Le Foyer Colca

We liked the location, the view was stunning and the fact that travelling with kids we were able to designate a time for breakfast to be served. There was a big grass area where the kids could play soccer.

We had to purchase two room for four people, there were no rooms for two adults and two kids.

Wonderfully maintained, great location. If you're going to visit Colca Canyon, I suggest staying here rather than taking the long bus ride from Arequipa.

The view was lovely.Bed and pillows were good. Orne way film on the windows meant I didn't need to close the curtains to stop people looking in. Great touch.

The room was very comfortable, spacious and cozy with a dining table and two chairs, private bathroom with shower. The room was quite cold, but there were warm blankets. The only serious disadvantage is the lack of mosquito nets and despite of the cold weather there are plenty of mosquitos. Breakfast is scrambled eggs with tea, jam, mango juice and coffee americano. There is free parking available and tea and coffee at reception as a compliment to hotel guests.

Wonderful view of the mountains with a small garden out in front. Heater was provided or else the bedroom would have been bone- cold. Friendly staff who helped get taxis and extra towels.

Breakfast was rather spartan and the room where it was served was a few degrees above freezing.

The room, the view, the quietness. A place where you can enjoy some quiet time far away from the bigger cities.

Checkout 10am and breakfast til 8am is very early for us. Did allow us to stay 30 minutes longer when we asked.

One of the best places we stayed in our 6 months of travel! The most beautiful views, nice breakfast and not many tourists. Loved it!

Lovely staff! The owner took great care of us. The rooms are lovely, comfy beds, nice showers. Breakfast was good as well. And the best about the rooms is the stunning view!The rooms were a bit cold, but the owner even offered an electrical heating device.

The breakfast is very basic.

Very beautiful and clean hotel with amazing views of the mountains. Breakfast is included and WiFi worked very well. Besides that, there was a safe parking for my motorbike. Just a few blocks from the town square and also at the beginning of the trail to visit Inca ruins and the waterfall.

Make sure to ask for a heater for your room if gets a bit chilly :)

The staff at Le Foyer were very kind and helpful: they gave us good directions for hiking, helped confirm a tour reservation, and gave us a thermos of hot water with tea when we were not feeling well. Location was great for light hiking from this quiet town.

The room was not as large as it appeared in the booking site, so was a bit tight for the two of us friends.

Personnel not very present. No heater (lots of condensation makes things impossible to dry). Sheets too small for the bed.

Lovely hostel in Yanque. Excellent staff. Big clean rooms, clean bathroom. Breakfast served every morning. Great location for our stay near the Colca Canyon.

More public options for transportation, but really not a big problem if you arrange with staff.

The staff was really helpful with us. The bedroom really clean and comfortable, with a nice view on the mountain.The breakfast was pretty complete with eggs, bread, marmelade, tea and coffee and a pleasant service :)

We can ear the neighbor because the wall is very thin.

The rooms are quite new, the staff is very friendly and give a lot of information, if you have some questions (in spanish). You can walk to the Main square in 3 minutes and find some restaurant there (do not expect too much from Yanque, is a small village). The view on the mountains from the room is just magic. Hot water all day long, breakfast is standard as in every place in this area. We highly recommend this place!

Everything is perfect.

We woke up to amazing views every morning. The owner was super kind and even came with us on our tour to el Cruz del Condor. The water was hot and the bed was very comfortable. Definitely a great experience and a great place to base ourselves for gorgeous hikes around Yanque.

This doesn’t have anything to do with the hotel, but maybe just a warning that there weren’t very many restaurants open for dinner in town. We ended up eating at the same coffee shop near the plaza de armas every night.

Beautiful view from the rooms ?We booked for 4 nights and extended our stay to 7 nights as we loved it so much. A beautiful, peaceful location and close to local shops and restaurants. We will return!
