Ibis Balikpapan Hotel

Excellent location, good wifi conection, spatious and clean room.

Breakfast was always very busy and staff wasn’t so fast in replacing things.

The lobby was clean and updated. The staff were lovely. Breakfast was nice, though on the last day the hot food was cold.

The room was okay, but i noticed mould in areas. The bathroom was old and small, hair dryer didn't work, no fan in bathroom, the tap in bathroom was noisy, water was temperamental. There was no refrigerator in the room. It was advertised there was a pool and gym. Neither at the premises. Had to use facilities at Novotel next door. False advertising! Very disappointed with Ibis.

bathroom wasn’t very clean the whole building is a bit run down. pictures on booking is a bit misleading. swimming pool is in Novotel..

They advertise a swimming pool but did not mention anywhere that the swimming pool is actually located in the next door Novotel and that you have to walk outside, enter the Novotel and go up there (all in your swimwear) to visit the pool.

Check in was rather slow

the breakfast was really good, you have oats, donuts, fruits. the coffee could be better and you can use the pool that was nice.

the mattresses was horrible, i woke up with a lot of pain in my back. the room was dirty with hair everywhere and the bathroom was really dirty, disgusting.

Wifi very poor in the room…hotels MUST have decent wifi these days…reception needs to improve nice staff but reception is the first response a visitor gets…I found hem to be lacking personality and the warm welcoming one should be getting…it was like paying for groceries at woolies or coles….could not get a beer…what hotel does not serve or have beer available…no western food available …yes it’s an Indonesian hotel but this is part of the Ibis group and should have western food available….kids were again an issue…very noisey…yes it’s a parent problem but the Hotel should be more culperable advising parents when they check in to keep proper supervision ver the kids…the hotel is not a nursery

The hotel is near to downtoan,i can easily go to the mall by walking,The receptionist gave us early check in which is very good bcoz we traveled for 7 hours so we need really good rest

Actually there was something wrong with ac when i moved to another room on 4th dayI told the receptionist and they sent someone to repair itBut still the ac not working
