Bumi Surabaya City Resort

The pool and hot tub were very nice. The room and bathroom were very big and clean. The bed was the most comfortable one that I slept on during our 2 weeks in Indonesia, but it wasn't great.

This hotel does not have an airport shuttle. Please remove that from the list of hotel amenities on your site. There were way too many people working at the hotel. There were 4 people waiting in the lobby at all times just to open the door for guests

first stay at this hotel... breakfast excellent.. staff also... location... view from room and facilities excellent... pool excellent and hot spa/jacuzzi a surprise bonus. value for money... room was very good

staff understanding of western guest could be improved. room service prices for food were exorbitant. I only used this service one time. and menu was limited. some facilities were closed, eg. bar and one restaurant.

They have smoking rooms if you request

A bitt odd on checkin time by 3pm but if you don't confirm your booking that you are coming after 4pm they cancel your booking wich is a bitt tricky

I loved the garden/outdoor dining area, it was a beautiful place to dine everyday. I also loved the outdoor pool and sauna both very relaxing spaces. My room had a nice view of the city and was very spacious which I loved! And the daily breakfast buffets were so delicious!!!

I wish that they provided robes and I also think they could use some fresh wall-to-wall carpeting in the rooms. There were a few obvious stains on the carpet.

It is the best hotel in Surabaya and one of the best in Indonesia, a unique place with wonderful natural amenities, fish ponds, lots of trees and plants. Inside there are countless beautiful things to see, marble, furniture, lamps, paintings and more.

Despite the old-looking facilities, the room is exceptionally clean. The outdoor space for breakfast is also very good. It is also recommended for family, with the big pool, completed with kids pool and hot pool.

Amazing city resort, big comfortable rooms and beds, and nice pool and pool area. Pool is even big enough to do laps (25m). Super friendly staff. Great value for money.

Dirty moquette in the room

The lobby and the overall feel of the hotel. Location is quite good, near to the center. Food quality is decent and the bfast is quite diverse.

I spotted a roach and a bed bug in the bedroom.The buffet bfast is up to 10 am but the staff started rolling up food quite early. At 9:45, the bread station had already been rolled up and the staff did not even offer to help when I complaied about this. I found that to be quite rude.

A very good spread of local foods and drinks, but poor western selection and quality. Bread choices and butter & jam spread were poor with no cheese.

This hotel was very grand in some ways, but had a bit of a sense of “fading grandeur”.The pool was lovely, as was the garden (giving a very zen oasis vibe in otherwise busy Surabaya) and the buffet breakfast was extensive and very tasty.

Cleanliness wasn’t great - our sheets were dirty, and when we asked for them to be changed, they were replaced by similarly dirty sheets. Particularly frustrating given that we paid 300-400k (€15-20) to check in early to our room given that we arrived 2 hours early in Surabaya.

The staff very friendly. Always happy to help.

No Bar. Some of the towels need to be replaced. The spam emails from Bookings.com. Many received before our arrival.

It is my favorite hotel in Surabaya .For the price you paid you get many luxurious. Big room with bathtub. A very good breakfast. Nice swimming pool.

A place from an age of understated luxury. Old glory—but not faded. It has all the amenities and the quality of service you expect from a five star hotel, but without the excess and vulgarity of some of its newer peers. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and the breakfast buffet exceeded expectations. The overwhelming impressions were serenity and comfort—at a very competitive price.

Bumi , what a fabulous hotel with lovely gardens and the swimming pool is great . The food and choice is amazing and the staff are the nicest people you could ever meet , there is not one negative about this place it’s not just a hotel it’s a experience , GREAT, GREAT, GREAT.

Even though the breakfast itself was good, we found it a bit chaotic with all the different stations, needing us to walk all around the area to get stuff. Not a big deal but could be improved.

Being the oldest resort in Surabaya, some facilities are old. At night outside the hotel there’s singing. You may want to ask another room.
