    • The hotel was simply spectacular. Beautifully restored. Amazing hospitality. The owner went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay. A special thank you to our helper Hasan who took care of every need we had. I can't thank him enough. Perfect!
    • Kind and helpful staff, beautiful Riad and delicious food!
    • We love how beautiful and name the Riad was on our room was amazing. Except for the shower.

    Cons -

    • None whatsoever.
    • We arranged for a homage and a massage followed by dinner. By the time we were done with the spa treatment, they told us dinner was no longer available. We had to walk 15 minutes to another restaurant they recommended. Not ideal. But we made the most of it
    • Noore staff. Aggressive in pitching a sale, rude and disrespectful. MADE ME Want to leave riad. Human feces on walk. Disgusting and unsanitary

We had a family suite, and our room was gorgeous and very comfortable. The riad is walking distance to the souk and major taxi stands. The staff was also friendly.

Maybe it’s the season, but there were SO MANY flies on the terrace where the breakfast was served.

Unfortunately this place was a real disappointment. We ended up moving to a different hotel, we were not comfortable to stay here. The hotel staff was unprofessional. They informed us upon arrival that they were all sick. The photos online look fantastic, but in person it’s dark, there is black mold in the bathrooms, and it’s generally unpleasant. I called the owner and informed him that we would move to another hotel. He was personally offended when we informed him, we were just trying to be polite! He was extremely unpleasant to talk to. I asked him kindly if he would refund our stay, although I had no expectation that we would agree. He did agree.. but then in the following days did not return our call and did not give any money back. I travel a lot with my wife, and we enjoy all kinds of great hotels around the world, very rarely we get a “we gotta get out of here hotel.” This was that occasion! Knowing the manner of this hotel, I am sure there will be a rambling angry response to my review. Save yourself the trouble….

The riad is incredible, a work of art. The room was very beautiful. The rooftop restaurant for the breaksfast has amazing views.

The room had a bit of a smell and we had to leave all the windows open when arriving. The shower makes a bit of a mess, as it isn’t entirely covered, leaving the bathroom floor really wet.

The Riad Rcif had great hot water supply, and the signage within the Old Town made it easy to find.

It was noticeable that the room had no windows and poor air circulation. The breakfast hours were limited, but the food provided was sufficient.

Extremely beautiful Riad. All the staff were very friendly, welcoming and more than happy to assist with anything you could need. We mainly had interactions with Noor (manager) and Abdul (waiter) both were Awesome!!! There were young men that were very helpful in taking our luggage and helping us guide our way through the Medina to meet our driver.Wish we were there longer to enjoy a Hammam ☺️

We were well aware that we were staying within the Medina. We were warned from our driver that it isn’t safe to wander by ourselves. We did have a guided tour the next day that took us around the Medina. We didn’t feel unsafe but not sure if this was because we were with someone local. So the location could be an issue for some.

Great room, lovely roof terrace with a view, wonderful renovation of the building - a total jewel box! As we had an early morning departure before breakfast, they hotel thoughtfully provided breakfast on the go. Manager, Noor, was ultra responsive via booking.com or WhatsApp, and was accommodating to our needs. The Riad also had a spa/hamam, but we didn’t have enough time to take advantage of it.The restaurant itself had good food and the two staff members at the restaurant were very nice. Sitting up there for an evening meal or a morning breakfast is definitely a highlight!

Location was way inside the southern residential part of the Medina near Place Rcif, and felt far away from any of the streets with commercial activities. One definitely felt isolated, and with all the warnings from staff about getting lost, we didn’t feel safe going out by ourselves. Everyone on staff kept on insisting that the phone gps and google maps didn’t work in Fez, and that we needed to be guided everywhere around Fez. We ended up paying for hotel tour guides on both days we were there. We also ended up eating both our dinners at the hotel.

The breakfast was noteworthy. All ingredients fresh. Even on the day we couldn't make breakfast, the employees sent us on a day trip with breakfast. The property is very clean, and you can tell the management pays close attention to detail in keeping the place nice. Staff was responsive to our needs. The administrator made my wife feel special by providing a small gift as we were leaving.

The administrator needs to be more clear that this property is not reachable by car. Fes Medina is not a navigable grid by any means. You must get out of your taxi, and if you have bags hope that a guy with a hand cart will help you out. Obviously that service isn't free, and it's additionally stressful chasing bags in a push cart through a labyrinth to find the place. The administrator needs to be clear with guests about what a service costs if he is going to help to arrange it. I basically had to empty my wallet to pay a tour guide who took us on a day tour.

The riad is stunning — the craftsmanship is out of this world. I stayed with my wife, two children, and in-laws, and our room for four guests was spacious and comfortable. The pool was a wonderful bonus that the kids loved. Noor, the general manager, was incredibly friendly and gave us excellent recommendations. I also loved the location — just a 5-minute walk from the main road and close to all the major sites. Despite being in the heart of the Fes Medina, it was very quiet, making it the perfect escape from the medina’s energy.

I honestly can't think of many areas to improve, but I had to pick one I would say, the mattresses were on the harder side, which was a bit uncomfortable at times. However, this seems quite common across Morocco, so not a major drawback.

    It’s beautiful.

If you arrive at night I would NOT book it. You have to be escorted into the location bc it’s along several long alleys. This is how the old town is set up and it’s not comfortable. Even leaving on our own was not fun and we required the hotel to escort us out bc it was so confusing. The manager at the hotel also argued w us about our booking with booking.com. He told me I was wrong and I didn’t do something correct abt the amount of bee. He told me to ‘show him’ where I stated I needed two beds (the info was present! And the he told me I was suppose to message the properly separately and tell them. He told me it would cost me more (that wasn’t true ) but I offered to pay more so I wouldn’t need to sleep with my cousin in a double bed. He told me that a double bed was a ‘big bed’ for us to fit in. He told me I did things wrong and I should have some messaged them abt the beds but my booking clearly stated it and 2 times prior to my arrival the hotel reached out to me and never asked me abt the beds. My cousin last her temper at one point and another person stepped in bc it was becoming a heated discussions we just traveled 10 hrs from the desert and waited 45 min for the rooom. We were exhausted. It was very very uncomfortable with him but others made the experience better afterwards and they were very kind. They helped me to fix a train issue and went out of their way. So I am thankful for them and I am happy they helped bc they went over and beyond to be kind. I feel they would have done that even if what happened prior did not occur. But it was a very bad start with a good ending.

It’s an old building from 1320 with a very intricate and colorful decoration style. Our room was not as overwhelming as some of the others from the pictures, so it’s more about taste. There’s a pool and the breakfast area was great with air conditioning and an amazing view. The room and the bathroom were quite big and we had a bathtub. The water temperature and pressure were good.Salim was very pleasant and speaks many languages. He’s the owner there and his presence changes the vibe of the place and the behavior of employees. He also assisted us with returning some goods and getting a refund from a shop. Too bad he wasn’t there more often.Hassan was very pleasant as well, always smiling and trying to help. He also assisted us by carrying some bags to the taxi on our last day.

Noor, the manager, was there to welcome us when we arrived. He called for mint tea and made us fill some forms, which in all other riads and hotels were filled by the staff and not us. There was also no explanation of the hammam and the massages, which felt unprofessional. He comes off as very very intense and, even when trying to help, has a patronizing and aggressive tone which was not pleasant at all. He also scolded loudly one of the employees in the front desk, which is completely inappropriate behavior, let alone in front of guests. In the last day, we asked for help with the taxi to the station and he booked a huge van, which was unnecessary as we were only 2 people and it ended up costing 5x more than a taxi. As others reviews have commented, it might be a cultural issue – but we left with a very bad impression and it affected the whole stay.About the building, the architecture and design can feel overwhelming if it’s not your vibe. It didn’t affect us that much.We had problems with the air conditioning and, even after it got fixed, it was still not as cold as we had hoped. The glass that separates the shower had a gap, which meant that water kept dripping down and making a puddle on the floor when showering. The beds are extremely hard and not comfortable at all. It was also poorly made after cleaning on the second day.The fridge in our room was warm and disconnected from the plug. It was also required to take it completely out of a wardrobe to connect it to the plug on the wall. The front desk was kept unmanned many times, which results in the guest trying to catch an employee or wander around to find them. I had to wait for 15 minutes when asking for something at 9pm. The prices for the restaurant and hammam are quite high. We ended up going elsewhere for hammam and not ordering anything.Had the experience been better, we would have been able to overlook many of the negatives.

Omgosh, this was the most beautiful place, like a museum. Decorative, traditional feel, just stunning. The rooms were amazing and comfortable. Noor and the staff - particularly Ayman- really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They happily escorted us to places when we didn’t know how to get there. They gave gifts to our teens when we left which was a sweet surprise, and they even packed breakfast for us to go when we had an early morning transfer to another city. The food on the rooftop restaurant was delicious and we also used the hammam and got massages which were the best. Such a wonderful experience, a true highlight of our trip.

    Absolutely everything was perfect

Beautiful Riad, richly decorated and comfortable. Food is really delicious. Rooftop is partly open air and partly covered (airco) - and the views are stunning. Staff is helpful and you should definitely hire a guide for your first day (ask for Abdul, he was amazing).

The location requires you to walk through the maze of the Medina which is not a great experience, lots of guys trying to scam you. The Riad will accompany you on request.

    8BosanPosted on: 6-2-2025

The staff at the hotel was very welcoming and made sure to check in on our needs. The building itself is also very beautiful and close to everything you need to see in Fes!

There could have been more cleanliness in the hammam and room.

It is very difficult to find, the personnel was rude. The riad is cluttered with stuff, and looks abandoned(not properly maintained )
