Poppys Hotel Madurai

I had an excellent staying experience at Poppys hotel, since they provide clean room and excellent Breakfast which I enjoyed every day during my stay. They have excellent staff who provide personal care and took care of our needs with immediate attention.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and room was very clean and spacious.

Decent hotel for 1-2 nights stay. Overall Cleanliness, Swimming Pool, Room size, Quality of Food, Covered Parking Space.

Amenities for kids or a small sports room would be good to have for longer stays.

The Breakfast spread. Though the sambar was very diluted.,it was very tasty.

CXheck out and chk in may be made more easily with well trained staff

Almost everything , old not working equipment’s, mosquitos In the room.. cleanliness not up to the mark.

Everything is ok .very good service.all the restaurant staffs are very friendly and very good caring. Front office staff are very friendly.house keeping staffs very helpful.

Please increase the room service. That's no fan in the room and that's alot of mosquito. Can't sleep well .

Room and bathroom was spacious and clean.

Restaurant staffs were not welcoming, and always looks grumpy and not at all helpful. I asked for 2 spoons for my children, and they were not providing on time. Later, they provided unclean spoons, and they didn't even bother to clean even after telling them several times. So, later I had to clean myself. They had several verity of dishes, but food was not up to the mark.

We lost the key accidentally.For fresh key receptionist got 300 rs I think it is not fair For two people 2 keys r must or should be given free We spent 20 k for two rooms including food

The hotel location is good for those having their own transport( about 6 to 8 kms from the main Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple) It will take forever to reach the temple due to traffic. The check in was smooth. The room was Spacious. had a sofa, a work table, Kettle & Coffee and tea effects. There was a mini bar too. The bath room was neat and clean. The wardrobe is spacious and there is a safe deposit locker too. We had dinner of Bisibele bath and Curd rice that tasted good. The next day we had breakfast and the spread was good south Indian, tasted good too. Ample parking space was available.

The Bed linen was very dated and was not fresh. The AC even at 18 degrees was like 27 degrees. we had a sleepless night.

It was a delightful experience overall. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making sure all our needs were met promptly.

Each room should provide with two keys if required. Especially when family stay with kids in more than one room.

Breakfast was good. Staff was good. Hotel staff was active and friendly. Location was good. Travel desk was prompt and useful. Hotel manager Siva was nice.

Property maintenance and housekeeping not at par. Bedsheets were stained and smelly. Front desk can be better. Not a four star property as listed. Definitely a 3 star that can be better. Too much tariff for the amenities and service.

The impression on the very first day of my check in was very bad. The front desk staff tried to con me with my payment. I recall mukesh, kala and others who counted my money several times and took almost double the rate for my accommodation. That was so cheap from a well reputed hotel like this

Decent stay

Food quality is not good, communication problem with staff, they don't communicate in English or Hindi.

Good front desk staff except night front desk guy named Ganesh ( very rude and not willing to help the customer’s basic request . Normal front desk member named Kala was really good and very helpful.. went out of her way to help us .

One of the front end night staff wasn’t helpful. towels are stained and not clean.

It was a bad experience, as the hotel quality is very poor and there was no WiFi in the room or either in the lobby where we had raise the issue to the front office but no action was taken

The hotel environment was very poor and the room were not up to basic standard,family was not comfortable to stay but with no choice it was only one night that we have to tolerate to the stay there

Not professionally managed.Bathrooms are not maintained well.Linen is dirty and old.Smell in the room.Restaurant service is pathetic.
