Novotel Balikpapan Hotel

Room was big and clean. The staff upgraded our room. ?

Lighting not clear.

Food was very good

Rooms very out of date and need mordernisg. No drinking water in room. You have to fill jug in corridor from water dispenser..

very convinient, value for. money, centrally located

Not really 5 star.. the room is a bit old, and we experienced aircond leak.. but they repair it quickly.

Friendly staff and easy to move around

Old facility. Room 631 is located at the “meeting” point of the central air conditioning water piping system causing a dripping sound non stop 24/7! Nothing much the engineering team can do about it.

Bathrooms outdated. Remove baths replace with showers.Breakfast is very ordinary, typical Indonesian Breakfast. Doesn't cater for expat tastes. Like good bread, proper butter, bacon, mushrooms....

Good location, nice staff, the pool was clean and well maintained. The pool belonged to the hotel (the fotos are right about this) There was a huge breakfast buffet

We had a wonderful experience at the hotel. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. If you meet someone with the name like Kadek, Dewi, Iwan, Eka or Jumsia on their badge, be sure that you will get the great service exceptional as well. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Balikpapan.

it’s took forever to get beers to the pool, the price of beers are very expensive, the hotel is now focused on National patrons and has lost its expat attraction for sure. good for Nationals ? not so good for expats ?

plenty of options for breakfast, the hall is spacious, I like the view from my room and I love the pool.the security guy is always polite. i like the surroundings, the laundry service a close to the hotel and malls are nearby.

the staff at the check-in is not welcoming, I saw the welcome drink and she didn't even offer it to us.she didn't mention anything, you need to ask if you need any information otherwise you don't know any information!we bring lots of baggage and she didn't even offer any help.the part of this hotel is always under construction, and you can see that this is an old hotel.

Housekeeping was bad this time. The floor was dirty, cow webs could be seen in the room. Despite request for repairing Aircon it was not done. Room service doesnot believe in responding past 10 pm.

gym facilities quite complete

wifi often disconnected, some channel on the television could not be watched.

Breakfast was good

The Bathtub for 425 has small fracture, still acceptable but it much better if repairedi have my laundry, and i was requested to be completed in the same day, but it didn't meet my expectation since they said it will be finished on the night while i was checking out on that day.they said my clothes will be sent to my home, and hopefully they do it properly

Swimming pool and dinner in the pool area on Friday night.

The Hot tub at the pool area was not working

breakfast is not meeting expectation, surprise the hotel refused to provide invoice after request.
