either way, it was great.Our room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked very well, and we were happy not to deal with any overheating.Breakfast was simple but tasty. There was fresh fruit, bread, dumplings, eggs, and Pho Bo. If you are not expecting a fancy breakfast, this is more than enough.Some of the staff did not speak English, but they were very friendly and tried their best to help us. We really appreciated that.We would gladly stay here again if we visit Ho Chi Minh City in the future.PS. I took some photos so you can get an idea of how the hotel looks. Just a heads-up, there are some fake hotels out there, and I had a bad experience myself before. So be a little careful and enjoy your trip.

I did not like my pillow. It was a bit too hard for me, but this was just a small issue. I did not complain or ask for a different one, so maybe if I had requested it, they would have given me a new one. Who knows. If you get a hard pillow too, maybe ask for a change and then you can leave your own comment about it and we will find out if they found a solution for it.
