Chose this hotel for the location and the advertised services. The reception staff is nice, but their communication is lacking (especially English). The cleaning staff was rude on several times and doesn't do their job: upon arrival hairs in the tub from previous guests, several times room not properly cleaned and they destroyed my property (phone cable, which was replaced by management).The internet is horrible : 1Mbit/s at best. After complaining we got access to the "VIP" network, which is 3Mbit/s at best, but with really bad coverage. Rooms need serious refurbishing, as they are old. AC is also old and noisy. Needs soundproofing as well: i could hear when my neighbors had "visitors" and the inside cafe echoes like a pool with screaming kids. In the hallway every day at 10 am and pm there is the national anthem played loudly, so that i can hear it in my room.There is no water supplied in the room, there is only one water dispenser in the hall for everyone, so most of the times empty.The pool and fitness room are in another building and seem to be semipublic.So to sum it up: good location (lots of facilities nearby and central in Surabaya) , okay staff. Rest of the stuff: 3 stars at best and WAY overpriced for a business suite.

Breakfast was pretty good. It was very busy because of the holidays, so some items ran out very quickly.

Flooring in bedroom was in bad state, needs replacing.But to be fair for the price of the suite and including buffet breakfast we think it was very good value.

- The airco in the hotel was só low, that we felt cold all the time in our room, even though we had put off our roomairco completely!- I had to pay 25% more for the same (type of) room and facilities than one month ago! Then it was high season (before christmas) and now low season with only a few guests. How can that be explained?

Hospitality from all hotel staff are superb,friendly,quick in action when guest requests, that excellent part.location are good near by mall and lot eatery site.

Bathroom and room not maintenance well although the hotel quite old.

I like everything about my stay in Surabaya Suite hotel. The room was very large and the bed was nice.

A safe would be nice in this 4 star hotel and some outlets.

The swimming pool is not private so there are kids taking lessons around and many people. The gym was old and really dirty.

the room is big, staff super friendly. location is in the centrall of surabaya city.

some of the facility is too old and not working. tv and the remote for example, can't working. have to call the technician which didnt help a lot. no towel and have to call the housekeeping. no sandals, the bathtub water also has problem to clean up.

furniture is old/dated, wouldn't have wanted to sit on the sofa etc but bed is clean and nice which is main thing Skirting boards could do with a hoover as dirty but this is minor

This is one of the worst hotel i have ever stayed. This I would say a 2 star hotel instead of 4 star. I requested a non-smoking room, but I was given a smoking room instead. I went down to the reception and said, you have given me a smoking room and the staff said that all Junior Suites are smoking rooms. This was not mentioned in booking.com when booking the room. I said, "I am not very well and smoking smell is good for me". They brought a Daikin air purifier and let it run to reduce the bad smoking odour. I went to bed early as I was not well. The phone rang at 11.00pm, I took the receiver and left it unhooked. Then, someone knocked at my door after 11.00pm. The staff wanted to take the Air Purifier away, and that annoyed the hell out of me at this time of the day when most people are in bed.Next day morning, I went to check out and told the staff and supervisor what I had to go through last night and also forwarded a whole lot of photos of how dirty the room was and all issues.

Not a lot!!Breakfast was plentiful with a wide selection but the smell of cigarette smoke was very off putting.... unfortunately ?.

as 4 star, this place is far from it...Possibly 2 star. *Be careful when considering this.....The furnishings are all worn out or broken! The carpet & upholstery is disgusting & desperately need replacing. The smell of cigarette smoke lingers throughout the entire hotel. Can't believe that in this day & age that they allow people to smoke inside. Disgusting ?It's also very noisy as groups congregate in the lobby, probably smoking & they get loud which can be heard in the bedrooms even on the 6th floor.When you walk into the lobby you are hit by a blanket of cigarette smoke which is also right next to the restaurant.But heh....if you love smoking then this is the place for you!!They also advertised a lovely looking swimming pool but it's far from that too, & it's far away from the hotel. You have to walk across a road & carpark, it's actually a public swimming pool open to the outside. Also not clean & in need of repair.....very sad ?Breakfast was just o.k, a good selection......they say starts at 06:00 but they were not ready at 0610 & we were told to return at 07:00 if we wanted eggs!!Then when we returned, the gas bottle was empty so they still couldn't cook eggs! WTF ? Unbelievable... really!!
