The Staff! They were always happy, helpful and informative. They did everything they could to make my stay as best as possible!

The room was old and dated. No phone. A lot of rust in the bathroom. No real place to put my luggage. The hotel itself was more like 2 1/2 stars. The Staff were the highlight of the stay!

The staff were wonderful. Jenny and other ladies at reception were very helpful and assisted us so much in everything we needed.The room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was freshly cooked.

The staff is very inconsistent and took very little responsibility, empathyfor our concerns or feedback- especially the reception gentleman in the evening. Breakfast menu looks great on paper but more than half of our stay items were over midway into the (short 2 hour) breakfast window. There are only a few rooms and a fixed menu why they can't plan food and distribution is something that kept annoying us.

The room didn’t feel clean, especially bathroom and there was underlying smell in the room despite fragrance smell (too much). The worst part was loud conversation carried out right under our window in the middle of the night until at 3am we finally knocked at the window and noise went away. Laundry service is provided, but after leaving it in the morning we didn’t find our things when came back late in the evening. Had to go and talk to receptionist twice explaining that we would be leaving early in the morning and need our clothes back. It took an hour, but eventually got everything back. Breakfast was provided, but you have to order from the meniu and it takes time to get food. There wasn’t much to choose from either.

Property was clean, in a quieter area of the city.The staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple, but very good. They also provided a free laundry service, which was super nice.I would definitely stay there again.

Nothing not to like it was all good.

The location was good and it was good value for money. The staff were SO helpful and relied on them a few times for help with tours/bookings/translation things. They gifted us all a Vietnamese hat upon our departure.

Breakfast was ok compared to others we had in Vietnam and our room smelt like weird toilet and with no window, it was quite stuffy. We had a floor 1 room right above reception and could hear the mopeds come in and out/hear the street as well. If we opened our blinds to our room then it opened right onto the street/pathway/entrance to reception.

Best of the best: The herbal foot bath basin. That was an exceptional treat on the last night of my stay.

Wish the breakfast was served indoor with AC but I really didn't mind much.

Anny and Alice at reception were efficient and professional at all times, yet incredibly friendly, customer service at its best. The breakfast offering had everything you'd expect from a well-stocked small buffet, which was replenished regularly. The kitchen staff also handled additional breakfast orders with patience and a smile. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely return here on my next visit to Ho Chi Minh City.

As for my single occupancy room, it was a bit on the smaller side, but I wouldn’t complain too much as everything else about my stay was delightful. That said, I did hear from a few other guests that they experienced some plumbing problems in their rooms at the time. Overall, there was little to dislike.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff really made the experience special. Jenny, the night shift cashier, was so kind and welcoming, always greeting me with a smile and making check-in smooth and easy. In the morning, Alice was just as friendly and helpful, making sure everything I needed was taken care of.Breakfast was another highlight of my stay — Tai and Bao prepared such a delicious meal every morning. The food was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented, which made each day start off perfectly.

After two months of traveling, the warmth and care I felt from the moment I booked my stay made all the difference.Anny and Vin went above and beyond to make sure every need was met. It felt like having personal assistants by my side, always attentive, kind, and fluent in English, which can sometimes be a challenge while traveling. The rooms were spotless, the beds comfortable, the showers fantastic, and the entire property was both beautiful and ideally located.But what truly sets Shogun Hotel apart is its people. The kindness, hospitality, and genuine care my family and I experienced made us feel at home. Thank you for such a special stay. If you’re heading to Ho Chi Minh City, this is where you want to be.

People, service, location, cleanliness, rooms, showers. Everything!

Nice and clean. Convenient location. Staff was so helpful. You can even rent bike from them. I even lost my keys and the drive came all the way to my location to drop new keys. It was just amazing service. Specially their receptionist. She was so amazing

The staff (the two girls, Emily was one of them) was very nice and friendly with me. Also the room was very clean.

My bed was individual, but that's not a big deal. I think they should provide better pillows

Hot water didn't work well and breakfast was very limited for the price
