Shangri-la Hotel Surabaya

Good value for money for Shangri-La level.

Gym is not for 24 hours. Some of public toilet does not have water hose.

It really feels like a 5* hotel. The older building is well compensated by the large size of everything, including the rooms, lobby, and garden. The facility is very clean and the staff’s service was exceptional. The check in and check out was fast, and the requests were accomodated promptly by housekeeping, concierge, and restaurants. SUPER comfortable stay!❤️

We didn’t mind the age of the building, so…nothing.

Service at all times was excellent. Breakfast was excellent and Chinese restaurant I would recommend to everyone.

It is very nice that children stay for free but the beds are too small to sleep with them.

We came for a trekking trip to ijen and bromo and wanted to spend one day to relax and wind down after the adventure holiday.. but didnt realise that the hotel stopped all spa services for ramadan. Also lots of f n b outlets were shut and there was no wine/ alcohol served once again in lieu if of ramadan. I think that This should be declared on all partner booking platforms that such regular and expected facilities in a reputed 5 star will be shut to manage expectations and prevent disappointment.

Had an issue with AC in the room, but it was addressed promptly, it happens. Japanese restaurant on site is sub-par, one of the worst Japanese meals I’ve had in Indonesia (and I’ve had a lot). I understand it’s sub-leased so in no way the hotels responsibility.

Shangrila surabaya is one of my favorite hotel when i visited surabaya, room and facility in good maintain condition, the staff was so helpful and friendly

Great restaurants and a spa. Loved the Christmas decorations too. One little thing I enjoyed was how the TV lit up with calm yet happy music once you step into your room each time; it was super welcoming.

The room is spacious and comfortable. Good sprrad of breakfast.

The executive lounge was super poor and limited. Food of the night and soup of the night was same in breakfastFollowing the night before. Their breakfast especially selection is very limited and drinks as well. I trust its not a big issue but its a very constructive feedback. The service was exceptional as staff

Everything was good, but compared to other luxury hotels in Indonesia the breakfast options were a little light

The food was delicious, rooms were clean and the staff was great.

Location is a bit far from shopping but is close to toll way so access to airport is easy. Was offered an upgrade room, bed is comfortable and room is very spacious.

We were in Surabaya for the Mount Bromo tour and the Shangri-la was the perfect base to relax and recover. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful.
