About
Next to the Palais El Badi, in the heart of the Medina, this charming traditional Berber-style riad, is near the Dar Si Said Museum and Jamaâ El Fna Square. Decorated with natural Berber materials such as natural stone, burnt bricks, terracotta, clay and wood, the Riad Carina welcomes you in a characterful and authentic setting. The patio with its basin offers a cozy setting to eat, socialize or simply unwind. Guests can also relax in the flowered pergola on the large terrace or in the Moroccan lounge. The rooms at the Riad Carina are decorated in the same natural style as the rest of the riad using the same materials. They offer individual air conditioning and heating as well as free Wi-Fi access.

Cons -
- Nothing about Riad Carina was disappointing. I can't believe this is considered a three star facility.
- Our room was in the secondary building, which felt slightly neglected compared to the main riad.Small hole in the bathroom window facing the stairwell — a privacy concern.Wobbly bathroom tap that could use fixing. Not the best value for money compared to other riads we stayed at.

decoration, rooftop

Location was excellent to explore medina.
The drinking glasses in the room were very dirty, clearly hadn't been washed since previous stay. The drawer had wrapper of crisps in it.Towels were very worn out and some torn with old stains on them.Very disappointed by the cleanliness and maintenance of basic amenities.
Friendly staff and great location. It was clean and well organized.
The room was a little dark.
- Great location not far from the main square.- Spacious and quiet terrace to relax.- Good and tasty breakfast. The staff also kindly prepared us a takeaway breakfast when we had an early start one morning.- Traditional architecture albeit in need of a bit of a refresh.
- Parts of the riad were in need of modernising/refreshing, for example the terrace furniture was showing signs of age and other parts were a bit tired.- Room didn't feel the cleanest we'd ever stayed in but did the job for the 2 nights we were there.- As other reviews have mentioned, this size of room (safari twin) is small - with narrower than usual single beds - but was fine for a short stay.[NB you likely wouldn't want to swim in the pool, it is more of a decorative feature].
I liked how big the room was and the shower was nice.
I had to wait a long time for the room, despite it being ready. The owners also talked in their language about us and it made us uncomfortable.
Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast on the terrace. Location of riad
Room. Very small, limited space for luggage or hanging clothes. Liked the riad in general but would advise paying more for a bigger room
Good hotel, my room was smaller than expected but still manageable for a few days. Clean through out with friendly staff.
Excellent position and easy to find following the directions. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Very quiet an beautiful rooftop
Room was quite dark
Beautiful location, room was comfortable, breakfast was a feast and it was very convenient for the Medina, Jemaa al-Fnaa, and transfer to the airport. Riad Africa made us unfailingly welcome. We had to make some last minute changes to arrangements and Riad Africa were very helpful. We really enjoyed our short stay and would recommend Riad Africa to anyone visiting Marrakesh.
Nothing much.
Location, quiet, lovely staff.
Breakfast was a but small and limited, pool water couldnt hurt from a filter (but was still swimmable)Shower was not warm and floor needed a good clean
We really loved everybody's hospitality and their willingness to help. Saeed, especially, was an absolute gem. Genuinely, the people of Morocco are some of the highlights of the world, and Saeed and the rest of the staff embody that. When we go back to Morocco, we will 100% be staying at Riad Africa again.
Location is great
Grimy, the pictures are misleading it's not as fresh in reality, breakfast served by people in outside coats (??), the place could be super just needs staff training on hygiene...dare I say ...get some women involved and it will be more welcoming and a better standard
I stayed at Riad Africa for 7 nights. The staff at the Riad are well trained, helpful and friendly. They did everything they could to ensure that my stay was great. Staff were always willing to explain things to me and answer any questions either about the Riad or about activities and places I wanted to go. The staff were not just there to run the Riad, but were concerned that their guests have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The chef is excellent, he produced delicious food every single night.
I would have liked my coffee glasses to be changed for clean ones daily, rather than rinsed out in the bathroom!
The heater worked well in the room.Staff are friendly and helpful. Wifi works well. Food is buffet and good.Location is good, but a little hard to find.
The room was very-very small, the bed was hard and shorter than me and the blanket is not comfortable. There is not much space for your legs at the toilet if you are sitting down.I selected this riad for the heated pool (as it was written on the booking page), but none of the pools was heated (and the workers did not want to heat it up because of vaporation). So I paid a lot more than what this small room would worth it.
The location was perfect for walking around the medina. I enjoyed starting my day with breakfast on the rooftop. Redouane and his staff made sure I had everything I needed.
I don't have any dislikes
Good location, good breakfast, beautiful rooftop
Very small rooms, slightly old, quite dark
