What an amazing place! We checked in at a different hotel on the first day, in the city centre, but were extremely disappointed so the next day we checked out, then found this hotel on this site and wow wow wow... it's definitely worth a 30 minutes drive from town every day, just to stay here, amazing people work there, amazing looking place, very very personalised experience, will definitely recommend to everybody.

The staff were terrific and it was clean.

Important to note that the premisis does not have a licence so no alcohol and the nearest place to buy alcohol is 30 mins and a €90 car ride away so stock up at duty free on your way out. Amenities were limited to hair and body wash combined and small moisturiser. We thought we had a room with a patio but this isn’t the case for any of the rooms. Also everything from a mid morning coffee to a glass of morrocan mint tea in the afternoon is charged to the bill at eye watering prices.

The villa was exceptional. Everything even better than advertised on the website. Also, the staff was great.

1)it was 30min ride from marrakech which is a problem as the transfers are 45-60euro per direction. 2) no alcohol.

We stayed in a villa which was lovely and spacious. The private pool was huge and the gardens beautiful and well kept. Very comfortable beds, excellent breakfast (including for 7am check out) and considerate and welcoming staff

1- The food at the hotel is good but incredibly expensive (4x what you would pay in Marrakesh for similar quality, 55 EUR a head). Worse still the prices aren’t declared in advance (no menu and one option to buy 3’e course dinner) or even declared on the bill afterwards. Fortunately we asked! The manager tried to justify this by claiming next door is twice as expensive… we ended up travelling into Marrakesh every night as there are no other local options (was still half the price)2- the bathrooms smelt like drains. When we arrived incense burners were in the rooms to try and mask this. When we complained more burners were added but the smell still lingered3- the air con had issues. We complained and they fixed it in one room but the other was still sweltering throughout our trip4- the kitchen has no utensils, pans or crockery other than 4 plates, 4 knives and forks and 4 tiny coffee cups. It was almost like they wanted to force you to eat their overpriced food rather than cooking…

We loved the hotel, it was absolutely amazing. The interior was beautiful, very relaxing and calm. The staff were unbelievably kind, helpful, accommodating and friendly. I would like to especially mention Nabil and Hiba at reception, and everyone else in the hotel for their hospitality. If I was to come again to Marrakech, I would definitely stay at Palais Alcazar.

The only thing I didn't like was the location. I understand it is not something the hotel can change, but there is utterly nothing around the hotel, it is very secluded and far from the city. Getting to and from the city was a little scary for us, as we were just two girls. The area that the hotel is in is very secluded and getting to the hotel, there is no buildings, people or security. We relied on taxis, but even then coming back in the evening in a taxi to the hotel was scary for us.

The Palais Alcazar is situated 20 minutes by car from the centre of Marrakech. Don’t be alarmed by the approach as it is located in an area undergoing re-development. Once through the gates, you’ll be greeted by an oasis of peace and tranquillity. Our room, which was in a Riad, was well appointed ‘though a bit dark. (The image on the website has been taken with the windows open but they aren’t glazed). The garden has been sympathetically planted with species including Bougainvillea, Madagascan Periwinkle, Brazilian peppertree, Chinese hibiscus and Weeping figs.We were very well looked after by Hiba, Abdel, Younes, Omaima, Chama and the other staff.

Whilst the hotel may be 5-star by Moroccan standards, it is not by international standards; although, to be fair, the prices aren’t either. It took a number of visits from housekeeping before the heating worked satisfactorily. We never managed to get the TV channels to work (possibly because the TV was not connected to a satellite?) Fortunately, the television was intelligent so we could access YouTube, Netflix and Prime Video. Our main disappointment was with the dinner menu which was uninspiring, boring and repetitive. The food was not particularly well cooked and expensive for what it was. Alternatives were not really an option given the hotel’s location.

    Beautiful property. Very spacious rooms.

The facilities weren’t available that the website stated. No fitness centre. No spa. Massages were done in your room.Even though it was beautiful, the value for money was not there. The staff seemed flustered, kept sending whatsapps at strange times and it seemed as though they were not ready for us, as the property is still being “built”.We had to look for people to start breakfast in the mornings and it just did not match what we paid for.Definitely not a 5 star experience.

I couldn't be more thankful for each and every member of this establishment. Thank you for being there for me each and every minute of the day. Extremely warm staff and beautiful well kept property. Calm and relaxing, it makes you feel the property is all yours. The overall experience definitely fulfills everyone dreams of a stay in Marrakech , architecture, food, and hospitality of the locals. The property is 20 min away from the city but full of attractions inhouse or in the vicinity. Chose from the beautiful pool and pool bar in the facility, to spas , horse back riding, desert Camel strolls dune bashing and hot air balloons all few minutes away , pick up included. This is a completely different experience than your typical Marrakech post card. Definitely worse the stay

My 4 day stay was short

The staff were exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure my stay was perfect.I was also incredibly impressed by the quality of the food; every meal was a treat, offering delicious and authentic flavors that added to the overall experience. The environment of the property was wonderful, with a beautiful swimming pool that was the perfect spot to relax and unwind.Overall, this property exceeded all my expectations, and I would not hesitate to return or recommend it to anyone looking for an outstanding stay!

My stay at Palais Alcazar Marrakech was truly exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, attending to every detail with care. The food was outstanding, and both the room and the garden were absolutely stunning. The complimentary breakfast offered a wonderful variety, providing the perfect start to each day. This hotel is perfect for couples seeking relaxation and tranquility. I’ll definitely comeback to Palais Alcazar Marrakech for future visits.

We did a lot of research to find the Villa we wanted and went on the hotel website to confirm it had all the amenities we wanted . We contacted them via their website before arriving to inform them of our choice of villa and to book their airport pick up as depicted on their website. Initial communication with the hotel staff was good. When we were there the staff were helpful but their manager was insincere and misleading and unresponsive to engage in addressing major failures.

Despite our pre-arrival research and contact with the hotel staff they misrepresented their ACTUAL amenities. Their website clearly shows an operational gym, refers to spa treatments and shows a picture of a dedicated hotel pick up luxury limousine. The gym has yet to be built, their airport pick was a contracted out taxi driver who had never been to the property before and the spa is not built yet either. The reception was irregularly operational so when we telephoned for service or help to rectify errors there was no one to respond. This is far from any fair interpretation of 5 Star service or facilities . There was intermittent hot water and the shower in our main bedroom only ran cold to tepid . It took all week of complaining about this for it to be finally rectified on the night of our departure 6 days later. It appeared they had turned the hot water off ( to save money ?) The included breakfasts developed into a farcical routine, with things not being delivered, usually a half hour wait to be fully provided and stale / not fresh food . Despite being told we could choose the villa we requested we were given the other. It became apparent why with the building construction work immediately on the same site , with all the noise and dust that creates. No reference to this in the website or told to us pre arrival . We were grossly deceived by the website and when we complained to the staff and manager they told us this was the fault of the website designer . Total nonsense!! We requested some fair compensation but this was refused . When I paid the final bill I clearly stated I did not agree with it . I had been charged for the provision of facilities that just were not available and retained all my rights .Access to the property is up a long dirt track and not a 5 star grade road .The worst experience I have ever had in what purports to be a completed five star hotel but which is in reality a hotel still under construction.

    Clean

As a local in Morocco who frequently stays in hotels in Marrakech, this was my first bad experience at such a place. Management refused to cancel my reservation even though I requested it three days prior to check-in. The hotel is quite average for the price, despite how it appears in the photos. The rooms labeled as ‘suites’ are quite small, and the location is 25 minutes from Marrakech, with poor transport options. We chose the hotel for its distance from the city center, expecting a peaceful stay, but it turned into a wedding venue over the weekend, with loud Moroccan weddings from 9 AM until 2 AM. Additionally, the air conditioning in our suite was noisy, so we had to choose between being uncomfortable or enduring the sound. My advice: there are many better and more affordable hotels in Marrakech.

    9NoorPosted on: 6-9-2024

The privacy of the hotel, and I would like to compliment Mr. Badr and Ms Omaima for their overall services

No options of room service dine in

    9VincentPosted on: 6-8-2024

The place is absolutely quiet and paradisiacal ... there is no noise at all, we are far away from the noisily surroundings of Jemma El-Fna square ... the swimming pool is gorgeous, it's easy to make contacts with the neighbours of other villas or the other travellers staying in the riad. The host is very welcoming, the guards are available 24/7, premium service. I remember Bader who welcomed us and organised our lift with taxis ... very easygoing. Shokran Bader !!

Nothing really. The contrast was impressive between busy and noisily Jemma El-Fna ... but you are close to the quality of accommodation offered in Marrakech Hivernage ... if you want to go to a rated restaurant in town, it's a 30-minutes drive ... but you can stay within the property and enjoy the excellent food proposed by the Palace.
