JW Marriott Hotel Surabaya

Everything was very good: staff, breakfast, parking g, room, bathroom...

Excellent service from their friendly staff. Great selection of delicious local food for the breakfast. Great location and there is a shuttle service to the nearby malls. Great gym with jacuzzi and sauna. Clean and spacious room with all the necessary amenities.

Location was very good, near malls and stores. Breakfast and room was superb.

Breakfast was amazing, the service was excellent, and even though it’s one of the oldest properties, it’s very well-maintained. I’d be happy to stay here again next time.

We were a bit surprised when we asked one of the staff where the hotel pool was, but he didn't know. For the JW marriott we would expect the staff to know about the hotel facilities.

Hotel dont care about safety and security.

Hotel staff mess up badly and result in a man coming into my room at 2am. Hotel explain man was guest of my room previous night but since he didn't use it have the room to us without disable his key card thus he is able to open my room door and walk in giving us a massive shock. Staff no serious about security and safety of guest. Awful experience.

The hotel absolute fantastic. Incredibly friendly staff ensuring the comfort for the guest. Room were spotless the staff ensure the room to be always clean.The breakfast was great and quality. Many varities. Service was excellent.The pool, gym and spa were top notch

Spacious. Neat and clean. Good spread of breakfast.

Lack of standards in housekeeping. Missing one bathrobe, no moisturiser, broken shampoo container that could not dispense the shampoo. Tired of calling housekeeping several times and definitely not in the middle of a shower.

Breakfast had many great options. Very tasty, high quality.The behaviour of the staff is just amazing. They treat you like a queen. Because of this kindness and hospitality, I will come back exactly to your hotel.The bathroom is amazing, and the room is spacious, with amazing views of the Surabaya panorama.All the best recommendations. I think it is the best hotel in the whole Java!

service is top notch! All the staff is so attentive and helpful and there is never a "no" when you asked for something. Suite room was spacious and in a good condition. Breakfast was good.

JW Marriott Surabaya is an absolutely beautiful property that boasts many of the best amenities in the city. It is fully self-sufficient with everything you may require within easy reach: not only do you have the usual comforts, like the 6th-floor rooftop pool next to a loveable observation deck and meditation grounds, massage parlour, gym etc.; but also no fewer than five different eateries, each of them a culinary attraction in its own right. We had a very memorable welcome coffee in the lovely bakery downstairs (hi Fera!) and a very enjoyable dinner in the steakhouse, rightfully proud to be the best in Surabaya. In fact, while the city itself is vibrant, colourful and alive, it can also be a bit much at times, and this hotel with its lowkey luxurious rooms, comfy beds and immaculate facilities is just what one needs to recharge. Speaking of recharging, the absolutely mind-blowing breakfast deserves a special mention—I don't think I ever saw a similarly wild choice of different cuisines and mouthwatering dishes served with comparable elegance anywhere else. You could basically disregard everything else I wrote and simply come for the breakfast and you wouldn't be disappointed. Finally, staff here are exceptionally friendly (shoutout to the extraordinary Afdilah who had to tolerate my incessant questioning and helped us throughout our stay) even by Indonesian standards, and that's a hard bar to clear. All in all, it's a place I'd come back to just to stay in the hotel, even though venturing out is a breeze, too—JW Marriott is very well located in the centre of the city and most of the local attractions are within easy reach.
