Hotel Aryaduta Manado

As we had an early morning flight into Manado, the reception was accommodating in allowing us the check in early.The room I had chosen due to the size and view met my expectations. Daily housekeeping diligently replenished new bottled water daily. The location was good as it was close to restaurants, cafes and a Mall.

As soon as you entered the hotel, you could smell the musty air. It became worse along the corridor at level 8 heading to our room No.806. Had to make an effort to hold my breath heading to my room on a daily basis. The bathtub, shower curtain & basin were all stained. What I presume were once white towels, now had a greyish tinge. We encountered a few roaches in the room.The buffet breakfast had a wide spread but taste was lacking. The only saving grace was the live stations for eggs and pancakes. Even the local Tinutuan (Manado Porridge) was gooey and had a weird taste.

All are the best, except the shower is not that hot or worm enough, also need to have some touch up a bit.

I dont have much comment, since I just stay for 1 nigth

Very dirty. They didn't take care of the hotel and facilities.In a span of 24 hrs, I killed 3 cockroaches. Room facilities are old and they don't really take care of it. Gym is also dirty and they don't maintain it very well.

Spacious rooms, good breakfast and has the necessary amenities for a decent stay.

It's an old hotel and feels abit run down, it is facing the main road and is very noisy at night.

The worst hotel in Manado.

The hotel is tired, 25 years of no maintenance at all, the outside of the building, the inside, allways, rooms are dirty, need fresh paint, stink.The breakfast offers a decent variety of local food, almost no international food (besides the egg station), and the coffee and tea are dirty hot water.The staff doesn't have a clue about the meaning of hospitality; it took 2 hours to get the phone in the room working, walking up and down 3 times, and aksed for an urgent item to be laundry, wasting 2.5 hours to then tell sorry it is too late; we cannot assist you anymore.

Room was spacious, quite clean.

The Lobby floor was very hot, no AC.

Breakfast selection was good and bed was comfy

The whole property is just 25 years old, but it looks 250 yo. Some renovation is in order, from walls with peeling paint, stain on walls on corridor, furniture in the room had better days, sometimes 25 years ago

Aryaduta didn't have our booking confirmation and transfer us to another hotel.

Preferences of the bed did not get through (could be a booking.com issue)Breakfast was okay, but not that good.Everything in the room/hotel was old and lots of things were broken.

Walking distance to Megamas and Pirate cafe jetty to Bunaken island. We were served cut fruits upon checkin.

Good location,nice staff.They can clean everyday if you wish. Beautiful view.

Old furniture. Sometimes waiting for lift 10 minutes because too many people and some lift not working.

Comfy rooms with strong AC, tea and coffee in each room. Gym on site is great and very quiet. Staff are very helpful. Hotel has a luxurious feel for the price. Great proximity to Mega Mall for good Grab food delivery options

Buffet breakfast could have more healthy options and was often running out of key items

Booked for 3pax. Only 2 bath towels provided. Requested for missing bath towel. They mentioned the room is meant for 2 towels?! Rigid policy. And we were given wrong room and had to put up with it (lucky it was just a night stay!) Pillows/Pillow sheet reeks of stale smell. Air vent reeks of stale air & cigarette smells (mom coughing non-stop upon entry). Toilet fittings really need a makeover. Leaking pipe from under sink. Not conducive for elderly as no separate shower, only bathtub. Hotel has many events and lift gets crowded. Situated on a one-way road with heavy traffic does not help with centralised city location. Gojek cancelled on us. Do not go for buffet breakfast at 645am-8am. So crowded that topping up of food was slow and hot drinks station provided in papercups!

Room need to be renovated. Everything is outdated. Electric socket comeoff. Lift is very smell like rooten.

Friendly and professional staff, very courteous.

The linen, upholstery and furnishings were very old and worn out. The bed linen especially needs to be renewed.

The hotel is located at a good location. The staff is always friendly and happy to help. The breakfast is good and the Italian restaurant of the hotel serves great (but pricey) food.

The facilities are out-dated and broken, it looks like this hotel has not been renovated since the 1990s. Almost nothing worked properly and things are broken and dirty. Even the bed sheets have stains and holes in them.The swimming pool was disgusting. I don't know what it was, but there were little white flakes of .... something... floating around in the water. Good for taking a quick picture but I would not recommend staying in the water for more than 5 minutes as it's extremely dirty. There was a cockroach walking between the buffet during breakfast serving. The only reason I give this hotel a fair rating is because the price is OK and the room was big with nice sea view. Also, the service of the staff is good. Besides that, the hotel itself is extremely out-dated.
