Criterion Hotel-Motel Rockhampton

Its beautiful heritage, it feels homely the staff are wonderful food fantastic prices loved it and so much entertainment we had a fantastic time close to town walked everywhere if beds fixed we will definitely stay more when we travel to Rocky to visit

The Hotel Bed was horrible springs sticking in put back in Queen bed i can home with a extremely bad back ache it really needs replacing...our only complaint.

A little strange the bathroom was down the hall but it is a very old hotel , I didn’t mind

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly helpful and quick to assist with a minor issue that had been caused by an earlier power outage. The hotel dining options make the stay more pleasurable also.

Very little to complain about. The off street parking for the motel section is very tight. But it is secure.

I liked the fact we were staying in a piece of history. There was a restaurant on site which was convenient since we arrived after dark and had no idea where to go for dinner. The pizza was good that we ordered at the restaurant/pub and a good selection of beers.

A room not so tucked away with a wall as a view. There was no shampoo offered.

On the road parking. Not protected. The room was very simple. Climbing 4 flights of stairs with luggage is not what I expected.

The staff were so helpful and accommodating. This hotel is very central and, even though it is very old (and therefore quirky) the facilities are fantastic, and it is wonderful to stay in a heritage building.

Our room didn't have a kettle, and microwave and no complemtry coffee and tea. But overall the room was nice

The facilities were excellent and the room was good.

The lack of a chair in the room meant that I had to sit on the end of the bed to do anything.

Couldn't get the Aircon to work...but an extra blanket from the cupboard fixed that. :-)

Everything. Gold stars across the board. Special mention to crumbed steak & pie floater. Fancy pants stained glasses windows. 10/10 not creepy chambermaid ghost. Laundry is a bonus.We would go to church if the criterion was the church.

The trek to the top floor was a bit of a strain for an eighty-year-old coot like me, but I survived the exercise.

The old world charm of the hotel. Beautiful outlook from the verdanah.

Room a little tired but served its purpose.

It's an old school pub room, lots of art deco furniture, no frills but clean, safe, central.

Good old fashioned pub.

Surcharge on meals for eating on a public holiday.20% on top of an expensive pub meal in the first place.The surcharge was not notified anywhere in the bar.I do not get charged extra at Bunnings, or Coles, or a servo, or anywhere else that is open on a public holiday.Greedy and money grubbing behaviour by the owners. Shamefull for not putting up a notice so I could avoid it.

Large main room. The toilet was separate to the bathroom. A separate main bedroom and air-conditioning in both sleeping/living areas. Very clean. There are sufficient decent towels. Cutlery, and plates and bowls. Easy access to the restaurant and pub. Wonderful old building with good ambience.

No cooking is allowed in the room, although there is a microwave to reheat food. There is no way to clean dishes, but room service takes care of it every day. Parking can be tight, but there is street parking. No bedside lights for twin beds.

Great location and amazing food and drink at the hotel. Very clean and fresh fluffy towels every day.

Beds were hard, maybe a topper will help.
