Old hotel with old equipments, what do you expect?

Location

1. As we enter, the room didnt smell well. I think the bathroom was not being clean properly. Probably they have used an old mop that is not really clean. Overall the bathroom is not being clean. 2. The fridge was filthy. We cant use it. There was water inside it and it looked so dirty. 3. There was no hair dryer.4. We ordered rice with chicken and the chicken was not fresh! We complaint and all we got was an apology, no compensation.Luckily we just stay there for one night. We will not stay in this hotel ever again.

Nothing stood out from what you would expect from 3 star hotel.

Very poor soundproofing: the window in our room would not close properly, as there was a very busy main road outside the traffic noise in the room was very disturbing. The WC was difficult to flush finally failing to flush at all. The tap water was discoloured and had a faint odour. The air conditioning in the restaurant was down on the morning of our check-out and it was very hot and stuffy when we had breakfast. I found the piped music in the restaurant, lobby and lifts was very loud making conversation difficult.

The hotel is close to the shopping area, which can be reached by a 20-minute walk (In general, walking in Surabaya is complex, and you need to watch your steps due to the open sewage systems and the lack of traffic lights). You need a taxi to visit other attractions. The staff is friendly and ready to help. Breakfast is varied (local and continental). Earplugs are suggested for a comfortable sleep.

The location was great. It was good walking distance to shops and restaurants (we love Juu Juu Ramen--a real hidden gem) and it was easy to get around. The room itself was nice and it was always made up clean and comfortable each day. The staff were all great and we really liked the complimentary snacks every few days! The breakfast is amazing and we always looked forward to it each morning!

The staff do a great job of making sure the rooms are clean but the building is showing a bit of age. Other than that, everything was incredible!

It’s run down already, need to update the bed sheets, towels and cleanliness of the rooms.

For breakfast when we stayed, the food that was most delicious and perfect in percentage was the fried noodles, The location of the hotel can still be said to be good enough to reach busy centers, in this case it is quite close to the Tunjungan Plaza shopping center and the last The friendliness of the officers really made a good impression on our family..

In general, the hotel is very well maintained and comfortable to stay at, although there are still some shortcomings such as the hot water not working and the water in the bathroom and closet being slightly colored, as well as the windows not being locked tightly so it could be potentially dangerous because it is on a high floor.

The food, the staff, the ambience... are excellent. But unfortinately, the door of the first room I got, 616, couldn't be locked from outside. So I was moved to room 615. But, the tv there was broken, which was repaired immediately. Overall, those were the only problems.

Breakfast, location

Was assigned room 508 which has no proper noise insulation. Sound could heard all night long because one of the windows have slight openings (esp. sound of the mosque prayer). Luckily we were able to change to room 603 on the 3rd day.

I know they have difficulties because of the pandemic, but it’s so unfair and terrible for me because I got a very dirty room.I contacted the staff at night and the response was very good and fast.However I was too tired and sleepy to move to a different room.I asked them the next morning and they let me move to another room after making me waiting for an hour.
