Staff overall friendly Room was good overall

Underneath my bed was filthy (dirty q-tip,dirty sock, etc)

We got a private room. Very good location, staff was very nice. Quiet, Breakfast was good. Good value just be cognizant of what the price you pay and expectations. Room was basic and we just needed a clean place to sleep. At this rate it was good value compared to others in the area.

There is no hot water in the shower, water is lukewarm not an issue for some people just takes a minute to get used to.

Staff and location

Room is very small, it is a hostel not hotel.

The hotel is in the small alley but very clean and spacious inside. A decent breakfast with many choices. The location is 15 to 20 minutes walk to all highlights.

Good location, walkable distance to main attractions in the area. Surprisingly decent international buffet breakfast with a good variety of food

Was advertised as a hotel but turned out to be a hostel, which was a big disappointmentNot that clean unless you are a local and is used to the environment. Air conditioner was barely cooling and thus it was difficult to sleep due to the heat. Came in early to drop ours bags off around 11AM. Our room was apparently ready but the staff wouldn’t let us check-in early unless each person write a 5 star google review, which feels like a scam to me as we haven’t set foot yet. Although the staff was nice, we didn’t like the pressure as the room was resdy anyway.

I had a really great stay at Phan Anh Hotel in Saigon! ? The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city, so it’s easy to walk to the market, major attractions, and plenty of food and coffee spots nearby.The staff are very friendly, helpful, and always smiling, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The rooms are clean and comfortable, whether you choose a private room or dorm. I stayed in a private room and found it very cozy, quiet, and affordable, excellent value for money.Breakfast was included, tasty, and a great start before heading out to explore the city.Overall, Phan Anh Hotel is a perfect choice for budget travelers who want a convenient, clean, and welcoming place to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

The comfortable, cleanness and hospitality

Good location and the hostel organised airport pick up at a cost. Lovely buffet breakfast and good value for money.

Tight space sharing a 6 bed room for our group of 5 but we managed.

Great location and really amazing staff. The breakfast was also good for its price. Plus, there's a market nearby and a lot stores so you can easily buy what you need.

The location and the coffee.

It is a hostel, not a hotel. The breakfast was the same every morning....dry and cold Ramen noodles, cold eggs, waffles, bananas, and a local fruit.

Cleanliness and breakfast is excellent

No proper ventilation, the hostel location is packed inside a narrow street and there is no room for ventilation, only one window ventilation available inside the room. Not good for families but singles/bachelors can prefer to stay.

Clean, great staff and excellent location

Very kind staff, convenient location with a big supermarket and market very close. We booked a tour for Mekong Delta and it was good. Rooms also are convenient and clean

It is an excellent location, on a quiet alley a short distance to Bui Vein and just around the corner from a beautiful market. The owner, Miss Hang, is very nice. Airport pick ups and drop offs were fairly priced and very efficient.

The a/c was just cool enough. The young gentleman who is usually at the front desk during the day has a slight air of indifference.

This is our second time staying at this hostel with my family (kids and grandma). It’s not your typical hostel—no parties, just big tour groups staying for one or two nights and regular travellers of all ages.We love it because the owner is a wonderful woman, and the staff is professional, patient, and kind. The hostel is clean and comfortable, and we especially like the rooms with two double beds. Over the past two years, it has maintained the same high standards, which speaks to the owner’s professionalism.Breakfast is included, and the location is excellent. It’s tucked away in a narrow street, typical of Saigon, and sheltered from the city's noisy main roads—we slept very well. Everything you need is nearby: a fresh market for fruit, a supermarket, plenty of coffee shops, bars, and restaurants. You can easily walk to Binh Tan Market.The hostel can also arrange airport pickup if you're unfamiliar with the area. This is the only place I’ll stay in Saigon—we love this little street filled with caring people. See you next time!

The only downside was some guests leaving their trash behind and being a bit too casual in the lobby—please be mindful and respectful of shared spaces and the hardworking hotel staff.

Stayed here as part of the G Adventures group tour. Firstly the location is perfect! Loads of shops, restaurants and stuff to do nearby. Also within walking distance to the busy areas however you can easily get a taxi if you’d prefer. The owners cooked us a great meal on arrival day as well as let us leave our luggage on the day we checked out. All in all a great place to stay!

Nothing for me personally and if I was travelling to HCMC myself as a solo traveller I’d recommend this place.

I stayed in the dorms one night - clean and comfortable but not great water pressure. The private room was very spacious and clean with great water pressure. It’s a super easy area to walk around in can get a little noisy but overall slept well . Helpful staff !

Wifi did not really reach rooms.

Fantastic Location -close to bus pickups, Central market and Ben Thanh Market,Walking Street, park, restaurants. Down quiet safe laneway. No outside noise. Felt very safe and secure. Family room was very clean, spacious and comfortable for 4 of us. Breakfast was delicious. Staff very helpful, available 24/7. Small fridge in room.

Scandi inspired rooms which were light and airy. Comfortable bed and very clean. Great breakfast. Ideal central location.

Rooms are nice end clean

There was a cockroach in the room and lots of rats outside of the hotel which left really unpleasant feeling
