Glenwood City Resort

Very bad experience with the management. They need to be trained to meet up with international standard. The management is not honest. They are in business to get as much money as possible from tourists whom they feel is vulnerable like us.,

They told us the first 6 days we booked was --- and they would concerse to Their money which is 22,000 for 1 dollar we agreed but when they ran my card and charged different rate which is 8 dollars more they told us they went by their rate and the bank

This is my 8th stay at Glenwood City Resort for perhaps 30+ cumulative days of stay.I live in the countryside and routinely commute for work, and aside Thao Dien just being the easiest point of access to my route to/from, Glenwood's just an exceptional deep value play with 4-star quality.Being that it's 4-star quality, most staff are very well trained in their role, but there isn't that impetus to go above and beyond, which is okay.

Pool and gym facilities are still lacking. Breakfast staff at the hotel's restaurant are super, but the breakfast itself isn't well considered - a lot of room for improvement on the food side.

Breakfast is poor.Service at the bar is slow.Got charged twice for items.

Comfortable big room with all the comforts, great staff, and a really good restaurant.

Signage to reach the swimming pool can be improved

I recommend this hotel hands down. So comfortable, warm, friendly staff in both the hotel and restaurant bar area. We loved it and honestly having stayed in two other hotels in Vietnam so far, we miss this lovely friendly hotel so much already!

The rooms were exceptionally clean and well equipped. The location in District 2 is only a short taxi ride to the centre of HCMC. This area feels like a small community with coffee shops and is not so busy.The staff were exceptional not only in the hotel but also the adjoining restaurant.Now as I have stayed here in the past I requested a specific room under ":specific instructions when booking' unfortunately I wasn't allocated the room even tho I booked several weeks in advance. Disappointing but that's how things are, the hotel is a business after all.I happened to mention to Ngoc (house keeper) and the very next day I was in my favourite room. Cam on Ngoc ?The staff here are just amazing.I highly recommend this hotel.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. This is the third time I've stayed here, so they are doing something right.

The room was comfortable, with pleasantly modern decor. Bathroom very good, with great, strong shower, with glass shower door, (separated from the toilet, often not the case). Staff were attentive and helpful. Restaurant was good also and pool was clean and refreshing.

The pool is at the back end of the property, a bit of a walk from the resort rooms which are near the front. Plus several stories of apartment windows around the pool, close by on 2 sides, so not very private. This property is not a hotel. It's a residence apartment.

Very efficient on arrival even though it was quite late.The room clean and had everything we needed,the bed was a bit hard but they always seem to be in Vietnam. It was nice and quiet too.

The location is excellent since there is absolutely everything within walking distance of the property. There is a pharmacy, plenty of restaurants and a grocery store within a 10-15 min walking radius

Bathrooms needs a little bit of thought. For example, In the shower stall there is no ledge or place to keep your shower gel/soap so have to place on the floor which is very inconvenient

The staff were welcoming and the check in process was quick, the room was spacious and AC was working well. The bathroom was clean and lighting all round was good.

There are no elevators, so becomes difficult for senior citizens to climb stairs to the 2nd floor where our room was. The gym and pool are located away from the property, not ideal but I didn't mind it.

Restaurant staff were untrained, which wasn’t not their fault. They tried their best. Plus bad communication. The bar staff were much better trained and helpful

Nice comfortable facilities and rooms. Pleasant place to hang out for breakfast in the morning. Staff all very friendly and completely helpful. If you stay off the main street, it's very quiet.

The room is spacious

Slippers are uncomfortable because they are flip-flops, so I bought slippers.Pillow covers, etc. are not changed every day, and cleaning is simple.Breakfast not buffet style.Mainly Vietnamese food, and opening times vary, such as 6:30 or 6:15.

Room clean and spacious.

Limited choice of breakfast for us so we stuck with eggs every day.

It was a comfortable stay with big beds and the towels and linen were of high quality. The room was spacious for the four of us. The staff were friendly and attentive. Kids enjoyed the koi fish in front of the hotel and smokey pond.

My husband and the kids couldn’t find the pool easily.. so gave up.
