    Pros +

    • Everywhere there was attention to detail, rose petals on our dinner table. Roses are their thing. Always beautiful vases of roses on the table. The staff was just as helpful as they possibly could be. Huge bathroom, nice shower, really great food
    • The morning started with a delicious breakfast, the fresh squeeze orange juice was my favorite. The riad was quiet and relaxing. The staff ( Ali and Mustafa) were extremely helpful and kind. The sunset was beautiful on the terrace. The bathroom was out of a dream. Everything was AMAZING!!! I would highly recommend staying here. Also, the staff is so talented (mustafa is a musician and they both do tours).
    • We loved the staff at the hotel, especially Mustafa and Ali. They were extremely helpful and hospitable. They were super flexible about timing and location of breakfast, and were spot on with all their recommendations within Marrakesh and beyond.

    Cons -

    • We were very happy with our stay
    • There is nothing that I didn’t like, my stay was perfect.
    • The little lane leading to the Riad is not very pleasant to look at. Our room sleeps 4 people on the second floor. It is good looking but not practical: two very tiny chairs can hardly accommodate 4 people let alone comforting. We had to sit on the two narrow beds. No big sofa in the room. The furniture setting is not convenient for placing luggage and cloths. We stayed for 5 nights, by day 3 we were tired of the room. Bathroom is huge with a bit smell of sewer.

The Riad is very nice, with tasteful decors. The location is next to a car- street for easy taxi drop and a taxi stand is around the corner. With 5 min walk, there are plenty shops, a bakery and many eateries- some very elegant ( like M Bacha). Souks are close by. The major attractions are within 10-25 min walk. Staff ( especially Mr. Ali) is very friendly and honest. He is very attentive and helpful. We liked our stay partly due to him.

Mustafa and Ali were very helpful. Location was good.

Breakfast was mediocre , much like a Holiday inn type of food. Nothing special. Disappointing. Breakfast.

Beautiful cozy riad in my favourite part of the medina. Not too hard to find. Lovely all female staff. Very comfortable beds and great shower with lots of hot water. Lovely breakfast with g-f options.

Authentic Moroccan style. Comfortable beds and good shower. Bathroom washbasin area rather short in ceiling height. A guest who is 6ft would struggle.

Headroom above washbasin area to low

Such a fantastic stay from the moment you walked in, a lovely warm welcome greeted with a traditional tea and sweet treat, very calm and relaxed. Provided with a map of the area and details of site seeing areas, a transitional stay which is what we wanted. Two terraces to also sit and relax. Everything was very well maintained. Our suite was amazing, traditional and everything we needed. Large comfy four post bed, plenty of space to hang up clothes, living area with sofa and table and an amazing large bathroom. Breakfast was served before 11am and you ordered when you were ready, stating where you would like to eat which was then brought to you. The location was perfect for everything you wanted to see as well as plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars just a short walk away

    Absolutely nothing,

Beautiful accommodation, really helpful staff, lovely roof top terrace where we had breakfast every morning, would highly recommend.

Would be nice to be able make tea or coffee in the bedroom.

This riad was so cute and private and super clean. All the staff were exceptional sadly I didn’t get all the names some I got were Yusuf, mustafa and the cooks and the lovely ladies cleaning our room thank you so much ❤️ the location is amazing I would definitely stay here again it was walking distance to all the main attractions.

Nothing everything about it and staff were brilliant

We had a great time at Mur Akush. The area was clean and accessible to main attractions. The staff was exceptional. They made sure that we felt welcomed and made Marrakech feel like a second home. We specifically loved Mustafa. He is very kind, helpful and funny. He is a real gem. He found out that he has many hidden talents as he performed for us and he is an excellent musician.

We were extremely well received at Riad Mur Akush. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel truly welcome and taken care of. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to help us — whether it was preparing a delicious breakfast outside the usual hours or sharing thoughtful tips and recommendations about the beautiful city of Marrakech. The atmosphere of the riad is warm and charming, which made our stay even more special. We truly felt at home. We definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the city and would love to come back in the future!

I believe the entrance to the riad could be a bit better signalized. I got lost on the day of my arrival (my fault), but fortunately, some children from the neighborhood kindly helped me find the door.

We enjoyed our stay at Mur Akush. Our room and bath were both large and very comfortable. Shower was great; plenty of hot water and NO spillage all over the floor. Bed was very comfortable and wifi worked great. The staff is awesome! They were kind and welcoming and met all of our needs. Breakfast was really good. Lastly, the location of Mur Akush is excellent for getting into the souk and also an easy walk to Jardin Marjorelle.

No TV in the room, but that's a minor complaint

Gorgeous suite on top floor, lovely views from roof, breakfast kindly served on the roof terrace every morning. Helpful advice beforehand about what to book for days out etc.

Meal on arrival was a bit disappointing, tagine was v dry with no sauce or side dishes. Didn't eat there again.

We had a very pleasant stay at this riad. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, rooms are beautiful. Great breakfast and dimner too!

The location is really good, the Riad is beautiful with a really nice terrace.

Mattress was two single mattress instead of a double. The tiles in the bathroom needed a good scrubNo privacy in bathroom as window faces internal courtyard. No sound proof

Decent enough Riad. After five times in Marrakech one gets to appreciate some things. It had a very good shower with hot water under good pressure. Beds were comfortable and the place was clean. The terrace allowed for some rest with a cup of mint tea. Decor and ambience were average, but if you are not spending much time there it doesn't matter. Breakfast was standard, but the coffee served was very good, as was the orange juice. The access is probably worth highlighting as it can be reached almost to the door by a taxi and you can grab a taxi outside. It has an excellent hammam almost next doors and it is stone throw away from the suks and some great restaurants (Maison Arabe, Jardin de Lotus) - booking advisable! Initially I thought the price is a bit steep for the place but on the whole I would recommend.

We have just arrived home and what can I say! We booked last minute trip on a recommendation from a friend that had just come back. From the outside we thought we were at the wrong place but when we stepped inside it was utterly beautiful! If you want to experience real morrican culture this is the best place!! Stunning!

    There wasn't anything to dislike.

    10DantePosted on: 3-12-2025

The hotel is in a great location. It is simple to walk to most of the attractions around Marrakech and we had the staff meet us on the road to make sure we didn’t get lost finding the place. They cooked us a delicious and home cooked meal, although it was a little pricier than expected. The staff made sure we were well taken care of, helping to coordinate travel guides and airport drop off. The rooms are large and well taken care of and it was lovely being able to eat breakfast on the roof. We would highly recommend staying here in the future.

The WiFi was a little spotty in the rooms but it worked well in the courtyard.

Breakfast was good10 min walk to Medina, Secret Garden etc

As it was winter the breakfast room was a little chilly. The local cat population (many!) spent each night fighting in the alley behind the Riad, although they probably do this everywhere!
