Staff was great! They even waited for me to arrive at 2am due to a late flight. Then in the morning they insisted that I started on a full breakfast.

The hotel staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Staff were so helpful, so caring and even helped bring our luggage to the car. We booked the room last minute and they were able to accommodate us as soon as possible.

Not a lot of variety of food

The breakfast was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff was excellent.

Rooms were spacious and clean. The AC was amazing after spending a long day in Saigon. Bathrooms were clean and felt new. The staff were so helpful. The location is perfect.

This place is lovely!!!! The staff is amazing, all the ladies working at the hotel are very helpful and friendly. We had a kind of an emergency due to the typhoon which made us change our plans, Riana, Tina and Pona helped us a lot and very quickly, they solved all our problems and made us feel safe and relaxed. They also organised tours that were excellent!! And also, we would like to say thank you the lady in the kitchen that prepared our breakfast every morning (sorry we do not know your name) that was very sweet and nice. The hotel is very well located, walking distance to many great and interesting places to go.

Very clean and comfortable. Great location down an alley off a busy street, so noisy traffic is not a problem. The staff is wonderful—Tina runs the front desk and manages the hotel during the day. She is friendly and professional, and speaks excellent English. Easy to walk to dozens of shops and restaurants. Bui Vien walking street is 10 minute walk. Excellent WiFi. I am staying there again is a few weeks. Highly recommend!

The hotel is in a fantastic location. Surrounded by everything and yet in a reasonably quiet neigbourhood. The hospitality of the receptionists is worth coming back for. They were all very helpful and understanding. The breakfast is also good and gets you ready for the day.

I think the bed was too hard to sleep on comfortably and the pillows could be thicker.

The hotel is right in the middle of everything but off a quiet alley so able to sleep well. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was great, fresh fruit and choice of Vietnamese or American style breakfast made fresh. It felt very safe. Area felt very safe to walk in and locked gate at night. Best was the staff. Tina could not have been nicer or more helpful. Highly recommend! Loved our stay!

I've been a solo traveler for nearly 20 years, and have stayed at a good number of places. This hotel well exceeded what I thought it would be. The location was perfect for my needs as being in an off-the-main-thoroughfare alley, it was quiet and cozy. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. It was clean and well tended to. What really set this apart was one of the hosts named Flower. This was my first time in Vietnam and needless to say I was extremely intimidated coming to a place where the culture was is so vastly different from my own. When I arrived Flower checked me in, then sat with me for no shorter than 20 minutes giving me suggestions about where to go, where to eat, nearby ATMs, how to cross the street, side trips I could take, etc. Besides all that, she taught me basic Vietnamese phrases, and did daily drills with me so I could be comfortable navigating the most basic of words. In the mornings, she asked me how my day was, served me breakfast, looked at my pictures, and just really truly cared. She was like my pwn personal coach. At the end of my stay, she even walked me to the main street to make sure I got in my cab and I was safe. I can only hope that anyone coming to a foreign culture can have someone like her to show the way.Flower, YOU were my lifeline for my entire trip! Because of you, the next two weeks after I left were that much more enjoyable as I felt a level of comfort that I would not have otherwise felt. Solo travel can be lonely and scary, but you made me feel very much at ease and welcome! Cām ón và hėn gǎp lai!

The hotel is well hidden in an alley and is approximately 150m from the street. If you have a lot of luggage, you could inform the hotel, and they will send someone to come for assistance. There are many good restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. The room is clean and the size is adequate. The hostesses are friendly and polite, always eager to help.

The staff were very very helpful even helped me organize tour and responded swiftly to my inquiries. The location is very central and near everything

The breakfast had no normal tea they should provide tea bags. The bathroom drainage design makes bathroom wet when you shower

The staff was amazing! They went above and beyond, even delivering our breakfast and a little cake on my birthday to our room so we could enjoy it on our balcony. The breakfast is simple but the banh mi is delicious and warm! The rooms are not large and the bed could be a little more comfy but extremely clean and all you need if you're out exploring the city all day. At first I didn't like the balcony being so close to the other buildings across the small alley but eventually fell in love with the charm.

I wish we had known that the entrance to the hotel was down a small alley. We had know idea what to do when our driver dropped us off. But eventually fell in love with the charm of the little alley. But be prepared for a short walk down the alley to the hotel.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ben Thanh Retreats Hotel. The location is perfect, close to shopping, restaurants, and attractions, but down a quiet alley so that it is a peaceful oasis in a sometimes chaotic city. The room was very clean and comfortable with electric outlets in all the right places. But the best part of Ben Thanh Retreats Hotel is the staff, especially Jade who made us feel welcome and just like family. Jade, you made our stay one of the most memorable experiences in our month in Vietnam! I highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely return.
