Pros +
- Great staff. Very clean and great location.
- The riad itself is very beautiful! The interior and decor are lovely, and everything is very clean. The location was very convenient. It was within walking distance of the busy areas - we did not need to take a taxi to get anywhere. The room itself was very big and nice; we had our own terrace area with a waterfall! The staff were extremely nice and very wonderful. They helped us a lot with how to navigate Marrakech. The breakfast was also great.
- Beautifully designed, spacious bedroom and bathroom. Lovely atmosphere and the breakfast was divine. Staff were incredibly kind and helpful and never turned down our requests for mint tea!!!
Cons -
- The beds were a bit too hard; we would also have preferred to have a duvet. Our shower also did not drain water very well.
- I don’t think there was anything I didn’t like
- Rooms are a little dark, & some of the finishing / decor is a little aged. But it adds to the character to an otherwise super spot.

A beautiful Riad that has been tastefully designed into a small hotel. Home from home vibe, lovely decor & rooftop, delicious breakfast & in a great spot for access to the medina & surrounding town.
Rooms are a little dark, & some of the finishing / decor is a little aged. But it adds to the character to an otherwise super spot.
Comfort room. Charming staff. Excellent location
The Riad is extremely tastefully decorated and upon entering through the front door one immediately feels at peace. Lehsan and all the staff were so helpful and kind, we were made to feel at ease. Breakfast by the fire was a great way to start our day. The rooftop is stunning especially at sunset- we would take a book there and relax after sightseeing and shopping at the souks. We would stay here again if we are lucky enough to visit Marrakech again.
The doors to rooms do not have locks, this is not a huge issue though.
The riad is AMAZING, location is great! In the medina but not in the noisy area, is relaxing and the staff is very helpful. The heaters SUPER helpful
We love the service, interior design, the terrace, and the breakfast!
It was hard to find the riad. There weren’t clear instructions.
Small, very private riad with beautifully designed rooms with lovely art, and a personal touch from the wonderful staff.
The stylish sense of calm. The dream team staff with great thanks to both Mohamed and Lahcen who consistently go above and beyond. The best gluten free breakfast (and glutenous). The perfect location. I don’t stay anywhere else when in Marrakech.
The main patio and terrace.
The room was cold, very very small toilet.
I was expecting Riad Jaaneman to be good, but not this good! I stayed here for a few days at the very end of 3 weeks travelling around Morocco, and it was the perfect place to reflect on my trip and rest. The location was perfect - the main sights of Marrakech are all in walking distance - and you are in the Medina.Riad J is at the end of a very unassuming alley (Derb Sraghna), and I loved coming back each day and stepping through the unmarked door at the far end, because it's like being in on a secret! As I stepped through that 'secret door', the sense of calmness and stillness was immediate.Every space is generously proportioned, and furnished very tastefully indeed, yet with a very comfortable and restful feel. The rooftop terrace is beautiful, with lots of different spaces – loungers, chairs & tables, and a lovely shaded sitting space with curtains billowing in the breeze. I recommend sitting up there for the sunset call to prayer – it’s a surround-sound experience, coupled with a visual feast of stunning sunsets! I haven’t yet mentioned the staff, but I must, because they create the sense of calm restfulness. They are gentle and kind, and unobtrusive yet readily available to help with anything. Nothing is too much trouble. I felt very well looked after, and both the space and the staff contributed to that feeling. I definitely hope to return again.
Nothing - for me, Riad Jaaneman was perfect.
It is beautiful to look at and comfortable and relaxing. Good location. Close to action yet peacefully away from it. Nice food. Great staff. Roaring fire at breakfast. Art work I liked. Safe. Roof terrace really easy. Good transfer.
Would be helpful to know the transfer/taxi person waiting outside the airport not inside.
So charming and elegant, well appointed while being cozy and homey at the same time. The nearly-secret entrance added intrigue, the song birds flitting through the trees to serenade at sunset and the lovely rooftop patio that was warm even in December, amongst other things, really made this a special place to me.
I have no real complaints, maybe they could add some heating to the common areas for like early morning breakfasts like ours but it really wasn't too bad and didn't detract from the charm at all.
Cute place and next to the spa!
The alley way is a little sketchy… and the bedding was a a little hard for my taste.
Absolutely ideal stay! This riad is perfectly located and decorated - like a secret quiet oasis in the centre of the noisy and crowded Medina. The staff was so kind, welcoming, attentive and helpful: Lahcem and Mohammed (I hope I spell their names correctly) made our days in Marrakesh so nice and comfortable from the moment of our meeting - when the door of our transfer minivan was open unexpectedly at the square next to the King’s Palace and some nice-looking young man took easily our suitcases and accompanied us the the riad - till the last minute when Mohammed accompanied us to our car to the airport on the day of our departure. They provided us with so much useful information and care - unforgettable! It was like we visited our old kind friends, not for a minute we felt ourselves stayed just at a hotel with a big flow of guest.
Excellent service with Mohammad in the day and Lahsen in the night and not to mention the women who work silently in the cuisine and in the rooms.. Lahsen helped me have a lovely last night with dinner in my room candle lit and rose petals on the table .. and in the morning escorted me to my rendezvous with my taxi.. top service and beautiful Riad .. I would love to return!
Beautiful Riad in a perfect location, it's really close to all the best sights in the Medina but also once you're inside it feels so calm and quiet. The staff were all really lovely and helpful. Waking up to the sounds of the birds in the trees every morning was lovely. Nice roof terrace too.
Small little touches were sometimes missing such as towels for the sunbeds on the roof terrace. Our bathroom was looking a little tired and could have done with a bit of paint and a scrub. But these are relatively small things and the overall stay was great.
My mum and I stayed at this very lovely Riad for 5 nights in September. It’s got an old world charm while offering all m
An absolute hidden gem in a wonderful location in the heart of the Medina and close to all the sights. The management and staff could not have been more attentive and made our stay for my 70th birthday very special. Mohammed was extremely welcoming and gave us excellent advice and guidance. Lehced looked after our every need and his attention to detail was outstanding. The food was delicious and the courtyard setting unequalled. Would highly recommend this lovely Riad.
The bathroom could do with updating. More luxurious bedding and pillows would also be an improvement.
