JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon

Location close to a few clubs.

This is the worst intercontinental I stayed at. Having arrived from the Singapore Intercon, this was a huge disappointment. Super old facilities. Inefficient staff.

the bed was so comfortable

While we didn't eat breakfast there, our dinner was outstanding. The room is huge by Ho Chi Minh standards, and the bathroom is also quite luxurious. Staff are helpful and courteous, and the location is very convenient.

The hotel doesn't have a lobby. The entrance and the way to the check-in counter are through their restaurant, which I found unusual.

The breakfast was very satisfying, and the complimentary coconut water was a nice touch. Housekeeping responded quickly whenever assistance was requested. The room was spacious, comfortable, and had a lovely view. The location was perfect — close to everything. Everyone at the reception was very helpful. I also used the dry-cleaning service, which was efficient and fast.

The only thing I didn’t like was I booked it through a third-party and they didn’t give me any points on my Marriott account

they didn’t tell us we would be confined to the hotel the morning of 30/04. But it turned out for the best.

The standards have dropped considerably since Marriot took over from Intercontinental. Many changes, all for the worse.

In the apartments the kitchen is now completely empty from all utensils. Minibar empty. Choice of restaurants limited. Chinese pretty good, main restaurant a dismal joke.

Our stay at the hotel was excellent and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was lavish and contained both local and international options. The staff was helpful and very responsive to allergies and food preferences (vegetarian food was customisable). The location of the hotel was perfect and right in the heart of District 1. Most historical sights were walking distance or a short taxi ride away.

After 13 days travelling from north to south Vietnam we wanted a hotel that we knew would be comfortable with a bit of luxury for the last four nights of the holiday. Therefore we compromised on a historic building type of hotel and opted for modern comforts. We booked a corner room which was very light and airy and had a view over the swimming pool. The staff were fabulous, always attentive and knowledgeable. Breakfast was amazing with the biggest selection of food we came across in all the different places we stayed in. We used the pool each afternoon after the 34 degree heat of HCMC to cool down a little - pool is a great size. We ate out apart from breakfast at great vegetarian/vegan restaurants nearby - one to definitely recommend is La Moi about 5 minutes walk away. In addition to a lounge/bar the ground floor of the hotel has a small convenience store, Vietnamese fast food outlets and an Italian restaurant which you can charge to the room - we had a great pizza from here. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

Nothing we really enjoyed our stay.

A stellar property. Exceptional staff. Hotel appears brand new. Their italian restaurant had the best food of my entire stay in Vietnam. Superb.

Food in main restaurant extremely poor, the kitchen in the apartments has no cutlery, pans, dishcloths etc., so is perfectly useless, there are no longer menus etc., in the rooms. it is Americanised in the Dumb as Trump fashion.

SWIMMING POOL HAS TO OPEN FROM 6 AM TILL LATE AT NIGHT

We've got a room upgrade to the one with the balcony on the high floor. The service was excellent. All the staff were very kind. Breakfast selections were good, gym was big and well-equipped. We would be happy to go back next time.

We had access to the Executive floor for breakfast. It was very good. Food fresh and well-cycled, drinks choices were varied and interesting. No issues.

We were happy with our stay. It is a well-located hotel with good facilities. We benefited by paying extra for the Exec floor, but the rest of the hotel seemed fine. It is difficult to complain when you have had a more than pleasant stay.

room was extremely disappointing , no black out curtains, bathroom sliding door slides open itself, bathtub leaked, in room temperature much too cold, temperature control not working so eg. setting at 25 but temp keeps at 22 even if set at 27 or higher, room always at 23/22, cold, cold & uncomfortable all the time, had to keep turning the a/c off to let the temp go up then get out of bed to turn on again, & off & on all the time in order to keep the temp. comfortable. Really really upsetting! Shower water temp not consistant, goes v v hot then back to personal setting , suddenly scalding & have to step away then back again. Was not told the pool/sauna etc. facilities under renovation at time of booking, otherwise would not have booked. Closet not lighted from inside as expected based on all modern hotels, door closer not tightened well so doors slam very loudly. Loud music late into the night from the rooftop nightclub made sleep v difficult on Saturday night. Overall extremely disappointed in the low level JW Marriot management seems to have sunk. Never again! Good sleep & gd shower fundamental to any hotel, both failed here.

The location of the hotel is excellent, making it very convenient for exploring the city. The breakfast is both delicious and beautifully presented, offering a great start to the day. The pool area is lovely, providing a relaxing spot to unwind.The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, going above and beyond to assist us with an issue we had with a taxi from an external company. Their professionalism and dedication were much appreciated.The room was comfortable and well-appointed, though it would have been more convenient to have a power outlet near the bedside table.Overall, a great stay with just a minor suggestion for improvement. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at the JW Marriott Residences!! We had a beautifully updated and well laid out king one bedroom apartment with a balcony. Immaculate, spacious and well furnished with utensils, fridge, washer dryer. Bottled water was left by housekeeping every day. We did not have a chance to use the gym or the pool but they both looked very nice. The staff at both the Residences and the Hotel are so helpful and friendly. Buffet breakfast at the Hotel was delicious - with many western and Asian options. High quality food including an amazing coffee bar. Also available was an a la carte breakfast at the restaurant in the Residences building. The two buildings are connected by retail space which included a convenience store, several casual restaurants and a bank. We loved the location. Just a few blocks away from the very busy main streets. It was a relaxing and peaceful place to return to. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend!!

We loved everything about the property.

Buffet breakfast was very good. The standout was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.The executive lounge was also a pleasant experience .

Unfortunately the pool and gym was shut for renovation. This information would have been good at time of booking. They did offer the pool and gym at the Marriott apartments next door, however the facility isn’t is good.
