Pros +
- We loved the room and the jacuzzi, everything was perfect for what we were looking for, it made our time there very special, the food of the restaurant was great, I'd recommend having more foods to offer though, other than that it was amazing.
- The restaurant had excellent service, but the reception had poor service (provided incorrect information about hot springs; water was cold; service was awful; problems with the facility, which is not part of the hotel; water was dirty; and we did not use the facility at all). The stay was for one night, and the room did not have hot water; hot water was provided after a complaint. Management addressed the issue of water in the room.
- Good location
Cons -
- The road to get to the hotel, I understand the road in coporaque has nothing to do with Aranwa but the switch backs I had to drive to get there weren't the greatest, they could do some work on the road so it's smoother for the vehicles, Thankfully I had a SUV but a small car would suffer a little to get there, if I had a small car I wouldn't had been able to stay there.
- Poor service during checking, information wrong.
- Very very cold in our second floor room even with separate heater because we think heat got trapped in the tray cathedral ceiling. We were invited to use the warm springs but they had flooded so we're closed and the pool was way too cold.

Good location
Very very cold in our second floor room even with separate heater because we think heat got trapped in the tray cathedral ceiling. We were invited to use the warm springs but they had flooded so we're closed and the pool was way too cold.
Right by a big river. Two little rivers ran through the property and made a waterfall, whose sound lulled us to sleep. There is a hot springs right by the property.
Lots of amenities…restaurant, bar, hot springs right next door, bikes on the property, alpacas, etc. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room and bathroom were very spacious, comfortable, and clean. Being along the river was beautiful.
It was a bit of a drive off the main road, but worth it.
Excellent facilities located in a beautiful place in the Colca valley
The dish I ordered did not meet my expectations. (Guinea pig), which is supposed to be an speciality in this region. The entrance to the hotel was bumpy
Beautiful location. Very clean. Great meals. Extremely accommodating to someone who needed a wheelchair. Great accommodations.
It is down a hill so it would be nice if someone was at the gate at arrival and helped up with our bags up and down the hill.
Amazing location and views.Ideal for relaxing. Excellent kind service, specially from Isabel at the spa and the waiters at the restaurant.
The decoration of the facilities could be better, according to the area and the concept of “pueblito encantado”…. Less metal and more rustic/rattan chairs, sofas, lamps in the rooms.
The property is beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious! We enjoyed the room especially the beautiful bathrooms. We even used the fireplace and built a lovely fire to make it nice and cozy. The alpacas were awesome to see and help feed.
Some of the furniture in the chalet was dated and stained as well as the dining tables and chairs in the restaurant.
A friend of our group had an incident with his room in our last day, management resolved it quickly and we had a great stay and experience in Colca.
Hotel is a bit far away from town and road access is very narrow, our bus couldn’t go to the hotel and we had to arrange a van ourselves to be able to enter. I expected the hotel to help with this.
Good location right next to the river. A bit hard to get there if you have your own car. Good breakfast and very friendly staff.
The hot water did not work in the morning. Had to take the shower in a different room.
the property is beautiful and the front desk lady was nice
I didn’t like that we weren’t met at the gate to help with bags. the reception was no help, and we had to carry heavy luggages down this steep driveway as our taxi is not allowed into the property. Also, I did not appreciate getting charged 18% tax when I am clearly a tourist with US passport. They changed me 18% for room and for the restaurant! They would not waive the fee.
The kindness of the staff, all of them!!
The ambience, comfort and quality of installations
nice view and comfortable
I have paid $79 additional for a dinner and New Year’s party. the food was terrible and the “party” was really bad
It’s a lovely hotel in every sense, unfortunately the divisions in rooms it’s not thick enough and you can hear everything happening in the next room
the lack of sound proofing. we had an awful night since our neighbors had 2 kids. one baby that kept crying all night long, and at 6am all 4 family members were loudly talking and the 2 kids screaming constantly. if you plan to stay here, make a remark to be away from families if you plan to rest and sleep

Drive down to the hotel needs a high clearance vehicleUnit seems it had not been used in a while:Rotting window and door sillsFloor wax is peeling off
The room was great, they put an extra bed in for us as 3 friends. I loved the big bath!! The location was beautiful and nicely designed. It was very close to really good thermal baths. The food prices were better than I expected.
The restaurant needs to understand gluten free food a lot better. I had written with anticipation and they said they could meet my needs. However the restaurant staff did not understand what gluten free meant, and offered me vegetarian food (which was also gluten free), and when I ordered meat the next day they exclaimed, "oh, can you eat meat?!" There was very little I could eat at the buffet breakfast, it would be great to have gf bread and cereal options. Some of the decor is a little jaded for a 4 star hotel, peeling paint on bathroom mirror, the massage room I had in the spa could do with a facelift. The hotel wanted to charge $350 for transfers to and from Arequipa---absolutely ridiculous!! The local minivans charge s/20. I understand the hotel transfer costing a bit more than public transport, but seriously, that was extortionate. Plus they said they charged $35 for taxi from Chivay to the hotel, but in reality we got a local taxi and it was only s/80 both ways between 3 of us.
The environment. It's a beautiful place to stay.
The food could have been better. There were not that many options and a few weren't available.
Wonderfull place with friendly staff and incredible genius loci. Wellness, nearby hot springs, quality kitchen, all kinds of animals to watch or even pet. In one word EVERYTHING your ever wanted.
The location, games and infrastructure. The restaurant staff was amazing !! Best chef ever!!!
